When I first came to Soul Food Heaven they look like they were closed because the windows were dark dark tinted. When I entered the restaurant the decor was very nice and contemporary, when I ordered my food the waitress very helpful. I ordered my food to go. I ordered fried corn and the jerk chicken and rice shrimp side dish . I was eating the jerk chicken and rice there was no shrimp there was only a small piece of jerk chicken meat in there and the rice was mushy and overcooked I asked for steamed cabbage and it was cabbage soup. The Cabbage was shredded into very fine pieces and it was greasy .The fried corn was not fried it was a cup of corn in water with sugar. THIS is not a Soul Food Heaven it was a soul food hell

Second vist was the worst which shoulda been better since the owner was there. The server had a attitude and was moving like a turtle. She telling me let her know when im ready uhm I was ready when I walked thru the door come over behind the counter in position not over there sitting dwn like u a customer....so as im payin and preparing to leave I asked the question of a life time.. do u have free togo water..the owner comes out loud as ever wat she dont wana buy a bottle...well since she dont wana pay for water just give her some..how rude...im pulling my buzziness from here im back to MORRISONS ONLY!! AND THE CORN IS CANNED PROBALY JUST LIKE THE DRESSING

We had a wonderful meal here. They were very nice and accommodating for our party of six including two young children. The restaurant is bright and well decorated. There are four large screen TVs that werent on (which we liked) and nice art work adorning The walls. The kids even liked the food and they are usually picky. The portions are large and very flavorful. The sides are also generous and equally brimming with flavor. We had fried chicken wings, jerk turkey tips, chicken alfredo dinners with fried corn, chopped spinach, mac and cheese and lasagne sides. We will be going back for sure.

Brought my mother and daughter here today as a Mothers day treat to try something new. The server was excellent very sociable, friendly, and attentive. The food was amazing! Prices were great and the decor and ambience was very modern and welcoming. The owner was there and he was also very personable. Great for date night. Music was nice and there are tvs so the guys can watch the game lol. Also there is security as well that will escort all the ladies to their vechiles. Well put together, Black owned and great menu selection. I found a new spot!

This food was a "SoulFood Hell" it was absolutely disgusting!! the turkey was burnt and tough. The black-eyed peas were salty as hell with no good flavor and the baked garlic and herb chicken had no flavor at all . I was very disappointed good thing I got my money back I will never return. Ill just stick to Morrisons where you get your moneys worth

I absolutely love eating here. I bring my friends, coworkers and children. The difference about Shirley s compared to other soul food places is Shirley hasnt lost the soul. Her food still tastes like your grandma is in the back cookin. I love this place.
