My wife and I are always trying to find reasonable places to get a good meal. We dont have money for Mortons too often, but have enough taste that a steak at Outback steakhouse is a joke to us. Finding a great 30-35 dollar plate steakhouse is kind of tricky, so we were hoping this may be a good spot. It started off well. I like the ambiance, the place is pretty cool. Quaint and nice without being stuffy and pretentious. Our server was a b#@*h, and had no problem being short and snippy with us, even though she only had two tables in a snowstorm. The calamari was tasty, as was the soup starter. But then the main course came. Cooked incorrectly, and one of ours was missing the add on crust we ordered (it made it onto the final bill, but never saw the top of my ribeye). Plus, why make steaks "to-order" when asking for medium rare is just a suggestion to the chef? Besides being overcooked in my case and undercooked in my wifes case, they were just.... OK. Not bad, but closer to something that shouldve been at Chilis than a steak and chop house, you know? All in all, I was very disappointed, and have no interest in trying it again.

I would rate this place half a star if I could. I purchased a Groupon after viewing the menu and was really excited to try this. Since my husband is a chef its always hard to find a good steak place thats up to our standards. That being said this restaurant is no steak house at all. It started off rocky since our waiter didnt come for about 10 minutes but the goat cheese appetizer was good. The Caesar salad was good nothing special. The tomato basil bisque soup didnt taste like tomato basil at all due to the over powering spice that was added in it. We both ordered the 14oz ribeye medium rare that only looked about 10oz. My husbands steak was almost more on the medium side but he just ate it regardless. My steak was medium so I sent it back just to get a rare steak in return. I tried to stomach a few bites and ended up just taking it home to re-cook myself. The managers didnt seem to care since no one came to see what was happening. The waiter did take off our appetizer and offered a dessert but we werent impressed. I would not come here or recommend it to anyone.

You walk in to this place and you think your going to get a great meal. The atmosphere is nice and the entrees are $25-$60. It just isnt the case. The food is bland. I felt like I was eating hospital cafeteria food. I should have used my five minute rule. Our waiter didnt show up for ten minutes and was very shady "seedy". One of the owners Dick, was very nice but they need to take a hard look at their recipes if they are going to stay in business. I had stuffed Tilapia. It was supposed to be stuffed with crab meat, in reality it was more like soggy tuna salad... had a very fishy smell to it. $28 and I could only stomach a few bites. The drinks were good, even the one I didnt order that my shady waiter said I did. He was really pushing the drinks. My wife had pasta with lobster. It was described on the menu with having chunks of lobster. What a joke, there may have been a few tiny bits of lobster and the pasta was mush.$32...ouch!!! Nice atmosphere, good drinks, terrible service and tastless, soggy food. That pretty well sums it up.

When I order a 30$ steak, I dont expect it to be the best meal I have ever tasted...but I do expect it to be cooked properly and be a decent steak. The meal started with bread that would have lost out to brown and serve rolls from the supermarket, followed by a soup that was good but even after 10 minutes was too hot to eat (both soups that we ordered). After eating as much of the soup as we could, we ordered 2 ribeyes one Diane style and the other with a blue cheese crust, one medium and the other medium rare. What we received was one well done and the other on the well side of medium. Unfortunately both were tough and the crust was more like a warm Goo. Disappointing to say the least.

Tried FoxFire last night for the first time. Chic design inside, great looking bar, and well-appointed tables, but a little loud due to open kitchen design. Service was decent, and manager stopped by to ask how our meals were, but didnt bother to introduce himself or state his position. So, I just assumed it was a manager and not a curious customer. We opted for pasta dishes, and my boyfriend loved the sausage & penne. My chicken fettucine alfredo was good, but a little bland. Portions were large, but we would have preferred smaller dishes and a lower price, which we found a little on the high side for value. Wine selections by the glass are very limited and about $1/glass too high.

My significant other and I visited this restaurant on Friday, July 18th in celebration of my 50th birthday. Although neither of us had ever been to the restaurant before, we were THRILLED with our visit. He had the New York Strip Steak and said it was one of the best steaks he had ever had. I had the Prime Rib which was far more flavorful than I get at most restaurants. The service was also phenomenal. Everyone paid attention to the details, from the timing of the food service, to packing the horseradish sauce and au jus in my take home container.

I wish i could give them a 0 star rating. My sister had her rehearsal diner her this weekend. My brothers wife ordered her steak medium, they brought her a rare steak, mind you she cut the steak up and my brother had a bite of the steak. About five minute later they brought her a new steak and then gave me a cut up steak that was rare as hell. My brother then said that was Cindys steak. This place is awful the steak was mediocre and i cant believe they would do something like this. WOW

Anyone who has a bad word to say about this place doesnt know what theyre talking about. My family and I have been coming here for years, and each dining experience is the same... perfection. Weve had 2 wedding rehersals and dozens of dinners here and everything from the ambience to the wait staff to the owner have been nothing short of fantastic. I recommend this place to all friends and family and will continue to dine here for years to come.

I took my wife to Fox Fire for her birthday the steaks were excellent and service was very good. The owner came to our table and asked if we were celebrating anything and we told him it was her birthday. He sent us a giant piece of chocolate cake on the house. The prices are very good considering the quality of the steaks, location, and decor. I recommend trying one of the crust (the list is quite extensive) combined with the rib eye.

I called in to make reservations for an office dinner for 10. Miguel answered and was very helpful in understanding how I imagined the night going, and suggested the private room. Once I had the reservations set, he even took the time to explain most of the menu so that I was knowledgeable to relay this message to my group. The actual experience was very enjoyable after such though was put into the preparations.
