Its gonna be a long post. So here it goes. I was driving all the way for 6 hours before reaching my hotel in Schaumburg along with family. Since i was already tired of driving and i thought of having good food and went to this restaurant (again drove for 5 miles at around 9:30 PM) and ordered 2 **VEG ** biryanis for carry out. Wanted to eat it peacefully, so, took it back to my hotel. As soon as i opened a box there was a chicken piece in it. We are strictly vegetarians and it was very disappointing to see that. Called the restaurant letting them know that we are strictly vegetarians and got a chicken biryani. And person on the call started laughing saying hopefully you did not eat it. I was very agitated, still controlled my nerves and asked them to drop another box of biryani at my hotel, he simply denied and asked me to come to Bawarchi in next 5 minutes to get it. Then i got pissed off and toldem i can sue them trying to violet my religion then the guy in front calmed down and mentioned that he doesnt have any drivers and requested my to come down and he was ready to wait for 30 more minutes. As soon as i reached back he offered me some complimentary food too, which i denied but he forced me to have it. Just took my biryani and complimentary drink and reached hotel back. Very disappointing, i can understand mistakes happen but the person who laughed on phone, pissed me off ... wont recommend at all...

I placed a catering order for a birthday party recently with Bawarchi. These guys do not know how to estimate and the food that they delivered is not sufficient even for 60% of what had been ordered. I call this cheating and they just dont know to handle party orders. Tried reaching them to give my feedback and they said they will check with their chef and get back. But they never got back to me. If anyone is looking at placing catering orders with these guys please think twice. They can not handle big orders and cheat us on quantity of food. They gave 1 tray of appetizers for a 100 member order. when we started party appetizers got over after 45 people and rest of guests had to adjust with no appetizers. They delivered 2 trays of Biriyani by claiming each tray should be sufficient for 60 people which is ridiculous estimate. One of the trays has literally 4 chicken pieces and most of my guests had to adjust with just rice. Please avoid these guys if you dont want to disappoint your guests.

Today I ordered Veg Dhum Briyani "To Go". I have habit of mentioning make it "Spicy" every time I order a Briyani. None of the briyani shop in and around Schaumburg know the meaning of spicy. what ever you say the Briyani will be blend, but Bawarchi MADE MY DAY. I got what i asked for "The spicy" Briyani :-), They even have classification "less,medium,spicy and extra spicy" . If you are a spice lover and want to try out different Briyani the Bawarchi will be the rite place and extra spicy will be the rite choice :-) Priya and cool mirchi are other two places where you get some good Briyani but I liked Bawarchi more than this two.

Today i went to this location to get some biryani , i ordered chicken biryani and goat biryani to go, when i was ordering the food i asked him not to give me frozen biryani but to my surprise when i came home to eat the biryani i can easily tell that it is not fresh biryani taste was awful it taste like biryani but tastes like clove rice with mint in it and coming to the price i could have got much better food for the price i paid. wont suggest or even wont visit again. regretting wasted $42.00 for 3 biryanis whith much better quality i would have got them for under 20.00.

Disregard any high ratings you may see on yelp or any website. Ive given this place a few chances, it has been a disappointment each time unfortunately. Bad customer service to stale food to bad tasting food (definitely not cooked right or being recooked or serving spoiled food). Once they kept my change as if they did nothing wrong, as if It was a tip. A friend has had same thing happen to him, they tried keeping the change and the guy at cash register will walk away into the kitchen before you can say anything. Slick.

Most horrible experience!! The guy who took the order claims of having 10 pieces of chicken in the Biryani and ended up having 5 pieces and I called up to clarify the same, the manager says I shud have had 10-12 pieces and he will make it good next time. But I already paid for my family pack, these guys take u for granted. Recommend checking ur count of pieces every time. It doesnt matter the Biryani is bad with taste and I am a Hyderabadi and I know how my Biryani shud taste. Trust me this is not a place to be!!!!

They have the best veg dumb biryani and the fried onions on top of it all make you want to just gobble up the whole thing. It is nice and spicy if you like the Indian spicy food. One plate is good enough for 2 people. Price is reasonable. The only downside is they dont accept cards below $15 order, and I always order only the veg dum biryani which costs around $10 (with taxes) and I dont like to carry cash. I always struggle to get cash in the world of plastic money, but I did it only for this dish.

Horrible food. Ok service. Our food was cold. We even sent biryani back because it was lukewarm ...they didnt even try to take it off the check. Chicken biryani was also cool. Chicken Tikka barely had any chicken piece in there. Paneer dishes were ok. I would have given it zero but I dont have the option Restaurant should know to not offer people to reheat their dishes, especially when one is spending any where between 20 to 30 bucks per person. This place pisses me off ...never again

I admit Bawarchi has good name, probaly food might be good, but the staff has to know basic hospitality like serving customers, i sat there for 10 mins waiting for someone to take order. I came out and called them, guy at counter was arrogant telling me that they dont care if i wait, i was really hungry and pissed off, used foul language. Sorry about that counter guy, but please learn some basic hospitality like serving people on time even though just one customer.

Today I went there around 9.35 pm actual close time is 10.00pm...so called manger told me only to go available....I dont mind that we order dal tadka and kofta sabji....dal tadka is WATER TADKA dal full of water dont understand why you guys did this...always comporomsing with quality. ...This is my last visit never ever will come again you guys thinking only one option in market than you making big mistake. staff ruined the business of owner...

I have to admit the Food is good. Everything else is HORRIBLE!!! 1. The manager argues with almost every customer. I asked the manager his name and who the owner was. He refused to answer both and started to curse in Tamil language. He may have not known that I understood Tamil. 2. They dont even know how to take orders. 3. If you are looking for friendly service, this is NOT the place. I recommend the owner to change the manager.
