The value here is ridiculous. Most of the 1 star reviews are oddly over-critical (manager aside), I am not sure what to think of that - the place isnt perfect, but for the price point it cant be beat. Ive tried other Indian options in the West Burbs, this is definitely the best buffet out here. For more gourmet, menu-based dining there are better options sure, but a cheap buffet to gorge yourself on? Heres your place! The selection is fairly standard, and the spicing on each dish is just perfectly rich and full, with each having its own unique flavor and intensity. The dishes are generally not very spicy hot either, just a notch, so no worries there. For a buffet meal, you get a hot-iron plate of chicken tikka with veggies, plus a bounty of naan, and all the buffet you can eat. The tikka is great, though I rarely eat it all as Im all about that buffet. The naan is just right every time - not too crispy, but with a hint of crisp, but very fluffy and thick as well, and just a perfectly executed gentle flavor. The dessert rice balls in honey are to die for. I cant stop eating them. There are some downsides, but for the price point I think theyre overstated by others here - this isnt Tru or even Claras, its a buffet... The decor is just dated and the place is definitely not recently renovated. Most of the furniture and such look fairly old, though the chairs are still comfortable enough. Frankly, it gives the place a bit more of an authentic vibe, so I dont mind, especially since they fixed the bad light flickering. The service is mixed. The primary waiter is such a nice man, who is 90% of your interaction, but the management can be a bit less calm to put it mildly. Other, Im guessing family members, staff are more neutral. Again, its a buffet, so generally you dont go for the service but to stuff your face with great food, and thats exactly what you get here. So despite some shortcomings, I just cant get over the ridiculously good food and amazing value.

This is our favorite Indian buffet. We go pretty regularly for both lunch and dinner. The decor is dated, but the staff is very friendly, and helpful. The owner and wait staff remember us, and know to bring non-buttered naan for my daughter with a dairy allergy. The buffet always has two meat dishes -- usually goat and chicken. There is usually a chicken biyrani, as well as samosas, basmati rice with vegetables, channa masala, several vegetarian dishes, a couple of deserts, and chutneys. Fresh buttered naan - with or without garlic - and tandoori chicken are brought to your table. Sher A Punjab has a tandoor oven visible from the dining area. It is pretty neat to watch them when they are making fresh naan. We particularly like the channa masala, cabbage and potatoes, and the saag (a spinach dish). The buffet is very reasonably priced at about $9 for lunch, and about $11 for dinner. They also have a full menu, should you wish to for go the buffet. Take out is available.

My parents introduced me to this place in 1992; I was less than a year old. The decor, music, food, and tandoor was foreign to me, and much to my parents chagrin, Id start dancing to the music. Fast-forward to 2013-beyond, the owner remains the same as does the food quality and ambience. My experience is in ingrained and part of exposure via parental upbringing, but the naan and tandoori chicken (included in the buffet) are the best in the western Chicagoland area. I have not been disappointed by anything from this suburban establishment within the past 23 years, aside from the variety of buffet dishes available during hours. Theyve omitted saag paneer at times, and then replaced curry chicken with butter chicken at other times, I prefer the first selections. Aside from that, this is one of the best suburban restaurants, and a true suburban-Chicagoland staple of Anglo-Indian cuisine.

As someone who has recently started eating and enjoying Indian food I decided to take my family to a local spot. I was hoping for a authentic and tasty first taste for them. Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience for any of us. We got there for a slightly later lunch and walked into a large room with one waiter. The place was not the most appealing looking and only had buffet service with a pretty limited selection. Chicken and Goat curry were the two main entrees. Both were 90 percent bones. The rest of the options were equally disappointing both in taste and looks. Even after trying everything I left disappointed and unsatisfied. This is not a place to go unless youre interested in really cheap food, although even then I could think of many better options nearby.

Not the fanciest place around but still awesome and a safe goto food place. The buffet is simple but filling, with many meat choices. They of course bring you free fresh naan during the buffet and a large plate of hot chicken. The price isnt bad. I know this area well and everyone has their own opinion for favorite place, but this is one of mine. The décor is old school 80s looking but that doesnt take away from the food or friendly atmosphere at all.

Located at 63rd Street and Belmont Road in Downers Grove, this restaurant serves out a decent menu. My favorites are the appetizers, biryanis, naans and some of the sides. The buffet is not all that appealing to us; ordering off the menu is our preference. The restaurant is conveniently located with ample parking, a huge Indian grocery store right next door and is equipped with a very nice party hall.

Had a horrible experience here. We went to have dinner. I took a small bowl to keep sabji and the owner came told me that I CANT use small bowl as they are only for Dessert . HE SHOWED ME WRITTEN SIGN WHICH SAYS THAT AS WELL . Now who does that? POOR SERVICE WITH ATTITUDE. Dont waste your money here . They have SAME MENU every time you go.I wish I could give them minus.

Love it, buffet is usually the same variety but its great to get heaps of indian food on your plate for around ten bucks. Theyll bring you out some delicious chicken if you ask, and as much naan as you can stuff yourself with. Great value, servers are polite and friendly. Setting and decorations are a little cheap, but this aint the ritz, its an Indian buffet.

Not the best buffet but not bad. I went for dinner buffet, was $10.95. Lamb and chicken dishes for meat lovers. You have to ask for Naan and grilled chicken. Dessert was arite as well. Cant go wrong with Gluab jaman ! Ambience, environment and staff, not the best but I aint complaining for the price I paid. Go here only if nothing else.

Food poisoning To Go. I have gone to plenty of Indian restaurants in the area, but eating a dinner buffet at this Pakistani restaurant gave me a nasty case of food poisoning. Also, their food was way too spicy to eat. The lamb was uncooked and mostly just bone. Go here if you dont mind loose motions. I am never going back.

I have been coming here for years. Love the food. Now that i have moved away from town I always make sure to visit whenever I come to town. Always polite and at a great price. Planning on heading in tonight with some old friends. The only downside is that I always have to be rolled out, but that is my fault no theirs.
