Ordered food last night Aug 10 2016. and picked up within 15 minuets (they said it would ready in 10). Went in and they couldnt find my order, order number, phone number, name...Nothing. They actually asked me if I was sure I was at the right restaurant granted Ive ordered and picked up at this location several times. They finally said, "Sir this was already paid for and picked up"... well I didnt pay for it nor did i pick it up! They then realized that they gave my order to someone else by mistake. Lady manager called customer that picked up wrong order in front of me, apologized profusely to them for the mistake and told them she would give them a future credit, or they can keep wrong food and come in another time for right order, or bring back altogether for right order. Not sure what customer on the other end said. So here is the messed up part...she apologized profusely to them and offered so much. But when I said that they messed up my order, gave to someone else, made me wait another 15 mins to remake my order while my kids are waiting at home for dinner and I didnt even get an apology! She said...and I quote..."Wow, you are mad? But sir this happens sometimes" she offered me no credit, no discount bc of their mistake...I was offered nothing and paid full price for my order...while she offered so much to the person who got my order by mistake. I wasnt looking for free food...but an apology and maybe a small discount or free appetizers to make up for what I had to deal with...would have been nice...but nothing. Then when I said I order all the time and after today will not come back...the manager says again..."Wow, ok" and turns around and goes in the back. Needless to say, it seems they are confused on how to make things right with BOTH customers in this situation. I am very disappointed that the manager couldnt see this.

My grandson age 6 has never eaten in, always take-out! so a few weeks ago after the movies we came in to eat. Matty had never experienced what I called "friendship tea..." So I shared with him a pot of tea, before our food came. He loved pouring our tea... Needless to say, he loved the choices he picked from the vast menu. We really enjoyed ourselves. He was very much a gentleman, asking me, (his grandma-map;) (Pam being my name), if he could also serve the food from the delicious dishes brought to us. He said it was so different than the neatly packed white boxes we take home. He loved the atmosphere there, and especially the Koy fish in the large tanks... All of my family and so many friends love East China Inn food. If you have not had the pleasure of eating at one of their many restaurants, please take it from all of us, it is truelly wonderful food, and fast, efficient service. Dining in, take-out, and delivery are all available. East China Inn has a vast-variety of dishes, both spicy and regular seasoning. My family & friends & myself all have our favorite dishes... but what is fun, is to sample each others. You really do get get large portions, when you order large! *Do yourself a favor; go online and look at the mouth watering dishes. *The prices are very good. *Call, or order online, for delivery or pick-up. *Usually around 15~20 mins per order. *Make sure you are calling the correct restaurant that you need. You may ask for extra sauces, & chop sticks. You do get white rice with entrees, unless otherwise specified. Also, you can always order more vegetables in or out of sauce; (extra charge). You will not be sorry...this is a wonderful restaurant...

I am rating poor due to service.I called to request a paper menu mailed to me for future delivery. I have been to the website numerous occasions. The menu is abbreviated w/ no pics, so it is difficult to order. When I called, the lady answering the phone argued over simply mailing a menu.I was told I could get one with my first order. How was I to place an order not knowing what is on the menu.I have never placed an order.(It wasnt a question of there being any language barrier. The lady is a native of Chicagoland). She finally asked me what do I usually order?(like I am expected to have a usual order or that every Chinese restaurant has the same menu.Such a ridiculous arguement over a simple request w/ a lazy person w/ no service skills.

Rude waiter that rushed us threw ordering lunch. I asked if we could get a simple substitution for lunch and he immediately said NO!!!! then I asked for a small fried rice. Hr then again said NO!!! Only large for dine in. Then he kept snatching our menus away. I told him I wasnt done ordering. He said that we were going to get the menus dirty. I Am sorry am I 10 and dont know how to keep a plastic menu clean. They need friendly waiters if they plan on staying open much longer. Used to go here a lot years ago, but clearly things have changed. When we were done ordering he even asked us "can I go" as if to mock me. Get rid of older guy "Alan" for your lunch crowd.

We ordered our food to be delivered. Normally they have done a great job but the last few times they messed our order up ..they forgot to include their house mustard which we ordered. Come to find out that there food isnt good at all we just thought it was good with the mustard covering up the taste of it..the last time they forgot it we called them to let them know and the girl on the phone was extremely rude telling me my wife did not order it even thought I was sitting right next to her while she ordered..the girl continued to raise her voice and tell US we were wrong and there was nothing she was going to do for us. We will never order or go there ever again...

I have been going to the Batavia restaurant for years, and Ive recently moved and I now order from the North Aurora location. The food is always fantastic and Ive always been able to pickup my food within 15 minutes from ordering. Ive tried many different things off the menu and I have never been disappointed. While the online menu may not have pictures, a quick online search or browsing through the gallery section of the website should tell you everything you need to know. I hope to be a happy customer for another 10 years!

I have been going to East China Inn for over ten years and today has by far been the worst experience Ive ever had. I ordered for take out 15 minutes before I arrived and still had to wait 10 additional minutes inside. The cashier was less than helpful when I inquired about how much longer I would have to be waiting. My beef fried rice also was flavorless this time (possibly no msg?). Very unhappy with the quality that this restaurant has been providing lately. Unfortunately, it only seems to be getting worse.

A co worker of mine and I decided to order from this place for lunch. Fist of all, my co workers order was wrong after she had been on the phone explaining what she wanted for more than 30 mins. The lady was rude on the phone and once we got there the customer service was not good at all. The food was very salty and tasted old. The beef and the chicken were both just very disgusting that we couldnt keep eating it. Overall, this place sucks. Worst chinese food ever.
