Service and horchata were horrible. Walked in yesterday and was seated immediately, as the place was not busy. The waitress came to our table twice the entire time we were there, once to take our drink order and a second time to bring us our drinks and to take our food order. The horchata tasted like water with a large amount of cinnamon to the point where it dried out your mouth after taking a sip. My boyfriend didnt drink his at all after the first sip and expected the waitress to come back to ask for a different drink but she never returned to our table even after the food come out. She didnt even come to see how we were doing or to bring us our check. My boyfriend had to walk up to the register twice just for her to print out our check for us. Food was good. Though, because of the absolutely horrible service I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.

We were in Great Lakes for my sons Navy Graduation (Pass in review). When he suggested we find an authentic Mexican restaurant, I laughed and said "In Illinois?" But we did our best to indulge his craving for a "home cooked meal like moms food". We happened by this restaurant in our way to a local mall and figured we would stop in and check it out. The food was not only authentic comida casera, but it was A-MA-ZING! We ordered all our favorite go tos including guacamole, queso fundido, birria, enchiladas Rojas, and a good old standard carne asada. The food was tasty, well prepared, freshly made, and fairly inexpensive. The staff was friendly and attentive but not overly so. All in all, they EARNED my five stars and my respect. Who knew I could find my favorite homestyle Mexican comfort food THIS far from Mexico?

Went here because we where referred to by a good friend who I trust. Walked in and was seated. Drinks where excellent, I ordered this HUGE double Corona margarita. Tastes like heaven, my wife ordered a regular margarita, hers was so good that she ordered another. My little princess ordered Horchata and that was delicious. Now for the food. I ordered a combo and the burrito, taco and sope where spot on. My wife ordered a combo; taco and chicken enchilada. Spot on as well. My daughter ordered chicken nuggets and fries, fries where food, as for the nuggets well they where nuggets. We will definitely keep coming back, thank you Jaliscos.

Food was good. We ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. The portion size was smaller than I expected. We might be used to larger portions in Cedar Rapids. The food was delivered quickly. One interesting thing was my drink order. I ordered a margarita. It was served with a knat. Yes a little floating bug. I expected they might get me a new one. Instead the waitress offered to help me scoop it out. It actually didnt bother me much but it was unusual. Overall I was pleased with my meal. 30 bucks with tax with the gran jefe margarita and the fajitas.

We went to Jalisco on the recommendation of a friend who said that the food is good and it is owned by a family who really cares about what they are doing. He is very knowledgeable about Mexican food so we went with relatively high expectations. What we encountered was the rare convergence of extremely friendly and efficient service, a deep menu of items that are beautifully presented and complex in taste and decor that is artistic and fun. We eat out a lot and were so happy to have found Jalisco. By far the best Mexican food we have had in Lake County. They nailed it!

Great food and atmosphere....good choice Went again on June 7 2017. Food was still good but service was terrible. Waitress didnt seem to not care about customers. Man from back ended up getting us the basic things we needed....like drink refills, silverware...etc Very disappointed. Actually felt unwelcome. 5 stars drops to 3. This was me and my wifes favorite. Now we might not return.

Es una delicia , tiene ese sazón mexicano que es muy difícil de encontrar, desde una torta ,un taquito, hasta unas fajitas una carne asada...todo está hecho con un toque bien especial!

Dined here for the first time with my family. We were impressed by the unique decor. Everyone enjoyed their food. Two of us had steak enchiladas and one had chicken quesadillas. Were looking forward to exploring more of the menu on our next visit. Friendly service and hot, fresh flavorful food will make this our "go to" spot for Mexican in the area.

First and last time I go. Prices a bit high on food, especially on soft drinks. Order chiles rellenos and for the size of the chiles it looked like they were stuffed jalapeños. Slow service, the waiter took to bring the order, did not ask what else was offered, almost did not appear at the table and it took time to bring the bill.

Very nice, clean seating area, decent service, but much after that its really your typical taqueria flavor, style and menu. Nothing is amazing or unique, in fact, the prices seemed a bit high for the average quality of food. Pretty disappointed, I had higher expectations given the looks and prices.

My family & I went here wanting to try something new . It was so bad that the only good thing was the chocolate milkshake . Nobody liked there food. They put way too much salt , and had no flavor . The service was horrible we waiting so long . The food was plane , dont recommend at all .

Good food, great service and very quick turnaround! Was impressed when a gentleman who had obviously fallen on hard times came in and tried to pay for a few tacos with some change.. and the server said his meal was on her. Good hearted people are so hard to come by these days.

DELICIOUS food. We get the burrito frito mojado which is just killer - the meat is generous and moist and the cheese sauce is what keeps us coming back. Always friendly and happy staff - seems like ownership knows how to run a restaurant, keeping customers and employees happy.

This place is on my way home. I had been there couple of times for dinner and its really good. As Mexican I can say that the food meet my expectations. I like the Fish caldo for this raining and cold days.

Honestly, theres nothing outstanding about this place. Most of the food we got was pretty flat re: flavor. No real spice in the salsa. Nothing was *bad*, but nothing was good, either.

Best Mexican restaurant next to six flags great America!! The food is great and the customer service was not too bad. If this place was in Chicago I would definitely be a regular.
