My wife and I love Bulgarian food and this is the perfect place. We loved going to Bulgaria and the cuisine and every time we go to Cafe Mirage, it is like being back in a cafe in Bulgaria. The food is outstanding and the service is great. We love the fact that the servers have the same culture as that in Bulgaria and dont bother you every 2 minutes with questions (how is your food, do you need something, etc.). They are very attentive and getting service is as simple as making eye contact and they are right over. The other plus is, just like in Bulgaria, they dont bring you the check unless you ask and you are welcome to stay, socialize, and partake of food and drink, as long as you want. We have also been to the club accross the parking lot and attended wonderful Bulgarian concerts with Bulgarian Pop Stars, such as Kamelia, etc. We go here several times a year and will be here again this weekend for our Anniversary!

Wonderful food at a great price! My wife and I were in town for a seminar and cafe mirage was very close to the hotel. The wife googled for places that were close and it came up. We decided to give it a try. I called ahead and got a table for two with no hassle and friendly service. When we got there we were greated by happy, and beautiful waitresses. They explained the menu and suggested options for us to eat. She made subs to the order with no problem or trouble. The food was amazing! There was more than we both could eat and we left with quite a lot in a take away box. I would eat hear again with no question if I were to come to the area again.

We stumbled upon this charming place very late in the evening by chance and were very happy we did! The waitress was very sweet, and the food was outstanding. It was quite a treat to find good and unusual food choices. The extensive menu made it hard to choose, but our waitress made an excellent suggestion with the skinless sausage and meatloaf filled with cheese. We sat outside under a lighted palm tree. It is on a landing path to OHare so you got to see the underbelly of jets as they land periodically, which added to the "city" ambiance, It was a wonderful Chicago experience. I recommend it for out of towners!

Wonderful place with nice patio, but that it! Our server doesnt know enough English and Bulgarian also. So it was an adventure to explain her what we actually would like to order. Every 2 min. Incredible noise from take off planes from OHara airport. I order Caprese salad but I get one similar to green salad with yogurt and some tomatoes. When I ask about this our server she told thats the only salad called Caprese they ever have. We order some meat on a skewers, it was fresh but not tasty due to lack of all kind of seasoning. Im disappointed- good place , bad management!

I want to share his opinion of visits fidentiality my coffee Mirage- brought me a plate of salad in terrible form - at least 10 had greasy finger along the edge of the plate, these iron masses are in a terrible kind -no cleaned do not know when, what my menu given - terribly dirty circles in unsightly appearance, and now for food, mince terrible steaks crushed .... I am disappointed by this visit ... . This is a great place and if you work hard bit will be gorgeous place to visit! !

Waitress was inexperienced, I think they should be trained before serving people. I ordered grilled trout, but it tasted like steamed fish ( by the way not tasty at all), mashed potato was made from POWDER! Yes! I am sure it is not real potatoes! Calamari was really good. I think you should improve your service, and I think waitress should not smoke cigarettes near clients! It is UNPROFESSIONAL

I was at Cafe Mirage this past weekend. Very good atmosphere, especially if you sit outside. They have the artificial palm trees and the lighting which gives a good look. They have redone the insides and they look lot better too. The waitress was great; our food was good too. One thing I would change about the place is when I order fries, I would like to see them served hot.

A year ago this used to be my fav place to eat and enjoy the nice weather. Now the food is gross. Greek salad and tzatziki salad are the worst. Shrimp is disgusting as well. Mekici dont taste like real mekici anymore. The only good thing is the bread and ice mocha. Most female servers are very rude and dont even speak english. Sorry but this is not the same cafe mirage

They dont accept credit cards if the bill is under 10$. The funniest part is, that the ATM inside doesnt work :) is out of money as one of the employee explained me. Being trapped in these circumstances I was forced to order food for to go in order to get out of this trouble. The coffee was good. The inside couches comfortable as well. Relaxing atmosphere.

It is OK. It is good in the summer where you can seat outside and injoy when there is some nice weather. Here comes the big disappointment with the metal chears. Sonner or later your but will start hurting. The other thing is that prices went way up. Over all, it is a great place to stop by and have a nice beer with french fries.

This is my favorite place!!! Beautiful athmoshere, very friendly and professional staff!!! Their food is outstanding , the new manu has a big variety of delicious dishes for every taste!!! They have DJ every Saturday night!!! Great place to enjoy your time with friends!!!

Very cosy and warm ambient! Friendly service, tasty food (specially Tuna steak or Salmon) and greatest patio in Chicago. Also, smokers are very grateful because they can peacefully light a cigarette while they drink or after a meal in a beautiful garden.

Great outside siting, but its to noise because airport is near and you barely can speak with your friends. Food is not good and stuff is slow. I waited for my crapes almost an hour and they didnt put all ingredients I asked for. I expected more!!!

Nice setting, food and staff but the airplanes landing at Ohare fly low and directly over your head and make having a pleasant conversation with friends very challenging. The new management has definitely improved the place.

Service was slow never came back to table to see if we needed anything else. Server was in video games. Menu had no variety. Food took over 45minutes to get. Bathroom was out of service. Will never recommended to anyone

One and half star and no more thats what it deserves. Please save your money and dont be fooled. Airport noise is unbearable. Food is not good, no matter how many times they update their menu. Stick with what you know.

Very very bad service, u have to wait for a server over 30 min and if u order food is going to come after 1 hour, dont mention the rumors from cars, and airplanes, and the waitresses they are rude

I was shocked... Reviews, locale, decor all screamed that this place was great but my experience was a sham. I never review restaurants but I was incredibly disappointed with this "cafe".
