Prior to visit this location, IHOP had always been the go to location for me and my family. But here in Wisconsin since moving here, we have went less due to the service and conditions of our food. On all 4 occasions our order has either been wrong, cold , or took entirely to long to come out. The service here is lacking in experienced motivated personal who want to be there, or just straight up personal who want to really work. We sat there waiting to be served the last and final time we will go back for a good 15 mins with three toddlers. If you have kids you know the difficulty in keeping them preoccupied. It took another couple to send a server to our side as I wanted to see just how long it would have taken. Mind you that this seems to happen each time we had went there. We havent ever had a hard time with any other locations in North Carolina prior to this location but safe to say we will no longer return. Till either we move to a closer location that has a better served and staffed ihop. Rant complete.

They took stuffed French toast off the menu, which was our favorite item. They were out of all juice, other than orange juice and grapefruit juice. They were out of all lemonade, even though strawberry lemonade was featured on their table tents. They were out of red potatoes for the dinner my mom ordered. They were out of the sauce to cover the Bananas Foster French toast I ordered. Seriously, stock up. The server was very nice, and did her best substitute for missing items on the menu. The food was good, but a little slow.

What did I like about it? Well, the fact that the plating was nice and food was hot was my only positive. My Dr. Pepper tasted like root beer, when I asked why they proceeded to tell me they had root beer three months ago and it still tasted the same. Call for replacement hoses! My waffle was bland and tastless and the server gave us our check five minutes after we received the food. This was my second bad experience with IHOP and I will not be going back again. Thank you for the easy decision.

I have ate there several times,with 3 kids. They were very helpful getting the things needed for the kids,such as coloring books,booster seats and telling them what their kid meals were.I also order to go probably once a week just because I personally can eat breakfast all day if possible. I only had one complaint and that was the forgot to give us one of our hashbrowns,but they credited us for it and gave us a another meal for free. So ihop on Layton gets 4 stars!!Keep up the great service

Best IHOP in the milwaukee area. This restaurant has pancakes and more! The food is sent out fast and hot. The staff is friendly and attentive. My waitress gave me refills and pulls dirty plates without request. What more could one ask for with a cookie cutter establishment as such. Cons: Space is smaller then most IHOPs. Thus, you may have a wait time, which is unheard of for your average breakfast stop. Pictured is "mint hot chocolate". An A++ choice.

Last night 6-15-16. called in an order , went to pick it up , i still had to wait a half hour , and on the top of all of this they didnt have bags to put food in . AND THE CASHER I THINK HER NAME WAS NICOLE , SHE BROUGHT ME A GARBGE BAG TO CARRY THE FOOD IN. THIS WAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IT COULD EVER BE, ALWAYS BOUGHT IHOP , BUT AFTER THIS , NEVER EATING AT IHOP AGAIN ,WHAT SO EVER. DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY ONE.

Food was normal food but service was horrible. Took 10 minutes to get our drink order taken. Food came out in a decent time but then took 20 minutes after both plates were clear to get our check, we had to ask for it. Then we had to wait at the register to even pay our bill. I understand we came later at night but when we walked in there were 4 staff members sitting there doing nothing and the same thing when we left.

Worst experience ever! We sat 12 minutes before 1 employee said a simple "HELLO, HI, ILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU" I totally understand "the wait" but To walk in a facility and have 7 employees walk by you and not one person says "hello" I think that says a lot about and establishments Then the moment you ask for a manager 3 employees wanna walk up to you and say "hello" and "Hi"and "what can I do for you"

Service was terrible, took forever, 30 mins after ordering she told us they were out of some food we had ordered, took another 20 mins to ask what we wanted instead, found plastic in the hashbrowns, took an hour to get half our order.. Messed up the order and charged for the wrong order they made... politely apologized but still charged for the wrong order and wouldnt budge... I had to ask for reduction in what they charged (they should have done it without having to ask) and they still wouldnt ...bad customer service skills.. Im a regular customer here and get the same order each time!!

One star is a lot for raiting this place. Very bad experience. The manager was flirting with the waitresses and not care the place was packed and needed costumer attencion. I was there for 30 min. And still no served but two tables ahead of me were and eating their food already. The other two locations with profanity all the time. REALLY BAD CHOICE.

Food was almost cold when I got it. Vegetables were a little old tasting. Service was terrible. Waitress did not ask once how the food was, not did any of the waitstaff to any other tables that I observed in my time there. Unorganized, and forgot to bring out a requested item for the meal. Just overall mediocre experience.

Worst Service Ever. There were five people on staff and it took them 20 mins to seat us even though half of the restaurant was empty. Checked in at 2.20 am, seated at 2.55 and food took so long to come out that we left the restaurant at 3 30 am. It was our fasting month and we ended up fasting on an empty stomach.

Waitress was good, food sucked all microwaved except the eggs country fried steak dry like the desert smoked sausage same & cheap no flavor brand not like I HOP used to be cant even smell the food cooking for $25 I could have got a frozen meal nuked it home & saved $20 bucks!

The food is fine, service is usually fine but for management to not have anyone working who can authorize a discount is just irresponsible. Luckily I had my coupon in hand when I sat down so the employee told me right away, giving me the chance to modify the order.

Spicy chicken sandwich is okay for 9.99 salad is like 3 dollars. nothing spectacular, and you can do better at chick fil a for a chicken sandwich of superior quality. Waitress seemed overworked and distracted, so she was unable to get us more refreshments.
