Can I give it zero stars? Decent food, terrible service the last two times I was in.. We went in this past Saturday and sat in the back area. Someone greeted us and gave us brunch menus. It was close to 3 PM. No one else acknowledged our presence for 15 minutes despite me desperately trying to make eye contact with anyone. I was hungry and we knew what we wanted. They were not terribly busy. Two waitresses appeared to be finished with a large group who seemed to be dining on a buffet set up just for their group. When the waitress (short blond hair) finally arrived to take our order, she said it was after three and we couldnt order brunch. Why were we given brunch menus, I wondered. I told her if they were more prompt in taking our order we would have gotten in under the time limit. Then she argued with me about when she arrived! I couldnt believe it. Where in the customer service training manual does it say "argue with your customers"? WTF!!! I told the bartender why we were leaving. He made a half-hearted (at best) attempt to make it right.We will not return. There are plenty of places to eat in Rogers Park. Forgot to add, weve ordered delivery a few times. Always slow, soggy, and incorrect orders.

Rating on environment, drinks, crowd and food. The place is nice a bit hidden but a nice local place good for groups. Its clean and they have a really nice spot at the back of the bar perfect for a night out here with your girl and groups. The drinks were good had cocktails as well as beers. From my experience if they cant get a simple jack and coke right the other elaborate drinks will surely suffer. The cocktails were good they didnt over/under pour which is nice shows they arent promoting binge drinking which helps set a good vibe when meeting other singles. Beer selection was nice would like to see more local brews since local IPA brewers are popping up alot. The people were friendly staff was super nice. When we arrived others outside were friendly letting us know there was a lot to park in. Nice diverse crowd id say ideal for singles to meet at. The people are what really helped sell this place to a 5 star rating for me. The food was good tasty Id recommend trying the calamari that can be a hit and miss thing at bars but this place got it right. I would surely go back to try other things on their menu. Although a bit hidden it is a nice local spot quiet street feels safe at night.

We went here for a beer. We ordered a Dogfish ale. We got a sweet beer and we complained. A drunk woman behind the bar who DIDNt serve us was rude, told us off, tasted our beer and then told us to leave because we told her we KNEW what Dogfish tasted like. She told us, "its not OUR fault you ordered the wrong beer!". I have drank Dogfish for years and know what I ordered. The TAP said DOGFISH ALE....we KNOW what we ordered and we were treated like trash by a drunk woman who was allowed behind the bar and didnt even serve us....at a normal bar, if you dont like your beer..they will smile and get you another...not cuss you out, have their lover threaten to beat you up and then tell you to leave because youre offended at being threatened and told youre wrong...what happened to the old American idea that the "customer is always right"...obviously, at this establishment...young, uneducated people who tend the bar there dont understand this American business staple...ITS THE CUSTOMER THAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS....Ill be praying and watching for the FOR SALE sign at this place......

We have been here before and have had good experiences. Tonights food and service were absolutely terrible. The drinks took forever to be served. Actually, when the first was finally served, the waiter indicated that the other drink wasnt available. When another drink was ordered, it took another 20 minutes to get it. Then, the waiter brought us bread that he said was fresh from the oven. It wasnt. When we finally got our food, my burger was well-done/ burnt instead of medium as ordered. My husbands chicken was totally dried out and tasteless. The waiter said that there was a deduction for a drink but what he really meant was that we werent charged for.the drink that wasnt ever received. At least one of the drinks and maybe both should have been comped. We were so disappointed by our experience tonight that it will be a long time before we return, if at all.

I was here last night with family from Texas. Actually I am from Indiana and my cousin from Texas was formerly from this neighborhood met up with a real good friend and it was her idea to come to this restaurant. I want to give them props! They are the best restaurant I have been to in Chicagoland area. Friendly staff and made my family feel so welcomed. The food was extraordinary delicious! When I mean Authentic! It was The Best! I want to seriously give them 5 stars!! They were the best and the staff and their clientele was very very nice to my family and friend. Thank You Fireside Restaurant and Lounge for the great time we had.

Was a really nice place to take my Dad for an early evening Dinner. we were in town on business, and he was hungry and wanted something he could relate to (he just turned 80) we were both happy to see 3 members of the City Police dining there too (in uniform even) the food was GOOD, I had a burger on a pretzel bun, and it was really well crafted, and Dad had the salmon, with no complaints (odd thing that). The Beer selection was just Awesome, and draft beer from craft breweries was a large selection as well Good job yall - but...get a few more waiters, the poor guy was really overworked the night we were there (a week-night)

This restaurant is where I go for my favorite pizza, Pesto Shrimp! We usually go as a group and this time was no different (6/7/17)! This restaurant is very accommodating with a sports bar room, a more casual room, and my favorite, the enclosed outdoor back room. The food at this restaurant is always piping hot, the drinks are SOooo good and the service is just ok. I went to their brunch on Fathers Day a few years ago and it was good, I plan to go back this Sunday (6/18) for Fathers Day! Overall, this restaurant has a more casual, fun type of atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. I would go back for the drinks alone! Enjoy!

The bartender was kind of wasted. Didnt put my order of fries in til asked about them 20 after I ordered them(because french fries take that long to cook) then slurred some excuse about how they were cleaning the kitchen 2 HRS BEFORE THE KITCHEN CLOSES. Made the complete wrong drink the first one I ordered and I had no idea where the confusion came from since the drinks arent similar and dont even sound the same. The best part was when friend ordered a drink that had a USED LEMON(we were pretty sure the lemon was actually bitten into) never going back despite it being a nearby 4am spot.

Been a customer here for a number of years. I have known much of the staff, some of them personally and socially. They run a first-class operation with good solid food ranging from the typical burger to more exotic daily specials with some great choices for major holidays like Xmas, New Years, Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, etc. Great beer selection along with some interesting specialty cocktails. Affordable and well-chosen wine selections. Cozy dining room with fireplace in the winter, two outdoor patios. Dont miss their Brunch, with a 200 ingredient Bloody Mary bar.
