I dont normally post reviews, but I made an exception for Mumbai Tandoor. Tonight was our second time eating at Mumbai Tandoor, and it was even better than the first (and our first time was amazing). Started with vegetable Samosas and the vegetable sampler. The Samosas, pakoras, and Hari Bari Tikki were incredible. The depth of flavor we experienced were just the beginning. We ordered Chicken Tikka, vegetable biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan, and paratha. Wow! Ive eaten good and bad Indian furious before, but tonight was the first time Ive had great Indian food. The depth of flavor was to die for. Our picky children, age and 12, loved it, too. The owners, BK and Jay, were top notch. Very accommodating and gracious. I will be telling everyone I know about the wonderful food and service at Mumbai Tandoor.

Came with family as a party of 6 late on a friday night, service was prompt, good presentation and atmosphere, and the food was fantastic. Shared orders of lamn kabab and tandoori chicken, and rice served with dal turka, navaratan kurma, and mattar paneer. Had vegetable appetizer samplers: samosa, pakoras and hari bari tikki. Great stuff, I prefer spicy and despite being vetoed on that front by my party, everything was still very flavorful with just enough kick. Especially the dal turka, and their great mint and green chili sauce helped do work in the heat department. Didnt know the kurma and paneer were similar, both were great, but wouldve gone with some other dish in place of one or the other, had we known. Anyway, definitely coming back here for the rest of the menu.

Our sons treated us on our marriage annuversary. Best place ever. The host/ owner Shantanu treated us as family. We started out with Keema Samosa & Vegegeraian fry Sampler. Papaad is also served. Dinner was Lamb Rogan Josh, Shrimp Vundaloo, Jeers Rice Naan. He brought us Sindhi Curry to try. The accompanying chutneys were finger licking good. I wish my stomach had room ..everything was too delicious. So we took home food. He then gave us indian rice pudding As a gift.. As you can see our experience was heightened by this gentle host ..who will see us often. Now he may not be able to give personal attention when it is a very busy night. We went on a weeknight & we were happy Swapna-Di to Shantanu Mrs.B

The WORST service ever in my entire life. We arrived at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. 3 adults and a baby. There were 3 tables. 2 with entrees, the other finished with their meal. The gentleman who sat us, cut us off half way through the order, saying lets get the appetizers in. It took over an HOUR for that to be served. We had during that wait period, asked for our drinks TWICE. It then took over 22 minutes to be served the entrees. We had to ask for more rice, had to ask for naan. The food was so bland when we ordered the level 3 out of 4 spicy. They were faster with the check then any help throughout the meal.. DONT waste your, time, money or offend your tastebuds.

Terrible . Please note all the reviews below are written within one week or less . Which makes me think they may not be true . The chicken was very old a day or two old . The chicken was heated with onion to make look fresh . The owner said on the phone that they have lavish buffet and that is not true at all . He had less items than any other buffet I have been to . I asked him where is the lavish food ? Old food from the day before is lavish ? Does he think people are stupid ? Waste of time , health and money . He gets 5 stars for lying .

Looking at all the negative reviews, I decided to speak my own experience! I have been at this location for 7 years. The best food was when it was called peacock. It wasnt too great for the past couple years. The reason is because B.K left , then now came back better than ever. He makes sure everything is prepared and made properly. He makes the restraunt yours. He teaks every detail to make it perfect just for you. Best Indian food in the nation!

My husband and I went there for a post-Valentines Day date. We loved it. The service was awesome the owner was great and so was our server. The food was also delicious especially the garlic Tandoor appetizer. We also really liked our main dish we did ask it to be spicy medium spice but it wasnt very spicy at all so if youre wanting wanting a dish to be somewhat spicy make sure you make that clear to the server. I would definitely recommend it!

We love this place. Their food is fresh and doesnt give you that heavy feeling that some Indian restaurants do. The buffet is a great value. They bring fresh tandoori chicken and warm bread to every table in addition to the wonderful food at the buffet. The staff is always friendly and readily available. We have been to other Indian restaurants in the area and mumbai tandoori is the only one I would recommend. Make sure to try this one.

Fantastic. If I could rate higher, I would. Service, food, atmosphere were perfect. I was there for dinner with some pros who knew what to order and that helped. We had chicken, lamb, and three separate vegetable dishes along with appetizers for a part of 6 and we ate every bite. It is well priced and meant to be a meal you share and sample. I hear they have a great lunch buffet so I will be back in for that!

Ive been coming to this place continuously for about two years. Jay and BK are very friendly and are always courteous. Mumbai Tandoor has something that anyone will enjoy, whether youre a meat eater, pescatarian or vegan. Some of my favorite dishes are the malai kofta, butter chicken, tandoori shrimp and saag paneer. Oh and be sure to try the vegetable samosas, you can thank me later.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. As a Brit who has eaten at many Indian restaurants, I have found it difficult to find places that live up to the Indian food back home. But, Mumbai Tandoor had amazing service and I have never been let down by their food. B.k. and Jay are always very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Chicken Kurma and their vegetable samosas!

Great service, ambiance, and very tasty food. I read a comment that it is bland and disagree. I found every dish to be very savory (more so than other Indian restaurants in the area). However, dishes were not very spicy...But perhaps targeted to the average palate. All-in-all, the tandoori chicken and butter chicken were excellent. Great Samosas and Goat curry.

Tonight was our first time here and we cant wait to come back! The chai was eh. Butter chicken and tikka masala were really good. Lamb samosas were pretty good too. Garlic naan is very good! Hubby tried the pistachio ice cream but it was weird. Not bad but different, theres fennel and cardamom in it. Definitely would recommend, service is great very friendly.

We were in the neighborhood looking for some place to eat. I saw this place and said, "Why not?" We were seriously impressed. The owner, BK, asked is questions and made recommendations. Were had Murg Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry. They were both great! Served with fine rice with cumin seeds and nana bread, everything was great! Well be back for sure!
