A friend and I ate dinner there this past week. We live in Fishers, drive by it all the time and were trying to find something new, which unfortunately was a mistake. The beer selection is lacking, the food was mediocre at best, but the reason neither my friend nor I will ever come back, was the service. We sat on the bar side and had the rudest waitress. She behaved as if she were annoyed by our very presence, even though we were her only table. She barely checked on us (i.e. refilled drinks, etc.) . She stood behind the bar and talked to the bartender and people who were clearly "regulars". She practically threw our plates onto the table as she walked by and when she came to collect the plates when we were finished, she asked me, "Thats all your going to eat? Youre done?" She couldnt rush us out of there fast enough. I understand paying special attention to your regular customers, but I dont understand ostracizing new ones. Ive never felt so unwelcome. Never again.

Went to the Nickel Plate Bar & Grill for the first time last night with my girlfriend. She has always told me about it but Ive never actually been there. Im a huge Fish and Chips kind of person - British and English background - but when I saw something that said "BBQ Mess". What the heck - I had to go for it. WOW! IT! WAS! AMAZING! The food, the atmosphere, the entire place was awesome. Sat out on the patio - doors shut - but it was still very nice. Before leaving, I kind of walked around and took a look at everything else. I loved the vibe, loved the look, and of course loved the food. Will def be back!

Atmosphere/Decor/Service all good, but the food is mediocre. Ive eaten here twice and ordered the B&O burger and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich respectively. Both sandwiches were mediocre at best and the their fries are pretty standard, nothing to make them special in any way. Ive heard that the tenderloin is the way to go when dining here. I probably wouldnt eat here again but if end up here in the future, Ill go with the tenderloin recommendation.

This is a great place in the heart of Fishers for a beer or mixed drink. Food is standard pub fare and includes wings, burgers, and other items that pair well with a cold draft. I find the mix drinks to be well made. The beer selection could be better, especially on draft. Typically I choose a bottled beer for more variety. I love the outdoor seating but the bar area is nice too. Overall its a great place to end the evening.

The aesthetic inside is nice and the staff is friendly. If you are going for a beer, not too shabby. The food on the other hand. Whoever was cooking when we were there needs to stop. Its basically bar food with lots or breaded and fried stuff. Food that hit the table was dripping in old oil that tasted like the friers hadnt been cleaned. AND the oil they are using was rancid. Gross. Sorry.

Went there last Friday, the place is very cool and seems like a great place to hang out with some friends but the staff was not very friendly. Had the bison burger which I was not impressed with it. Ive had bison burgers before and this was by far the least tasty. My wife had the stew and it tasted like hot water with some vegetables in it, no flavor at all. Wont be going back to it.

The best chicken fingers in the history of fowl. We have been coming here since 1992 and the chicken fingers keep us returning. We moved out of state for 12 yrs and I asked the cook how do they make them just so I could have them. They shared the ingredients and process. While mine are good, these are great! Try them! The tenderloin is another fav in our group.

Its a cute little place. Was hoping to sit in their "outside" area, but the weather didnt cooperate. Probably a decent place to be a regular, if you live in the area or like the Steelers. Food and service was "meh" Not much of a tap selection. TVs were big & plentiful, so not a bad place to meet the gang for a game. Doubtful well go back with so many other options.

We have been wanting to come here for a long time. We got some of our club family to come out and watch the game in stealers country. The place is very nice. The Problem is the waitress we have has a bad attitude, like we are bothering her being here. Her name is Liz. We eat out a lot would love to return but with customer service like this Im not sure we will.

I was underwhelmed with my strawberry chicken salad. When the menu description says "mixed greens," I dont expect all head lettuce. If the salad truly had been mixed greens, then I would have given a higher rating. Additionally, if the first word is "strawberry," a generous amount of strawberries would be nice.

The train theme really should be more prominent here since it is named after the Nickel Plate Road and is right on the train tracks BUT they have great food, great prices, love the old brick walls, beer, lighting, very comfortable atmosphere. Fun place to meet your friends out for a beer or food.

I living in Fort Wayne. I love stopping in every time I come to Indy. The bar and grill Id a small, quaint establishment that serves really good hospitality, along with great food. I personally love their tenderloins.

Horrible service.. manager complained why I cancelled my order for pickup in exchange to eat in and stay.. apparently the manager has no composure at all and steelers suck by the way. Haha

Very popular with the locals in fishers but Ive been to much better spots. Needless to say, its a decent spot. Just stay away when its busy. They seemed like they couldnt handle the damand
