Went to restaurant with my infant. Went to the restroom to change him and apparently, unbeknownst to me, my waitress left for the day but made sure my bill was left on the table. I returned to eat my food, waited for my waitress to return to see if I needed anything or offer a to go box. It never happened. Neither did anyone EVER come over to see if I needed anything. I had to again leave my food and search for someone to bring another drink and water. I then asked if my waitress left for the day and was told yes. At they point I was very upset and went to pay my bill. The manager came to take my money, I explained how disappointed I was in the previous events, not looking for any handouts. He responded with no eye contact the total due. I asked was it customary that the waitress leaves and no one covers their customers who are still present. He tells me I should be asked for someone to come and help me! He was very rude and I was disgusted, I will never return here again!

Ive been going to this restaurant for years and dont get me wrong the Customer Service was great and also the food. But today the service was terrible and my food was sent back twice. I was willing to pay for the food but not mines. He wanted to still charge me because I tasted the food. How would I have known it was cold had I not tasted it. He then replied you people always want something for free. I will never eat here again or recommend no one to go here ever with that type of service and disrespect.....

I didnt think that this place was anything special. The parking situation is terrible with its small lots in the back, which forces you to find parking on the two main streets that the establishment sits on the corner of. The wait staff was barely interactive and the food is not worth mentioning. Ive only visited a few times; always through an invitation to breakfast. Personally, I wouldnt spend my own money here...likewise, I wouldnt accept another invite here either.

Just left from eating breakfast. I had a curly white strand in my food. Dont know if it was hair or plastic, but I told my waiter. No one acknowledged my complaint with an apology or anything. Second time this happened. Last Saturday mii & my sister were served cold grits. I work in food service so Im actually offended the way things were(well werent) handled. So from now on Ill take my business elsewhere. Nor will I recommend this place of business to anyone else.

My husband and I went to this restaurant today and let me tell you it was horrible! I ordered a Bacon and cheese omelette, Hashbrowns and pancakes. First off the bacon and cheese omelette was more like a cheese omelette. The hashbrowns they brought me were white and not cook. Also the pancakes were stale. Nothing was hot also! I asked them to bring me cook hashbrowns and they brought me back burnt hashbrowns

Me and my friend, lil, use to go here after mass Sundays for years until I got sick. Now I call in our order and my husband picks it up. The waitress knows us and the order is ready when he gets there . I love this restaurant and the beautiful people that work there. By the way Ive never sent anything back. The food is delicious!!!

Pretty good restaurant but servers are inattentive. Took 15 min before my order was placed. Ive been coming to this restaurant for over 15 yrs. Service has always been hit or miss. Food is good. Typical "diner" fare. No complaints about the food.

A big collection of food and it is always good. This place is one of the best breakfast restaurants I been to in a while. I had the pancakes, the steak, and the omelette and they where all perfect. Plus they gave free coffee or free soup.

I had the meatloaf. It was terrible and so was the service. I had to ask if it was real meat! The waitress reached over our food withher armpits and then overflowed the teapot onto the table. Dont think ill go back anytime soon.

I love to eat here. I have been coming here for over 30 yrs. I live in Indiana and whenever Im in Chicago and find the time I eat here. The liver and onions are to die for. Highly recommend and breakfast is great as well.

First time there and the customer service was excellent! Also a really big fan of all the food selection that they serve at Starlight. All in all this is a amazing neighborhood restaurant and its fairly inexpensive.
