"Do it for Villa Park" is only one of the owners favorite sayings and I must agree. The coffee and atmoshere are top notch for such a little storefront shop. Art on the walls, all local, all for sale. Music recorded, on cd or even live. Great hot spot for internet connections. Politics, sports, music, schools and the occasional government cover-ups are all open to debate at the Funky Java. Best put to the test yourself. Stop by and meet the owner hes very nice and loves meeting new people.

Just stopped at this place for a cup of coffee for the road. I was greeted by the nicest guy behind the counter who informed me they do not take debit ot credit cards. Well it was my lucky day because I found a couple bucks in my wallet and was able to grab a cup of coffee for the road. Great coffee, great atmosphere and great people. Keep this local gem in business and stop here next time youre in Villa Park.

Ive only been to Funky Java a few times, but every time, the owner (I feel so bad that I dont know his name) has been super great. Hes always super polite and friendly, and makes me feel welcome. The coffee is great, but they are cash only, so make sure you have some paper money on you! (There is an atm in the parking lot, if youre in a pinch.)
