The Koffee Kup is the last of its kind - a small, local breakfast restaurant in which you can always see your neighbors and receive good food at a low price. The service is always very friendly. The coffee is world-class. The menu covers breakfast and lunch and is quite expansive. And there is even a counter that you can sit and be served at! The interior of the restaurant is not world class...its not really even that nice...but if you can ignore that fact, Koffee Kup is a great place for breakfast. And enjoy it while you can because its probably going to be bulldozed soon so Mayor Tolomei can build some more 5-story condos that wont sell!

Prefect small town diner in the center of downtown Lake Zurich. Excellent food every time (my son says the sausage gravy and biscuits are excellent and hes an officianado this dish generally) served quickly with consistently friendly service. Highly recommend - particularly for those who love a place where the perfect American breakfast is served anytime (just wish they were open all day rather than closing at 3 pm. And, oddly, noon on Sunday). Also love that they have a counter and not just tables - great place to sit if youre by yourself.

We went to this place on a Sunday granted it was very busy and we knew this was going to be the case. We waited about 10 mins for an empty seat when the waitress pointed out our table. 10-15 minutes later we were asked to move as to make room for a larger group. It didnt seem professional for them to ask us to move like that. I imagine they have a small kitchen because it took 45 minutes to get our food. To summarize, they were very busy, they asked us to move and food took forever to get.

A good old-fashioned small-town diner. The staff have always been nice and it seems to be the place where you can enjoy good food and good company. I really loved the Eggs Benedict here. The small-town feel and the fact that you could sit at the counter was a great atmosphere to be around.

We went in there with a friend and sat down and ordered drinks. Then we were told that everyone had to order something or to get out. Dont waist your time with these jerks, boring food and nothing but bland coffee. Drive 2 seconds more down the street and go to white alps

Its really hit or miss for breakfast. If it is busy, the wait is extended 3x due to the lack of the kitchen ability to execute orders. Regardless of the wait, the food is always done well. The staff gets a 5 and are extremely friendly and helpful.
