Service was very disappointing. I had to ask them multiple times of the same request. Also had to ask the staff to bus my dishes that were finished, instead of them asking if they could take it. We didnt have anyone come check to see how we liked (or disliked) the food. We, unfortunately, didnt take well to their pad thai that we were eager to try due to the "review" and their fried rice - a bit too sweet for my groups taste. My mother, being the most disappointed because shes traveled to Thailand and is a huge fan of the papaya salad and pad thai. When checking out, the lady didnt seem to remember (or something). We had a dispute with the pricing of the bill, even after I explained how dissatisfied. I was so done with the entire situation and just wanted to go. This was my first time (EVER) NOT leaving a tip.

So I had previously contact Grub Hub regarding an order, we had soup delivered and it did not taste or smell well at all. It tasted like old plastic water. Also ordered green tea and when I opened the delivery bag it had spilled all over. The foam cup was not even half way full of tea. We contacted the manager and they told us they would send something else instead as it was our lunch time and we were hungry. So we had rice sent to us and it was just horrible, we realized it wasnt the soup but probably the restaurant itself, we understand things happen but we literally threw out everything they sent us. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!

I am a regular customer to this place for my thai food in the neighborhood. If you do take out, the food will be ready quicker (On Sundays - about 15 minutes), but if you do the delivery, it will take about 45 minutes. The place is on the ground level with no access to the wheel chair... Food itself is decent. Their noodle dish are not bad. I usually enjoy below menus; Druken noodle (Very thick noodle..I love it with beef) Red Chicken Curry Green Curry Fried Rice I am still look for more authentic Thai restaurant...I am from NYC...so I guess my standard is high for Asian food...but this place is really decent.

I would not have minded the value had it not been for the service, or rather, the lack there of. The waitress took over 15 minutes to come by our table and take our order, delivered our food at 10 minute intervals, and didnt even bother asking if we were done eating before take away our plates. It annoyed me to no end that the tip was already included. The food was of horrible quality as well. Some of the entrees were bland while others were extremely salty. The portions were also ridiculously small. All in all, Im never going back there. I suggest you try finding a different place to get your thai food.

This place is in the basement of the Thai consulate, in case you werent sure...its amazing! Some of the best Thai food Ive had outside of Thailand! The fried tofu appetizer was not the best, but the mango salad was great! I had the spicy Thai noodle curry with chicken and I thought that I had died and gone to curry heaven. It was thick and creamy and incredibly satisfying. My boyfriend had the basil chicken and it was perfect. The sticky rice and mango was a great way to finish it all off. With our coupon it cost $18. Will return visit Chicago with this place in mind!

Good food, but nothing super special. The curries were tasty, masaman and red, and there was a shrimp curry dish that was good, too, and generous with the shrimp. The spring rolls were cold, pretty small, and wrapped in a pretty thick wrapper, and werent my favorite, probably not worth getting. The restaurant was pretty chilly inside. Location is good, with so many touristy, overpriced, overhopped places around, its nice to have a more basic option right off Michigan in downtown Chicago.

If the human body could survive on Crab Rangoon I would never leave the Silver Spoon. They were the perfect flavor, texture, and size. Everyone just as good or better then the last. I also ordered the Thai Noodle Soup which I recommend. The beef and noodles were delicious and the broth unique, unlike anything Ive had before. This this tiny basement restaurant is great for smaller groups or carryout/delivery. I cant wait to come back.

First of all they are open on Sundays until 10p. Second, we tried this place because I got a gift card and I thought the food was good. Such a small place so if there is a lot of people you might have to wait, but not long. They were so quick to get us seated, drinks, and food. We had drinks, appetizers and dinner within an hour of walking in and all of that was under $50.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food at this place. It is very tasty and good value.
Price is reasonable and it's a BYOB
This softshell crab curry was excellent
As with the chicken satay appetizer and crab Rangoon
The cashew chicken was fresh
I'd go there again

Great noodle dishes, and killer $9 lunch specials. Spicy Crazy Noodles are always a solid choice if youre into hot/spicy food. Be warned: Jalapeno is a vegetable in this dish, not merely a seasoning. Tiny little garden level hole-in-the-wall is immediately next door tot he Thai consulate, so its safe to assume that they know what theyre doing.

Very inexpensive, very good. Frequent customer and I go out of my way to order from there and pick up. Tied with Noodles in the Pot as BEST thai in Chicago at this price point. Any negative reviews are one-offs and I would disregard. For three years I havent been able to find a better cheap thai place.

My concierge at the fancy hotel was reluctant to recommend this place because its a hole in the wall. I love it. Great food. Huge portions. Reasonably priced. Very helpful staff. If you are within a couple of miles of this place I recommend it. Much better than the fancy Siam place downtown is known for.

I went here with some people from Thailand, and all of us loved the food. The place is located next to Thai Embassy, so if you are looking for authentic Thai food, they got it! The green curry was absolutely phenomenal... The appetizers were super! I am most definitely coming back!!!

Visiting Chicago, we were looking for good Thai food. You can expect American Thai food to be a bit more sweet and salty and less sour and spicy. However, the food was so sweet it was basically inedible. Happy with the kind, happy service but very unhappy with the food.

We visited this restaurant while in Chicago for 4th of July weekend. The Pad Thai, Mini Egg rolls, and mango rice were all excellent. The service was fast, attentive and very kind ( even with our 2 young children in tow. I would recommend this to locals and tourists.

Great price and good taste, But poor customer services. Gave me a warning to place an order one hour before for delivery when it is not even dinner time or lunch time. Regardless, dont ever talk to the customer like that.

One of the best Thai restaurants in my book! You wont be disappointed by anything on the menu. I try to avoid busy times, as its a smaller space. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is very friendly.
