Horrible service. Called ahead for my order and was told 15 minutes. Got there and my food was not ready, not only that, there were NO COOKS in the kitchen preparing food and there were other customers waiting for foodnas well. The lady behind the counter got on her cell phone to call someone and next thing I see is 2 gentlemen coming from outside into the kitchen. They stood there staring at the orders that were hanging up to be made. NEITHER of them washed their hands before handling food. And when I asked for my money back because I didnt want to wait, the lady started yelling at the cooks in her native language and came running back saying 2 minutes. I told her no, my food will not be properly cooked in 2 minutes and demanded my money back again. She was very rude about giving me back my money. I used to go here all the time when it was under different owners and NEVER had a problem. I will never go here again.

Do not order from this place! Even thou food is ok, the service is horrible, and not acceptable. I just called there, and still cant believe that they rejected delivery to my house, just because! Today according to the lady is too far!( It is exactly 10 minutes to get to my house). I would like to mention they did delivered here before. She asked me for how much I want to order, when I said I would like to order hot and sour soup, a large Mongolian Beef and a large Orange Chicken, she told me it is not enough. Minutes later( she started speaking Chinese to somebody), she asked me can I add some $$ because for both ways to my house will take 20 minutes, which is only 10 minutes away from my house. WOW!!! Oh and on the very beginning when I mentioned I want to order for delivery she was like: Delivery huh? hm..delivery..hm. Never again.

DO NOT GO HERE! Myself and three coworkers went here today for lunch, and when we got our food one by one EACH OF US found hair in our food. Not just a small piece or some that accidentally fell off of the womans shirt who brought us our food, but long bunches of black hair woven through the fried rice. I have worked in food service myself and I understand that this happens. But to all four of us in one sitting and the amount?! This should NEVER happen. The woman was not helpful about it either. We nicely told her quietly about all four and she gave one of us $3 back and that was all. Please dont go here. We did report to the Health Department.

I wanted to try this place out, because the other chinese resturaunt I order from doesnt deliver. I called and told them I wanted to place an order for delivery. I was told OK, whats your number? My phone number has a 773 area code, but I live in Lake Zurich. But, as soon as she heard the area code, she said that they dont have any drivers. I told her that I live in Lake Zurich, and close to the location. She then said that dinner starts at 7:45 (it was currently 6:15), and I could pick up the food then. Im glad I never actually ordered anything, god knows what wouldve shown up in the bag.

We have ordered from here before and NOT had an issue. However, this time we ordered online at 6pm and it said it would be done by 6:55. We received a call at 6:45 saying 40 MORE minutes. Then she wanted us to come PICK it up. If they give the online order as an option they need to manage it way better than that. Rude, no good phone skills, not a very serving place. We will now go back to Green Garden.

First of all, they have no idea how to run a take out restaurant......phone ringing off the hook and workers all scurring to try to fill orders.....they also forget items, so check your package before you leave. The food is worse than the last place, Kong Ming Express.....the original Kong Ming was once very good, but they even started going down hill.

The food is HOT and fast!! One of the friendliest owners Ive met! The owner is such a sweet and compassionate women, she had taken her time to stop doing what she was doing to assist an elderly gentleman to his car while holding his goodies in one hand and his arm in the other, thats going above and beyond for their guests!!

We moved to Hawthorn Woods in November and love this place. The steamed potstickers are delicious, which goes along with everything else. Good service overall, including on the phone. We will be back!

Classic Chinese takeout. On a busy day your order can take up to half an hour but the food tastes decent and theres an acceptable amount of quantity for the price.
