Is it better to have no curry or bad curry? Thats the question I left with. I think the disappointment of bad curry is too much for me and I would have rather not had any at all. The decor is fine, fairly typical Indian restaurant, and I had high hopes, but when i saw the buffet I was disappointed immediately. There were not a lot of options, but they did include some standard items like samosa, pakora, butter chicken, saag paneer, etc. I tried most of them and enjoyed none of them. The samosa was okay, but very salty with very mild flavors. The pakora was mostly batter. The saag paneer was fine I suppose, but again so bland that there isnt much to say about it. The spiciest dish was the butter chicken, which is a good indicator of how bland the rest was. The naan brought to the table was so steeped in butter and garlic it was almost soggy. I was very disappointed at the lack of gulab jamun. The best part of the meal, and the only one I really liked, was the rice pudding. I was also s but horrified to walk past the fridge in the hallway to the bathroom. It had various curries stored in open plastic buckets that had the appearance of having been there some time. Clearly the buffet curries are not served fresh, and if theyre coming out of these buckets I would have my doubts about the food safety standards. I will not go again.

My boyfriend and I are new to the area and decided to stop in for dinner on a Sunday night. The ambiance was nice, nothing too fancy but there were little things that made me take note. The wait staff promptly seated us and brought us our crisps and chutneys as well as glasses of water. The server was sure not to touch the pitcher of water to the rim of the glass when pouring which I always notice. Additionally, a party of about 12 was seated just before us and our server made sure that we were ready to put our order in before theirs so that we would receive our dinner in a timely manner. The menu is very reasonably priced with great variety. Items included classics (daal, vindaloo, tandoori items and plenty of naan choices) plus Indo-Chinese items. Between the two of us, we split an order of veggie samosas, chicken soup, chicken vindaloo and lamb stuffed naan with waters to drink. As customers who enjoy food much spicier than most, we were pleased to find that they make each individuals order as spicy as they prefer. Typically when we ask for our food "very hot" we are not taken seriously. They were not afraid to bring the heat; our food was perfectly spicy! After tip, we spent less than $40. Overall, great food, great staff and an all-around great experience. Cant wait to try their lunch buffet!

Worst Customer Service experience I had with Indian restaurants. I have been to many across different states but absolutely bad attitude. Food was ok in Taste. Not value for the price. Buffet Lunch has very less varieties and kids even 1 year old is charged. Their line "if the kid he/she takes 1 bite or 10 we will charge". They charge 7.99$ for kids. At first he had problem with 5 family of 20 people stopping by without reservation. We did not understand what the issue was since the place was pretty empty and it was never was even half full with all of us. He was even rude when we wanted to shift a table as the 4 tables given for 5 family was very congested. He was really rude The worst part was when one of us asked for ice, his immediate response was "we dont Serve ice for Indians" I would not recommend anyone atleast with family for a nice lunch or dinner time. I am surprised how the hotel is being rate 4 here.. You could consistently see in the few negative ratings on the attitude of the staff/owner.. I seriously doubt the over rating of this restaurant which deceived even us.

This hotel is a nightmare. The owner of the hotel have no courtesy. He wont let us look at the menu card. He keep on asking me to order fast. I ordered naan and Briyani. I got an uncooked naan and almost a plain rice mixed with a few half boiled vegitable and a bland mix of Briyani flavor. I told one of the waiter that the naan is uncooked. He seems not to understand a word and didnt bother to respond. I kept insisting for a cooked naan. The owner immediately jumped in and said they will do nothing about leaving us to throw away the food. He charged $40 for the worst food they serve and on top, he charges 18% mandatory gratuity. I argued with in vain for nothing. This place is a piece of crap selling uncooked food and showing goon behavior to customers. There are plenty of other good restaurants nearby. Please do not go this restaurant at all.

Went here last night and enjoyed the food. Problem was the service. Waitress came to the table and said "are you ready? Took our order, and it was the last time we saw her. Food was delivered by someone else, she never asked if we would like a beverage, no one asked how our dinner was. We eventually asked for our check and to go containers. Some guy just threw the containers on the table. We then asked for a bag. Never got one. The staff was very disorganized, and distant to the customers. Odd behavior to say the least. Too bad, because the food was very good. If we ever decide to order again, it will be take out. I hope the owner takes note.........staff meeting to get their act together, or fire them all and start over. :)

I have been to almost every Indian restaurant in Chicago area. We stopped by this place on our trip to Indiana dunes last weekend. They had just reopened after a fire incident, didnt know about this place prior to that. This is by far the most authentic and tasty Punjabi food (Punjab is a state in Northen India) I have ever eaten. I am a vegetarian, so my review is for the vegetarian dishes. All curries were a perfect blend of favors, not too spicy or oily. I had Matar Paneer, Dal Makhani, Aloo Gobi and Naan. Yummy! We also ordered Lassi (a mild sweet drink made with Yogurt) to go, for sipping by the beach in the warm sun. Made my day! Will definitely come back when in the vicinity.

I wanted to try something different for lunch with my sister and daughter so we stopped by this restaurant. It was a Monday lunch buffet for $10. I expected a lot more choices of food than the five awful ones that were available. It looked like a kitchen table set up for a small family dinner. Everything looked like it was reheated leftovers from days over.(I wanted TV Chef Ramsey to come and show us what was really going on in that awful kitchen). The taste was bland for most of the choices, even on the so called dessert and salad table. However the bread, soup, and rice was edible. The service was really nice as if to cover up for the garbage they were going to serve.

The dining experience was very interesting. The owner walked around greeting all the customers giving information about the food and recommending wines that compliment foods. He did this to every single table except ours. But he was kind enough to walk by and mutter something I thought was a suggestion to use a certain sauce with a particular food. He never actually looked at us or stopped walking. I have enjoyed Indian cuisine for more than 15 years so this was peculiar. Did I mention my party guess and myself were the only minorities in the restaurant? Lol. Sorry no recommendation from me, well at least not to my minority friends....lol.
