We just returned from our second visit to this restaurant. The fist visit, we had wonderful customer service, but the food was not up to our expectations. So we gave it another chance. Tonight, we were seated at the back of the restaurant, right by the kitchen, even though the place was almost empty. We waited 30 minutes to receive menus and our first drink. We would have ordered a second drink, if they ever came back to ask. We ordered guacamole at both visits. The first time, it was made at our table to our requests. The second time, it was made in the kitchen with no input from us. As for the food, when we finally received it, it was just bad. The chicken tortilla soup was extremely creamy, spicey with no chicken to be seen. The burritos were too spicy to enjoy. We will never return to this restaurant as it is way overpriced for the terrible food served by uncaring waitstaff.

Usualmente tomamos unas deliciosas micheladas en este restaurant muy bien ubicado en edgewater, tienen una gran variedad de bebidas y el servicio del bartender es muy bueno, nos hizo degustacion de diferentes vinos y tequilas, ademas de que a mi amigo le cambio el platillo ya que este se le hizo demasiado enchilozo. Puedes disfrutar de tu comida tanto dentro como fuera del establecimiento.

I always come here. However, there was a friggin hair on my tropical bites scallop. I let it go. Then I found a huge wiggly hair in my chips dip and I flipped out. The manager was incredibly unhelpful and told me his cooks wear hair nets. Then he threatened to call the police cuz I started using colorful language because the waitress thought she can talk to me in a certain way. The customer is never right here and they are unbelievably dirty I saw a waitress sneeze on food and she just kept walking. Save your money this place needs to be shut down. Dont get sick here they are the type to spit in your food if you look at the mm sideways.

I have been patronizing this restaurant for about a year and have truly enjoyed the service and the food. Im shy and need time to become acquainted with people Im not a drinker though Im probably one of the few people to watch American sports at a Mexican restaurant. I have yet to feel out of place here, the employees make me feel warmly welcomed and I have actually formed a few aquaintances through the friendly employees. I feel that they have an excellent buffet on Sunday afternoons and since Im on budget I have found a dish that I can afford and I have never received any negative feelings towards myself I am very satisfied

WOW, If you like Margaritas, and I mean good Margaritas that actually contain more alcohol than margarita mix, you gotta try the ones they got here. I ordered the TLMC Margarita on the rocks, the bar tender CAME OVER TO MY TABLE WITH THE SHAKER, shook it in front of me, poured the margarita, and left the shaker for me to refill! WHAT?! When does that ever happen!? I am so impressed, Im actually writing this post as I sip on this refreshing glass of wonderfulness. 8$ btw P.s. I dont think they even use margarita mix, all natural organic ingredients!

Horrible service at the bar, bartender was too busy talking with fellow employees to even get my simple order correct, i actually would have ordered a drink but he couldnt bother to tend his bar, had money out to pay bill and he didnt bother to make change so i took back the money and payed nearly the exact amount and left, tips dont come just because you are there dude. 2nd time Ive been here in 2 years, I see absolutely no reason to return.

Bad expensive food. Mexican should not be $15 for disgusting burritos. Best thing is the guacamole. I had the duck which was cooked nicely but the sauce they made with it was terrible. All their sauces was bad. My friend had the pulled pork and it was good meat but bad sauce. Same with the tamales. Try another place that is either better and same price or less expensive and disgusting. Wouldnt go back unless someone paid me.

This place really deserves another star, except for the price. I am from Texas, so I have had a lot of Mexican food, and theirs does not disappoint. The menu is traditional tex mex and every time I have been I have enjoyed. The margaritas as well are good. But the prices are high for Mexican food. Maybe it is because there arent many other places around to choose from, but tex mex shouldnt set you back this much.

Ive been eating this place almost 3 times a week. However the past month they have employed some old man thats been very rude and nasty. With employee like him theyll lose customers like me & $$$. All I asked was extra salsa and he send me to hell like I came from the dumpster. Ill never eat here again. Service 0 & food is not the best. They keep increasing the prices! Time for me to find New Mexican restaurant!

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food is great. I have had the burrito and enchiladas and I would get them again. The only problem is the service is lacking. I normally dont see the waiter/waitress after I order and I have to flag one down to get a receipt. And when you are eating spicy food you want refills of water. Other than that I would come back for more

Overall very pleased with my experience. The staff was very quick to refill my drink. They did not boot me out when I decided to read my Con. Law book there. The overall price was very reasonable (I paid $15 for a buffet meal and drink). Further, I loved the vibrant motiff that they had going in the restaurant, including bright, brilliant colors! All in all very satisfied.

A friend and I visited this place last May, but I never left a review. This place is awesome. The decor is very inviting and the staff is very friendly! My friend and I started out with the tableside guacamole and margaritas. For our main entree, I had a burrito. Everything was delicious and wonderful!

Food here is always consistent and really good. They have some of the best margaritas I have ever had. The wait staff is really friendly and I never feel like they are rushing us to leave. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago right now.

The food is good, and I love the making of the guacamole at the table, but the prices are way too high. Its hard to justify going there when Susupuato (about 3/4 of a mile north) serves the same (if not better food) at half the price.

That Little Mexican Cafe is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant. Their margaritas are delicious and the food is delectable. And nothing, nothing will stop me from getting their guacamole which is made fresh right at your table side.

I love the Cochinta Pibil. Sunday brunch buffet is good too. Must have a margarita, all with freshly squeeze lime instead of that super sweet stuff some Mexican places serve. This place is more expensive though.
