Always a pleasure. The Crackerbarrels seem to be fairly consistent which is really good and sorta sad. On the sad part I mean the items in the store. While I love to look at their things and occasionally buy stuff - sometimes I get tired of looking at the same things. This comes from someone who travels a lot! I had the lemon cream cheese stuffed french toast, eggs over easy, grits and bacon. Coffee and absolutely great service. I cannot rave enough over the grits. First grits Ive had in decades that tasted so good. Usually they taste like they are pre-made then freezed dried. I wanted to order seconds on the grits. The bacon is always worth mentioning as well, delicious above average. The eggs were cooked to perfection, I order eggs over easy so many times and often get them still runny and raw. The french toast was to die for - wished I had two slices instead of one - but I guess I should be thankful the restaurant puts a cap on my limits! :-) I want to repeat again the service was exceptional!

I frequent alot of Cracker Barrel restaurants across the country with my work sending me to many different cities and towns. This particular Cracker Barrel is literally the worst one I have ever been to. The service and management was horrible, not to mention I couldnt even get cornbread. Spoke with manager and he didnt do anything to help with any of my problems all he could say was "I am sorry" no comp or anything to make the horrible restaurant experience here more comfortable. Corporate will be called and hopefully things will change with this store. Granted this review is written based on an evening visit between 7-closing.

THESE PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY RUDE!!! Ive always gone to Cracker Barrell to enjoy a nice time and amazing food but these new staff members are trash!!! I ordered for a simple cup of water and I found a roach in it and then I asked the waitress for a new one explaining that there was a roach in it and she rudely said to me "Well all of them are going to have roaches". Infuriated I asked for the manager and she then replied "Shes not going to do anything anyways she doesnt care about her job". I stormed out of there because I could not take it anymore. Im going to corporate immediately!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

In fairness our waitress was new, or so it was said, so we cut some slack on the order taking and service. Food is Cracker Barrel quality and the service for our timing was pretty fast. I actually order like a custom breakfast, or close to it, because I do not like grits and the extras that they usually serve with meals like the biscuits. They appeased and we had a decent breakfast for dinner. Recommend instead of the fast chains however, you will be full when you leave. Prices are not bad either. Living in California I dont get a chance to regularly visit a Cracker Barrel, so when I get a chance I love to visit. I always get Breakfast Grandpas Country Fried Chicken with eggs. All the restaurants are pretty much the same. Visiting Madisonville you get the southern charm (even though they are really north) with your breakfast. Only thing I could say is be prepared to wait, they do things on their own time here in Madisonville. Enjoy!

Typical service...wait for 10 minutes with no server taking your drink order or even stopping by to say they will be right back. This time we walked out and went to Oasis where we get drinks within 2 minutes of arriving. The only way Ill eat at cracker barrel again is if Sly is my server. Told hostess we were leaving and she could of cared less.

Best country fried steak in town hands down. No comparison unless you have it at home in a cast iron skillet. That good plus great service. The young lady who served us was amazing and had a great sense of humor in a full house. Our tea never was empty and we didnt run out of anything! - Wow.
