This was the first time I have been to Citrus. It was recommended by a friend and I was told it would be a good place to meet some friends that I havent seen for a while. The food was good and prices were reasonable however I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome shortly after I arrived. We requested a table for 8 adults and 3 children and were seated quickly as we arrived early. When we requested three highchairs however the man seating us rolled his eyes. We were only offered a single refill on coffee and then given a single check. We were never asked if we wanted to split the checks and when we asked if it was possible to split the check we were made to sound that it was our fault for not specifying how to split the check. Plates were cleared while we were still sitting and take home boxes were brought to the table before we were done eating. The wait staff kept coming over and looking at us making me uncomfortable but never offering additional coffee or water. After being at the restaurant for a little over an hour we were told to leave because they had people waiting. While I understand they want to get people in and out there was nothing about the service that was acceptable and I have never been kicked out of a restaurant before. It is my opinion that when you have a customer that arrives before a rush they shouldnt be kicked out to make room for others that arrive at a later time. Needless to say I have no plan of returning as there are plenty of other breakfast options available nearby.

I recently read a review of the Moondance restaurant that rated it as one of the best breakfast restaurants in the Western suburbs. After reading the review my family and I decided to try their breakfast fare. What an utter disappointment!!! The food was horrible, it was completely tasteless, and it seemed that their cooks just threw the ingredients in a skillet and let it cook until it seemed well browned. If however you are scheduled for a colonoscopy the next day, this just might be the place for you, because after dining on their ill prepared breakfast food you fill find yourself in the nearest bathroom cleaning out your system. For the money you spend there, you would almost be better off going to your local gas station mini-mart and grabbing a few packaged food items and throwing them in a microwave and then get yourself a half tank of gas. But seriously, if you are in the area and thinking about dining at the Moondance restaurant, do yourself a favor and go about 2 miles west down Ogden Avenue and go to the Omega restaurant an establishment that has a wonderful atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. Please dont subject your family or friends to this absolutely horrible culinary nightmare.

Ive been going to Moondance Diner off and on for over ten years and the one thing I can tell you is that there food has never gone downhill. Just as the name suggests its a Diner and youll be finding breakfast and lunch here which your taste buds will be happy about! Constantly the kitchen offers specials and I have yet to have a bad meal here. On the weekends you are probably going to hit a wait. Now onto the meals while I first want to make sure that you know that they put something addictive into the pancakes (you cant stop eating them!) that everything is good. On a diet or trying to eat healthy? Dont worry theyve got a good selection of healthy options as well for those who have to avoid the pancakes... Which Im currently drooling over just thinking about. Oh thats right I mentioned lunch too. Its not all pancakes and omelettes to tides you over. There is a healthy array of sandwiches and one of my favorite tortilla soups (that you can find in the area at least.) The food is always good, the wait isnt usually too long, and the wait staff is friendly and quick with refills. Well worth a stop if you are in the Westmont area!

I saw a review of this place on Yelp the other day and the fam and I decided to try it out Saturday morning, and we were not disappointed. This place is kind of tucked away and I dont know if I would have ever noticed it without someone else having told me it was there. The wait time was about 15 minutes as it was quite busy. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and the menu had a nice selection of food. Theres even a healthy section, which my wife chose from. You get a lot of food, but the price is also a tad high. I wish there were an option for like 3/4 of the food for 3/4 of the price or something, as my wife and daughter were full and not able to finish their plates. Were definitely adding Moondance to our rotation of breakfast places to eat at and well tell our friends about it.

I am NOT a fan of this place. Each time that I have ordered here they seem to get it wrong. It was just a simple Cheese Quesadilla, but they assume that no one eats a plain one. When I went in to place an order at a different time that customer service that I receded was terrible. The manager did not greet me nor did he display even a phoney smile. It seemed as if i were bothering him. If my job had not bought lunch I SWEAR i would not have eaten . I hate this place. I do not care who buys lunch I will never eat here again, Ill stare first

Upbeat atmosphere, adorable decor. The waitress was nice, the food was brought out promptly. Pictured is the Yacht Club with a side of cottage cheese. It was very filling, I had leftovers. They have carafes filled with ice water and lemons at every table which was refreshing. They have fresh squeezed lemonade, I ordered that and was disappointed it was watered down. Definitely recommend eating here for lunch! Watch out though, they have short hours, we arrived shortly before 1:45pm, and they close at 2:30pm.

It was our first visit.Good food. Better than your average diner. Our waitress was way too pushy. For example, if two people are staring at menus, you dont barge in and ask "are you ready to order". Didnt see what I would call a manager over seeing the controlled chaos of a busy restaurant... We will probably give it another try to see if we just visited on an off day.

Food was good service was awesome. First time here with my family and everything we ate came out quick and no complaints. Wait was 15minutes even though it was valentines day we got seated quickly. Steak and eggs. Steak skillet and the waffles were definitely on point. They got something great here and we will definitely drive the 30 minutes to come eat here again

We were offered no refills on coffee. Check came with our plates. Staff was annoyed that we brought young children. We were told our 2 & 4 year old needed to behave better in their restaurant, they were behaving like a 2 year old and 4 year old, laughing and bouncy. It is a diner, that we went to for lunch, I would have expected it to be kid friendly.

No complain with the meals, it was perfect. My bill was $40.05, left $10 for the waitress. Took my check to the cashier, I didnt have small change with me. I told her I didnt have .05 Cents, She told me I do have change. I had to break $20 bill to cover $0.5 Cents. That pissed me off, not going back again.
