My boyfriend and I were mistreated poorly the minute we walked in. We were seated at a table in the far corner. Then our waitress asked us if we wanted hot or cold water. For what? I didnt voice this out loud as we were trying to be polite. Then we were pretty much ignored. At this point, we were already reconsidering our decision to come here. Then a bunch of Asian men walked in, got seated right away and their sides laid out on their table. Thats when my boyfriend finally said something. They told us that these guys had a reservation. So having a reservation is an excuse for being treated with respect? Thats when we walked out and wished them a good night. For all of you out there: LET THE BUYER BEWARE. This restaurant needs to seriously rethink its customer service if they want to keep doing business in these racially volatile times. My boyfriends black and Im Filipino. Enough said.

THEY STEAL ANYTHING YOU LEAVE BEHIND!!! A lady left her jacket at a table behind us and they took the jacket, but didnt clean the table, when the lady ran back in and searched the table and asked the people they acted like they didnt know what was going on. I wish my fiancée, who witnessed this, thought to mention this to the table before we left cause I left my new sunglasses on the table and when I came back just a few minutes after we had left, my sunglasses were gone, but our table hadnt been bussed yet. I was even able to remember exactly where I left them too. The people were of no help. It wasnt till then did he mention they did the same thing to the lady at the table behind us. The food was ok, if you like super fatty meats its the place to go, but I have a huge taste aversion to gristle and fatty textures.

Tried Koreana for the first time today for lunch. Another review had mentioned a lunch rush and specials for $5.95. The lunch specials are now $7.99 (still not a bad value for what you get) and there was plenty of seating available. The menu is limited at lunch time, only about 12 dishes, all for the same price, which come with soup and some additional appetizers such as kimchi and others that I am not well-versed enough with Korean food to identify. My family enjoyed them, though. I had the beef bulgogi, which while not being the best Ive ever had, was certainly good enough to enjoy, if a little plain. My wife loved the Bibimbap. I would definitely come here again, but not all the time.

Apparently you can only have an enjoyable experience at this restaurant if youre Asian. Me and my girlfriend went to this restaurant and were treated very coldly from the moment we entered, and to top it all off he said at our table for 5 minutes with no waitress coming to attend to us, then a group of asian men into the restaurant and were immediately see it to the table next to it and immediately served the traditional Asian BBQ side dishes... when I questioned the waitress she said that they had a reservation. Really? Reservation that includes you having side dishes sitting there waiting for them? I am immensely hurt that this is the experience that I get in America in 2016.

Im sorry that you had such a bad experience, Nasheed. I am a woman of color myself and have never encountered that problem with them. I dine there very frequently with my family. There are other great items on the menu that are under that price range depending on what youre in the mood for. During my time there, I have been greeted politely and the staff was very attentive. As you have mentioned before on your review, you were a server for many years, you should have asked to speak with the owner regarding the problems that you were having with the servers since they do not have a Manager. Give that place another try, I am sure that you will have a better experience.

As Im reading the negative reviews, I couldnt disagree with them more. When I left, I was anything but hungry. In fact, I was stuffed to the brim with the most delicious, high-quality, authentic Korean food Ive ever had. We got the dukbokki, galbitang, nakji bokkeum (my personal favorite), the pan-seared dumplings, and of course the banchan. All of it exceeded my expectations. The service was quick and to-the-point. I will definitely be going back.

Love it. As authentic as it gets. If you crave food thats honest real and authentic, this is it. The experience of good food and attentive service. When you walk into a Korean restaurant and the clientele is mostly Korean, youve hit the jackpot. Cant rave more and Ill be back when Im ready for more.

I hate this place. I went there ordered 4 galbi and they said there is no table to bbq it. I said I can wait for table clears and they said they wont have bbq table for the night. What is the reason I go bbq place id i can not have bbq? The service sucks. Beaware that you cannot have bbq in this place.

Attentive service and authentic ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, and the sauces were excellent. Additionally, the miso soup had a surprisingly rich, flavorful stock. This place does a brisk business; even on a Monday.

1) Way way way overpriced. 2) I left hungry, which is ridiculous because of the price. 3) The quality was nowhere near other Korean restaurants that Ive been to. I will never eat here again.

Food is ok but not very good. Price is kind of expensive regarding the amount served and the service is bad. Everything is so slow in this restaurant and no one refills water until we ask.

Koreana has real, authentic Korean; the prices are steep but worth it. If you like spice, and you are white, be sure to tell them because they seem to assume that white means no spice.

Bulgolgi was oilier than the Gulf coast, i dont think they use anything but sesame oil plus a little sugar for their sauce. For the price you pay, just go to Korean town in the city.

One of the best Korean restaurants in the area. The dishes are on par is restaurants in Korea and offer a good variety of dishes. The bulgogi is one of the best.
