The food is not great. Whatever not sold in their Grocerty Store, those items are buffet. Spoiling Vegetables in Grocerty store are vegetables to cook. Monopoloy...NO Compromise in the Price. Owner/Owife acts like helping but in reality you end up with sky high prices. At the end if you go home you get sick and need to see doctor. The Food makers are spanish. To protect them selves from DOL, mexicans start working from early morning 2 AM. And stop working by morning 6. If you wanted to experiment with your health, and also to make a hole in your pocket, you should definitely worth seeing this place. If owner is calm/silent, then this store make money. As long as he do over build up like earlier owner Bhima. Some times we feel bheema much better chatter box thant this guy. Feel sad about motorola employees, since they dont have any other choice. Mango pickle 2 pieces inside 6 dollars. If you want to cross check and go there and ask for Mango Pickle.

We went for their sunday evening buffet. A warm welcome started our many course meal at Vishnu Vilas. The dinner spread was plentiful, with a great mix of North and South Indian food. The vadas were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and was very well complimented by the hot-spicy authentic sambhar. The chicken pakoda starter was really good and reminded me of the sholay-kabab from Nagarjuna in Bangalore. Every single item that we tried was excellent, from Idli, Channa-Bhatura, Upma, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Biryani, Uthapam, Rasam even the raitha and the salad. They have a huge assortment of chutneys to go with their dosas and idli. All this for just $10, an excellent deal. This place will give all those crappy-so-called Indian food joints on Devon a run for their money. I will definitely go back there again. Folks at Vishnu, great job!

Tonight went for Sunday Dinner Buffet (25 miles away) to enjoy the food . Worst Indian Food I ever ate and Waste of Money. Avoid it and I would never suggest to anybody. Non-Veg is half cooked and smelling Raw. Chicken Curry is made of Fish Masala instead of Chicken Masala. Mutton Biryani is made of normal rice smashed and Mutton is sort of smashed and looked soiled. Chicken 65 is smelling raw after first bite. Veg items only Dal/salty Potato curry/cauliflower curry/Sambar/Rasam, Looks decent. Snacks like Vada(average), chole batura(average), Pav Bhaji(Worst)... and No proper Deserts. Only Dosas are good and fresh. only sunday dinner special. Finally bill... 2-4 yrs --$3.99 4-7 yrs -- $7.99 7 yrs + -- $12.99 Full price ... Did you guys ever saw this break up any where ... ?? Total Rip off ... Save time, Money and Finally Much important Health.

I went to Vishnu Vilas with a bit of hesitation -- not a popular hotel chain, not even a familiar name. But my experience proved it was unfounded. The appearance of the hotel was good. Tables (and the floor) were clean. I went for the lunch buffet (on a Monday). Before I even started, a dosa and a basket of naan were served hot and fresh. The buffet had Sambar, Rasam, Baingan Bartha (Eggplant), Cabbage, Tomato dal, Chicken 65, Chicken Biryani, Goat Curry, Appetizers: Medu vadai, Paruppu vadai, bajji. The tomato dal was very delicious. The sambar was good, but was not as spicy as Id have liked. Rasam was ok. Desserts were: Mango salad and gulab jamun. A cup of masala chai (tea) was a delicious treat to wash down the spices. Overall I enjoyed the lunch.

The food is absolutely fabulous and the decor is basic in an unassuming strip mall. Friday and weekend buffets are our favorites with a wider selection of dishes. On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the buffet is cheaper. They are closed on Tuesday. Be forewarned that some of the dishes can be very spicy and strongly flavored for Western palettes. Their vegetarian dishes are a real strength. Also the chicken curry and the lamb biryani are delicious. The marsala tea is some of the best. The staff is very friendly, sometimes walking about offering complimentary dessert. If you enjoy the Indian food at well-known places and want to take your taste buds up to the next level. then this is an inexpensive place for you to try a variety of dishes at the buffet.

We have ordered a food from this place, first of all the service from these people are very bad, they dont even know how to behave with customers. They gave all the boxes with out proper wrapping for liquid food which causes full spill on your car while taking. i know other restaurants will pack the liquid food properly before they hand over to any one. They dont even help you to move into your Car if you order for 50 people. Chapathi was really bad need 2 hard hands to take a slice of chapathi, Brinjal Curry not at all cooked, we orderded Chicken curry and it smells like fish curry and that to more salt in that, Gulab Jamun is hard to byte. imagize how badly they spoiled the food. which spoiled my event every one is upset due to the food quality.

I took a family who were visiting from another state. We all were impressed by the Buffet due to the unique style of display and the spicy nature unlike other Indian restaurants. The next week, I took a friend of mine for ala carte and ordered idli wada and masala dosa. Idli was definitely microwaved from the fridge but masala dosa was fresh though it did not stand out in its taste. My son had to go to the washroom and that ruined the whole thing. The "whatever" manner the washroom was maintained gave us a sense of the owners cleanliness and we somehow managed to get out of there. Their price speaks about quality and I was willing to pay that price but washroom standards and re-heated idli killed it. I WILL NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.

We went to this restaraunt on weekday and they called it as DOSA special day. First of all if you want to eat stale food and food with hair this is the best place. We had very bad experiences with Buffets at other restaraunts too and this one adds to the same list. We were so hungry that evening and we went there and found that they serve Buffet for dinner too. Dosa was below average and rest of the food was stale and idli had a Hair on it. Bathrooms are filthy and the floors are also. I wouldnt recommend to anyone to eat here. Other bad thing is they charge for kids too. My 3 yr old daughter didnt even touch the food and they charged for her too. We couldnt eat anything and let the place. Total waste of money.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have been to...The vegetarian dishes were not cooked well and the gravy was so watery we could pick the vegetables. We had visited with our friends on a weekday and were charged weekend rate because they said it was a special buffet that day (should have informed us before)...and the service was also very mediocre. On top of everything they charged us 15% gratuity (all for helping ourselves....just met the restaurant guy when he came with the bill and for paying). Everybody had an upset stomach as well. Will surely avoid this place in future and I do not recommend this place to anybody. There are much better place here which are not as expensive and good to the stomach...

Stay away! Went for the dinner buffet as a party of 5 (4 adults and a kid) and came away disappointed and angry. What a waste of time and money. We ordered a variety of dosas for our party and they all arrived cold (not even lukewarm), piled on top of another looking the same. Upon asking why, we were told to work it out ourselves. Food quality sub-par. Ambience is straight out of a noir movie, flickering lights and all. Less said about the disgusting restroom, the better. Wonder how it passes city inspection. To top it all, was charged a 15% service charge for our party, even though its not prominently mentioned. Will NOT recommend.
