I come to this location quite often. There really isnt much else you can say about the coffee. Its just that good. The best. The people at this location are very nice. Some of them have even remembered my first name, which says a lot considering the amount of customers that they see on the daily, and I do not go there everyday. The food, like other Colectivos, is pretty good. Its more food you get in a quick fix, a bind, or when you are low on time. The portions arent always generous, but the ingredients are supposedly high quality. (Organic, local, etc) The oatmeal for breakfast is seriously amazing, even though it has a high price tag. ($5)

I go to UWM and finding a relaxing atmosphere and a productive stimulating spot to study was not easy. So when I realized this Colectivo was just blocks from me, I had to try it out for a while. Everytime I go, the baristas and cooks and the whole staff are ALWAYS friendly and when it gets busy (oh it gets really busy) they do a phenomenal job catering to the customers and making sure things run smoothly. I come here on a basis now to study and/or relax with their caramel latte but love to change it up with other yummy drinks of theirs as well. P.S The coffee is always amazing and the falafel burger is A-1.

Very good pour-over coffee, tea, and cafe style food options like the chorizo breakfast burrito. Also one of the best Colectivo locations due to the outdoor/indoor room that is quieter than many of the other Colectivo locations because of the lack of music and separation from the main room. Coffee rotations are frequent and the specialty coffees can be quite interesting. If you buy Colectivo beans, Id recommend getting them here due to the high turnover (freshness) of the bags here. Do take care, the baristas here are good and friendlier than other locations, but can sometimes slip-up and lose your order.

My wife and I frequently drop by here on our own or together. The drinks are obviously great, but the seating is also a fun aspect of visiting - during the summers, they open the garage door and it feels like covered outdoor seating. I especially like the bacon biscuit, as well as the potato bacon burrito from their all-day breakfast items. Pretty quiet atmosphere, usually a bit crowded. Staff is attentive and eager to please. Great Colectivo location.

I go to this coffee shop several times a week when I am working in the area. The espresso is always fine and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their beans are simply the freshest in Milwaukee. There are competitors in Milwaukee. Their competitors lack the high level of consistency and attention to detail that Colectivo has been producing for over a decade.

Was very excited to visit this location... however that quickly diminished! Very poor service and food never made after 15 mins of waiting! Assured it would be ready, as I continued to wait noticed preparers of the food not using gloves or washing any of their hands! I quickly asked for a refund and exited the premesis, with no intentions of returning ever.

Great place for getting work done or just having a cup of coffee while reading or listening to music. Its never too loud, the employees are friendly, the food and drinks are great, and its easy to spend/waste a whole day there. Also, if youre into working late, its one of the only two in the area that are open till 10.

The staff is pretty cool, but they have refused to leave the sour cream off of the white bean chili multiple times, saying it comes on it premade. Thats a lie. The sour cream is cold and the soup is warm, plus, any other colectivo location will leave it off for me. This location has a great performance space though.

Alterra are some of the best shops Ive been to. The Prospect location has awesome atrium-esque ambiance, great people-watching, and plenty of spots to set down the laptop or a book and dig in for a while. The Lakefront Alterra is a must-visit, but when I ambled up here I started to feel like a true "local"...

I was just SO worried when it said that Alterra Coffee Roasters was CLOSED!!!!! But thankfully it is now Colectivo Coffee Roasters! Whew crisis averted! Great Coffee, Great Food, Great People & a Great Space! And PLUGS for all the needed 21st. century devices - what else can you ask for?

If you order something and they say they will bring it out to you.... Make sure you check for it. Happened to me two different occasions/visits, said theyd bring it and they didnt. Clean, friendly, product is good. Has free WiFi, nice customers to sit next to.

This is probably one of the most interesting spaces Ive seen for a cafe, which takes the coffee-consuming experience up a notch. I wish we had more places like this in Chicago, but maybe that would be too expensive. Way to go, Milwaukee.

So glad that they have branded the "Colectivo Back Room" as a concert venue now. Really fills the need for an intimate quiet seated venue on the east side, and was a great use for the former coffee roasting area.
