I like Ten Mile House! Apparently, it is a revival of the original Ten Mile House, which has some really cool history. It was pretty full by the time we arrived there (around 11am on a cold, cloudy Saturday), but we were lucky enough to be seated immediately. The inside is really nice - clean aesthetics with a touch of cozy. I bet it would have been really pretty if it were sunny that day. We had the brisket sandwich and cuban. The cuban is DEE-LICIOUS. The brisket was good too, though I think the chunks of meat were a bit too big for the sandwich (could have been thinner). In the past, weve tried the chicken sandwich (SO GOOD, would recommend) and the club sandwich (also good). I really like their fries as well, and appreciate that they carry beers from local breweries. Service is decent, and I think the prices are on par for most other restaurants in Evanston. I like this place a lot and I hope they continue to thrive.

We got stuck in the pouring rain after a football game, so we walked across the street from Ryan Field to eat dinner and wait it out. Now, here is a restaurant, manager, and staff who understand great customer service. My husband and I waited maybe 15-20 minutes for a table. No biggie. On football Saturday and with no reservation, we were pleased. But they thanked us for our patience and were exceedingly gracious and welcoming. Atmosphere is A+ cozy. Love the details like a little candle on the table. We shared a smoked trout appetizer and a portabella and brie pizza. Scrumptious. Bartender knows how to make a fantastic straight up dirty martini, too. (Trust me. That is rather rare.) Our waiter, Kayvan, was a delight.

Adding to the list of solid, yet unsepctacular places on Central St., Ten Mile House offers good bar/comfort food in a nice looking space. The service is adequate; nice but maybe a bit inattentive at times. The descriptions on the menu look great, but the execution once it gets to the table is a little disappointing. Still, this places has something for everyone and a good drink list as well. It looks like brunch may be better bet, but Ive yet to try it. The place is still fairly new, so I wont rule it out in the future.

The service was great, the outdoor patio was nice, the food was just decent. Had the burger which was a little more done than I ordered and was missing the bacon I added. The bun was essentially two pieces of Texas toast that were pan fried in butter similar to what you get on a grilled cheese, which was definitely the highlight of the burger. I wish I would have tried something else though as there menu had some interesting items and based on the other reviews they probably would have been better.

A breakfast/brunch joint with innovative and unexpected takes on classic dishes. An example is the dude, which is an egg, breakfast sausage and hollandaise sauce on top of a homemade cinnamon roll. Everything Ive had has been delicious, and Ive been here nearly ten times. The service is friendly and fast, but there is often a wait. Best of all prices are very reasonable for the amount of food served, as most dishes are in the 10-15 dollar range.

Overall this restaurant is mediocre. The food is ok, depends on what you get (shrimp and polenta were delicious, pizza was too doughy). The atmosphere is thoughtful, meaning they tried to make it cool/interesting but came up short. There are better options in downtown Evanston, but this is a good place to go with kids for a last minute dinner.

Food was delicious. I had the half chicken with vegetables hash and the vegetables hash was grilled perfectly and the roasted garlic was heavenly... And Im not actually the biggest fan of vegetables. Their sauces where unique and very tasty. Their staff was also very polite and very helpful.

Really good date night restaurant. The ribs were amazingly delicious. Great ambiance and friendly service. Not too fancy, not too casual. Just right as a place for grown ups to enjoy a good meal and drinks. Id recommend this place for a date night or a night out with friends!

4.5: Really enjoyed our experience here. Great menu and delicious food. Not overly expensive for the type of restaurant it is and good location with easy street parking. The brisket tacos were amazing! Would definitely come back.

Excellent food is a modern gastro pub restaurant in downtown Evanston. The stuffed tater tots were amazing. The grilled cheese as an extremely unique take on the standard sandwich. Delicious pulled pork and brisket.

I go back often, drinks are on 10... The chicken wings appetizers are on 10... And the chicken sandwich is really good. There not much I dont like here... It can get crowded fast, otherwise its a great Evanston place.

Busy from the Midlands wrestling, but the service was still good, the staff was friendly and the portabella brie pizza was a ten! Will come back whenever we are in town.
