There was a very long line but since I was dining by myself, I was seated right away. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff was very attentive. Great choice of breads-my eggs were cooked perfectly-and the food overall was delicious. I had he Boondock Skillet with rye toast and eggs over-easy. I saw the woman who seated me, perhaps the owner, realize a small family had left their to go box on their table and quickly grabbed it and ran it outside for them. When I left she even shook my hand and apologized for any inconvenience. (There was none) Overall delicious food, attentive staff, and great customer service. Isnt that all we want in a restaurant?

A solid place for breakfast food in Downers Grove. (We liked it better than Omega, Juicy-o and Egg Harbor.) Decent pancakes, mediocre fruit and bacon. Good eggs. Our waitress on a Saturday morning was a bit rushed and rude. She did not listen thoroughly to my order (I have an allergy) and it ended up having to be remade. It was after that mess up that she started paying attention to us (finally bringing extra napkins for my little ones, offering to refill drinks (mine had been empty for 15 minutes). I dont anticipate my family rushing back here again, but if friends want to meet up here, we wouldnt avoid it.

Service was good and the food came out really fast. Having never been here before I wanted to get some kind of signature dish. Got the stuffed French toast with baked apple on top. Was a little too sweet for me but the apples were tasty. My wife got the succulent seduction waffle. Was OK, the whole pieces of bacon that they placed in the waffle became soft and void of flavor. For us I think the food could have been better if we just stuck to the breakfast flavors we normally choose. Once again the service was second to none.

The go-to place for great breakfast, especially with larger groups. The team at Baked Apple always rises to the challenge. I meet up quarterly with some old friends who have since added families. So our group has grown some (usually between 12 and 20 in our group) over the years. Finding a breakfast place that can accommodate a large group on a weekend morning can be pretty difficult. But Baked Apple has always made us feel welcome. The service is excellent, always managing our large group with a smile.

perfection. absolute f***ing breakfast perfection. do not eat here, because this food will ruin every other breakfast you will ever eat. these folks put pumpkin cheesecake in French toast for crying out loud. red velvet pancakes? yeah dude, I popped a semi just reading that too. if I could choose to have something in my mouth the moment I keel over dead, and assuming Scarlet Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence were unavailable, I would choose the exquisitely cooked bacon and hash browns at this restaurant.

I love this place for breakfast on the weekends. When theyre busy the parking can be atrocious but the flavors more than make up for it. The staff is very friendly and tries to get people seated as quickly as possibly. Extremely nice with children and the food... From omelette to pancakes to everything breakfasty youre in for a treat! It is totally worth the wait on a busy day and has a wonderful breakfast diner atmosphere. Bonus: they are spot on for refilling your coffee in a timely manner.

Popular for their stuffed French toast with apples. A little too sweet for me, but my husband who loves sweet things thought it was amazing. Id treat it like a dessert to share and get other breakfast items so you dont feel like your entire body is filled with sugar. There was no wait to be seated the morning I went, but read that it can get super crowded so get there early or be prepared to wait. Appreciated the constant refilling of my coffee cup.

The food was fair, the service was nice, the place was kind of empty. I would only go back only if I had to. I had Eggs over medium, turkey sausage and hash browns, with wheat toast; they let me taste their grits, because I didnt want soupy grits, but they were pretty good, but still not as firm/thick as I normally like them, but again, surprisingly good. Nothing really stood out in terms of taste or atmosphere.

The Baked Apple is a Greek family owned restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch only, with a big selection of American breakfast specialties. I specially like the big sandwich called the "The EX" with a scrambled egg in the sandwhich and I call it "Jerrys EX", its like having breakfast and lunch at the same time. It doesnt matter what you order here, its always very good and fresh.

Oh my goodness. The apple, cream cheese stuffed French toast is unreal. I love the funny menu names. And you have to love a place that grows its own basil out front. My husband enjoyed his berry French toast, and I liked my frittata even though it was way too big for me to finish. Our server was absolutely wonderful. Great experience overall!

The service is friendly, the food is great quality, the pick up order speed is quick. My favorite is their Johnny Denver omelette, hash browns, and upgraded to "The Company" french today which has cinnamon sugar baked apple and sweet cream cheese shopping sauce. If that doesnt make your mouth water, then you might not be of this planet.

Would give this 6 stars if I could. Their signature stuffed French toast is more of a dessert so its best if you treat it as such. Everything else we had was also phenomenal and the service was very fast and polite. This place is too far from me to frequent regularly, but will be a destination every time Im in the area on a weekend.

Absolutely delicious foods. From the crepes to the omelettes, I would come here every morning if I could. The French Toast stuffed with sweet creme and topped with sauted green apples, a signature dish, wasnt just mouth watering, but it was so damn amazing! It left you fulfilled and more than satisfied.

*Small Proportions and Over Priced* I ordered the veggie skillet with added avocado. I am used to skillets being of a full plate proportion. I received a soup sized bowl with hash browns, veggies in the middle and egg on top. The taste of the skillet was average at best. 2 stars. Ill never go back.

Super friendly people, fast service, great food. We went for breakfast and I ordered basted eggs. Some places cant do them right but this place nailed them. My wife had a breakfast panini and she said it was delicious. They also make what appears to be the best hash browns weve ever had.

The food is decent, service was good. They have a sign on the door that says find me gluten free, yet when asking our server about allergies, she seemed less than interested, but, she did go check with the cook without us having to ask her to do so. I would definitely eat here again.

The staff is extremely kind. Diane was my server and she addressed any questions I had with smiles and enthusiasm. If you are here try something with their specialty apples on it. My frittata was crazy good and the french toast with the above mentioned apples will be dreamed about.
