Fair warning, this is nit picky, but added up together made for a terribly mediocre meal. The portions are enormous, which is a good thing for some, but I felt wasteful throwing away 3/4 of my meal. The chicken fried steak comes with bad sausage gravy, Instead of peppered gravy. The tossed salad is literally that. They toss any and every veg onto a plate. Sandwich slice tomatoes, whole baby carrots, huge stalks of celery, sugar snap peas, huge chunks of broccoli, and huge chunks of cauliflower. Would be much better simplified. Mashed potatoes were obviously microwaved. Some parts were cold, others piping hot. One of the forks in the napkin wrapper had dried old cheese on it. No salt at the table. Menu had sticky residue on multiple pages. Good for a drunk meal, so you can overlook the finer details of eating out.

I went here with a couple of friends after we were done with our karaoke night. The food was okay; I was impressed with how fresh the chicken kebab was and the Greek salad was wonderful! Nothing impressed me more than Rebekah though. Such great service, very genuine, communicative, and an amazing attitude/work ethic! People like her are rare to come across. If I didnt ask, I thought she worked there for 20 years, but to my amazement only two! Im not sure what was up with the manager on her shift though: Shirt not tucked in, jeans slagging, leaning against the counter for the entire time we were there, constantly chit chatting with another server instead of working and busting ass like Rebekah! When I go to places, atmosphere is key and thanks to Rebekah, I would love to visit Hollywood Grill, again!

Weve been taking the family to Hollywood Grill for years. This night we had my sons, one girlfriend, their 3 kids and my 80yo mom with mild Alzheimers. We go about once a month. This night, the waitress tried to card us over ordering mom some wine and was pretty insistent about it. We left instead of forcing the issue and making an old lady cry. We went down the street to another place who would serve her. It all seemed very mean at the time. I brought the issue up to the management later, but got no response. Mom can be a bit much to handle in her condition. Weve stopped going for awhile preferring to take her to more old-lady friendly places.

Ive been going here for years, its close to me, always open, but this last trip was my last. Waitress, an older lady, takes my order, I ask if my table could be "bussed" (i.e. wiped from last person there) "I have a busboy around here somewhere"...... Table was never wiped. Lady pick up a rag and do it! This is the same waitress who will bring you your water with her hand around THE RIM of the glass! Soup was fine, club sandwich was fine, but I have to get up to get more water and to ask for dressing. Lazy biach never came by once EXCEPT to lay down the bill before I was even finished. Almost 9 bucks for that? I am never going back!

I have been going to this place for years until one night, the waitress told me that I was taking too long and her manager said to leave the restaurant. Keep in mind, I was there with 4 friends at around 2:00AM, we were very quiet since we all were exhausted, we were dressed very well. The restaurant had plenty of open tables. We spent around 45 minutes at the restaurant from the time we walked in until the time the waitress told us to leave. That was the last time I eat at that place. There are plenty of dinners open 24-hours in Chicago so why not try the rest for now on.

Food is worse than your average hole in the wall diner, the amount of sugar and salt they use in everything is disgusting. If you dont have any problems with your digestion, give it a try. I asked for the chicken kabob that comes with rice and pita, and asked for another scoop or half scoop of rice instead of pita. No. They only give exactly what is on the menu or less. No customer satisfaction guarantee. I didnt order. Ill vote with my dollars for a place that will give me good service. I have spent wayyy too much money at restaurants to continue to pay for crap.

If its after 1AM and youre looking for a sit down joint, this is your place. You can only get breakfast, but its exactly what you want- greasy diner food. Every neighborhood has one of these places, and Wicker Park/Bucktown has Hollywood. The people watching is exceptional, because there are others here that are cops, homeless, night people, or just everyday Joe Schmo. Then there are those of us that have been hitting the local bars or just up too late at the after after after party. Nice little greasy micro cosm.

If we could give it zero stars, we would. Ordered mozzarella sticks, took a bite, frozen and cold inside. The manager took the bitten into food unapologetically back to the kitchen, and re-heated it in the microwave and brought it back. Eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was so sour it was inedible. The French toast was soggy and literally orange. Waitress was nice, but we ended up not eating, paid the bill, and left. How did this place get such good reviews??????

I am putting 3 stars not because of the service but in fact our service was actually okay but the food was okay, its just another greasy spoon restaurant but I am writing to tell you not leave a tip on the table because the tip is on your check! I ended up leaving the lady a $10 tip on the table for my bill to show me they took out a $9 tip on my bill, The service was not great for me to pay a $19 tip I was very upset but I will not be going back

I come here often Anne Mary is a great waitresses, very friendly, very attentive and knows how to treat the customers. Food is good I always get the shrimp. The two stars that are missing is the one girl name danielle who has such a horrible attitude towards the waitresses and talks very disgusting in front of customers as well (mind you I came in with kids) I think the manager needs to boot her or she needs classes for customer service.

The quintessential place to sober up after a night of partying. Here at 3am you are bound to eat with all walks of people from local celebrities to common residents. One night I saw a $400,000 Porsche Carrera GT parked right out front; it was crazy. The food is what you typically expect although Id suggest getting the 2/2/2/2 pancake breakfast. I consider this place more a late night novelty so dont worry too much about the service.

THE CHICKEN SOUP WAS SO NASTY. I TOOK ONE BITE AND GAVE THE SERVER BACK THE BOWL. THE ONLY THING THAT I COULD FORCE DOWN WAS THE DRY AND COTTONY TASTING MASHED POTATOES, AND EVEN THAT WAS HARD TO DO. I ALSO CANT BELIEVE THAT THEY MADE ME PAY FOR THE ONE BITE OF SOUP THAT I TOOK, THEN SPAT UP. I WAS COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED, AND WILL NEVER WILLINGLY EAT THERE AGAIN. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS RESTAURANT.

It seems this spot is very popular with the after party crowd. I got there around 3:30am on a Sunday morning and it was very near packed. For this reason I will allow the fact that we waited for quite a while before the server came to our table and also forgot some of the things that we ordered. But our server was kind and courteous although she seemed very overwhelmed. Im willing to give it a second chance.
