The food was OK, but when I inquired about a $3 up charge for chocolate chips on my $6.95 breakfast special, the owner and waitress chose to lecture me about their menu instead of showing appreciation for how a 43% markup for what some consider to be a condiment might shock some people. Moreover, the waitress got increasingly hostile when I told the cashier that I didnt appreciate how the owner or waitress spoke to me. I realize people dont always handle these situations well, so I left my business card so the owner could reach out to me if he wanted to win my business back. So far, Ive heard nothing.

Its alright. Service is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes theyre attentive, sometimes theyre off having a long conversation somewhere else. Food is alright, but nothing extraordinary. I dont know why Ive ordered a Reuben expecting it to be good, but its just okay. They always forget the dressing. (Herms is still the best in the area, in my opinion.) Portions are generous and its relatively inexpensive, so if youre looking for cheap but mediocre diner food, this is the place.

Very disappointing lunch. There is hardly anything Greek about this place. We waited about 10 minutes before the waitress came by. It took another 45 minutes to get the food which was anything but tasty. The waitress was rude. I will never go back and recommend that you stay away from this third rate "Greek" diner.

1980s style Greek diner or "family restaurant." Lots of breakfast choices, many American standards for lunch plus Greek specialties like Greek salads, gyros and souvlaki. Waitresses are pros, career servers, who call you "Hun." This is kind of like an urban truck stop, with good food and slightly higher prices.

This place is nothing fancy, just your typical family-owned restaurant with a little bit of everything. Sometimes thats just what you need, though. The family is Greek hence the name. For breakfast I like the gyros omelette. Its just what I need the next day after that big night.

Golden Olympic is the best real diner in downtown Evanston. Their omelettes and skillets are great for breakfast. The service us good and the food comes out fast. It is also a great place for an inexpensive dinner with all the extras.
