Very, very disappointed! Not the same quality! Very small Prime Rib portions and rushed for no reason. Moved to Homer Glen in 2005. Since first dining at Bonfire we have raved about the place and made it our first choice to dine whether it was a cozy dinner for two or a family celebration. My husband and I went there on 1/26/10 at 7:15 pm. We were seated promptly and ordered our drinks and then dinner shortly afterward. Although the place was not crowded we were done with our dinner and drinks within 30 minutes; we were stunned. We felt rushed for no good reason; hardly the relaxing dining experience that we anticipated. In addition, and more surprising was that our prime rib cuts were incredibly small in comparison of portions served in the past. we were very disappointed. The food was excellent tasting but significantly less in portion size. Our waitress was wonderful, however, because the food was delivered so quickly it felt like fast food dining. We truly did not enjoy the experience as we had in the past. We stopped to talk to one of the owners (female) to express our dismay and disappointment; it seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. Her response to us was to advise the waitress when we would like to have a relaxing dinner. We think that should be expected especially when the place is not busy at all.. We are sad to say, we no longer feel that Bonfire is the #1 restaurant that we once held in high regard. We will go again in hopes that it will be a better experience, however,we will no longer recommend Bonfire.

My wife and I decided to try out Bonfire for Valentines day. Im not one into making too much on reader reviews on an individual basis, however I do like to kind of get the overall rating and this place seemed good. Im kind of torn between 2 and 3 stars (call it about a 2.5) and Ill tell you why. Atmosphere, hostess, waitress, etc were all fine. My wife ordered the Cajun shrimp with a bowl of onion soup and she loved it, said it was delicious. I on the other hand ordered the rib-eye. It comes drowned in a mushroom/cheese sauce, however I ordered without. Also ordered the double baked potato. SO to my critique. I love a good rib-eye for its tenderness, taste and marbleization. This was the lowest quality rib-eye steak Ive had from a restaurant in years. Tough, low rated full of fat and grizzle....just very disappointing. 4 stars for the setting and everything else, 0 stars for the steak......might try this place again, but will go with fish!

INCREDIBLE ! My parents were celebrating their 30th anniversary and my brother and I decided to give them a party. We chose Bonfire partly because it is their favorite place to go to. We were very happy with everything and so were our guests. Cocktails were tasty and generous I myself had their homemade sangria yumm !! I wish I had the recepie. The hostess was very helpful in keeping the element of surprise for our parents, we startred off with some appetizers mainly their combo platters. We each ordered what we wanted and couldnt have been happier with the service or our meals. I myself had the salmon which was great my husband had the pork chops my son had the pasta carbonara and my youngest had the chicken tenders from the kids menu. All our family and friends enjoyed their meals as well. I even brought in my dads favorite cake and they were gracious enoug to serve it for us. Needless to say Bonfire just became my favorite restaurant too.

We went with high expectations and were highly disappointed. We ordered the sea food platter and everything was pretty frozen and either cooked in an oven or in the microwave. Nothing from that was prepared fresh. I ordered the porterhouse and my if ordered the Surf and turf. Once again the vegetables we were served came out of a frozen bag of vegetables the mash potatoes were instant and the twice baked potato I got I could have got a any local grocery store in the frozen section. Way over priced for a bunch of food we could get for a quarter of the price at any grocery store in the frozen isle. As well as the lobster my wife ordered. How can they act like its a high class restaurant with fancy table cloths then turn around and serve a bunch of food they warm up in the over. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy

The Experience was very Good. We had steak and sea food that made me to write this review. The drinks were far from standard pour and potent. We will go back to this restaurant and in the days of "Hells Kitchen" we dont have to worry as the kitchen was spotless even during the prime time we were there. Who would have thought that a restaurant at 159th and south Bell road would deliver a Family Oak Brook Experience without the expense or head ache. I am very critical of restaurants so I dont have to go out to restaurants and pay for my family of five. I will gladly pay Bonfire for a great night out family experience again in the future.

Food is good and served well. Thats why this is even getting one star. For the price you pay the atmosphere and overall experience is poor. Booths were falling apart to where you and the person sitting behind you are wiggling the backrest back and fourth. Then your seat is lose and rocking back and fourth as well. Top it off with drunk idiots behind you at 1900 on a Sunday that want to do nothing but be loud and drink when your trying to have a nice evening. Bathroom was a Joke needing some serious updating. Place seems to be going downhill fast. Not going again....

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and the entire experience was excellent! The service was great, the food was in variety and very delicious (chicken, beef, pasta, mashed potatoes, broccoli, soup, even the bread was awesome! The elegant atmosphere complimented the meal and finished at a very affordable price. I am getting married this morning and still took time to write this review (trying to kill time, a little nervous). Overall, would recommend highly and will be returning for future parties.

Very disappointed with the meal. It seems like the place is having an identity crisis because they are a Greek restaurant, but their logo says steaks, chops, and seafood. The wifes salmon was frozen and kind of bland and my teriyaki steak had a good deal of fatty pieces in it while the rice and veggies were alright. Wait staff was okay, but the place is far different from the outside than the inside. Speaking of the inside, it was definitely in need of a good cleaning.

HORRIBLE! I have eaten king crab legs all my life I know what they look like. They brought me out snow crabs split lmao. I told thme these are not king crab they proceeded to argue with me!!!!!! Place was good a long long time ago do not go here their rude and ignorant to everyone and everything. Food stinks now wait staff should be waiting tables at Applebees and management should just close the doors . Cause its gonna happen sooner rather then later.
