I actually searched for a Thai restaurant in the area, and drove out of my way to try this due to reviews. The place itself is in a strip mall and is slightly dated inside. The menu is large with a lot to choose from. We ordered Drunken Noodles, Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Tea. The tea was good. It reminded me of tea and chocolate milk together. The Rangoon wasnt bad. Not the best Ive had, but good enough. I usually get 3 or 4 tiny piece of really good Rangoon other places, whereas this is 6 larger pieces of OK Rangoon. You pick. The fried rice was a little overdone. The egg was crispy and burned in places, but still tasted alright. The Drunken Noodles were by far the worst Ive eaten. Out of dozens of high and medium grade Thai places Ive visited in the US, this gets my award. The noodles were crispy at first...until I realized they were just all majorly overcooked and dark. I normally expect some sort of random vegetables mixed in, but there was really only 4 or 5 pea pods a shred or 2 of carrot and about half an onion. So, beef, onion, burned noodle. The seasoning was rather bland as well. It was a bit too sweet, and it tasted reminiscent of drunken noodles, but not quite there. I ate about half and all of the meat. Thats all I could stomach. Ive felt sick all day as a result. Its always a risk ordering from new place, but I just couldnt stomach any more of the noodles. I declined to make a big deal about it, as I was there with someone and didnt want to be rude. Upon traveling out to new restaurants, Im often in the search for a place that I HAVE to go back to, because I like something on the menu. This is a place, however, will never be that.

Ok so this place is good. The food is always satisfying and the portions are always generous. But goddamn does the service just lack EVERY TIME. The waitresses always have to be called over whether I need a refill on my drink, or need to order, ask for hot sauce, or get the bill... whatever it is, Im always waving people down. Ive also noticed (I dont know how this is possible but I swear to God its true) that the waitress always eats her lunch or takes her break in the middle of her shift while serving us. It doesnt matter what waitress we get, when Im ready for the bill or ready to order and look around, she will be right there at the back of the restaurant eating. Im all about people getting their break but if youre going to go on break, how about telling another waitress to take watch of your table. Today I had to get up and go over to the sushi side to get chopsticks and a soy tray myself so I wouldnt disturb this girls lunch. Not only that, she took so long to come get the bill that I just walked it up to the register to pay myself as well. These things arent deal breakers and Im sure we will be back but just something to think about Thai San Chef. Lets get these waitresses under some kind of training program.

Poorly prepared food. I ordered Thai basil chicken. There was no basil. The chicken tasted like it was boiled. Very rubbery and old tasting. When I asked where the basil was the waiter told me it was there but it was not. He took it back to the kitchen and added a sprig of basil. The dish was flavorless. There was a small sliver of green pepper and no other vegetables. In fact my three dining companions did not have any vegetables in their dishes either and we each ordered something different. Fried rice was just rice with soy sauce and chunks of leftover chicken..They should take all the Thai dishes off the menu because they do not know how to prepare Chinese food let alone Thai food. This place has really gone down hill. Its apparent they are cutting corners. The food was terrible.

This place may have been the worst service I’ve ever had. Our waitress never asked if we wanted anything to drink, any apps, or entrees. We had to flag down another server. She dropped water off at the table and went off to eat. The service was mixed between her and another waiter, water was never refilled and we were never asked if we needed anything. To top it off we decided to pay for the meal with a card and tip in cash, after the waiter picked up the signed tab he said “Um there is no tip?” Now this service did not warrant a tip and even if it did you do not ask where your tip is. The food was ok but not worth the experience. I’m not needy but I shouldn’t have to work harder than my server to make dinner happen and should not be asked about a tip.

Uninspired... In 2008 & 2009 this restaurant was apparently winning awards and recognition. What happened? Did they loose the "chef" who had passion for his food? I could have made a better Vegetarian Panaang curry at home by picking up a bottle of sauce at Whole Foods. They put a corn starch or something like it as a thickener in the curry sauce. I have never seen anything like it at a Thai restaurant and I have been to plenty. TaiSan if you cannot do something well take it off your menu. Maybe you are best at chinese food. I dont know but I wont be back. The server was also uninspired and seemed like he did not want to be there as well.

Ordered lunch specials, was told it would take 20min. An hr. Later I call them and ask where my order is, told it was in route and should arrive in a few minutes. It arrived about 10min after. Then to my surprise my son and my self were greeted with COLD food. Im led to believe they made our food, allowed it to then sit for most like 40min, then realized they forgot to send an order out. Not pleased with this place at all. As an avid Chinatown goer off of cermack. Avoid suburban Chinese food it is just a disappointment in a Styrofoam container.. save the craving for a late night or weekend trip over to chinatown. Trust me...

The food was horrible My friends and I were treat bad based on the color of our skin -The food did not have good taste -The service was slow -The food came out at separate times -They constantly messed up our order -The lady waitress was rude and act as if we were a bother for being there - However we notice that people of lighter skin color was treated way better than us and got there food before us -The manager want my one friend to pay for her because she wanted to send it back because it was nasty This was a horrible experience but my friends and I still had an excellent time enjoying each other

My husband and I went to here for dinner. We both dont eat too much meat and I just came from China. We ordered two dishes, one was vegetable delight and the other was vegetable and fish. They are the most delicious Chinese food I ate in recent 4 days in Chicago. The flavor are like the northern Chinese food style. If you want to taste the real northern Chinese food around Lemont, I strong recommend you to eat here :)
