This place is awesome! I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. Ive been going there since I was a little kid. Ive lived in Mexico, and I think the food is fairly authentic and seriously high quality. The guacamole is always fresh, the Margaritas well balanced, and the chicken & vegetables are well sourced. Im on my way to pick up take outs, noticed the reviews en route to checking the online menu, and was so annoyed by the negative press that I felt I had to stand up for this great local restaurant. Its got he warmth and joie de vie of Mexico despite the freezing Chicago rain outside.

Went here for Cinco de Mayo thinking mexican sounded like itd hit the spot. Ordered a taco salad with steak, UGH! Came with the traditional fried shell which held a tossed salad with the steak laying on top. One sliver of avocado accompanied this and it was half rotten. Totally disgusting. I will never ever visit this poor excuse for a mexican restaurant again. The waitress was also rude and slow. Very poor experience. And it cost $40 for three childrens meals and my taco salad. WTF?! Dont do it!

The worst service EVER. And the manager threatened to charge my credit card after I told him I would dispute the charge for an extremely wrong order. Every time we ordered from this place we had to make a trip BACK up there for something they forgot or got backwards or didnt prepare as instructed. They dont care about your time or trouble. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place.

I have never been there but my friend says, "Youll love it!". He is a picky eater. We experiment with different restaurants around the city. Im trying it today using my Entertainment Book coupon "Buy 1 Get 1 free". Yay! Im very cheap. It is within walking distance from The Century movie theatre in Evanston, IL.

Well i will ignore what the other people said because i really enjoyed my visit. The waiters are really nice and it was a good service. Im usually very picky, but i loved this Mexican food. It is a very comfortable place and the price is reasonable. I say it is one of the best restaurants in the city.

I was here about a month ago, food was bland. Dessert was okay. Decor was interesting. I wouldnt go back. I was only recently returned from TX and ut paled in comparison. However, my companion also found it lackluster.

Poor service, bland food (enchiladas suizas and combo fajitas). Guacamole had shredded lettuce in it!?!?!? Decent but small Pina Colada. Was never asked if Id like another.
