Ive been here twice. The first time the service was so bad, we ended up leaving before placing our order. The second time, we ordered and ate our food. This place has the open 24 hour thing going for it, but thats about it. The food and prices werent too bad, but the service and environment were lacking. It also has smelled of sewer water both times Ive been there. Id recommend getting this food to-go if you are looking for a bite to eat at 3AM after the bars.

This 24-hour diner is a must-stop for me on early-morning hangovers. My go-to order is the Southern Special, a generous helping of eggs, biscuits, and sausage gravy. At $8 or $9, you really cant go wrong. If you have a large order (like picking up hangover breakfast after a party), call ahead and theyll have it waiting.

Great diner food. The owners are super nice and joke around with you. Limited seating, all if it right up on the counter with food made right in front of you. Theyre open 24/7, which is unfortunately rare in Chicago, so take advantage of that. Its a great place to go after hitting up the bars.

This is a small restaurant but it looks vintage. They still have the old fashioned stools with the counter to eat on. They did just updated some stuff like adding the ability to use debt/credit cards. This snack shop will also make you feel like youre apart of their family.

15.96 for a Denver omelet with hash browns OBrien and a side of corn beef hash is extremely over priced and to get burned food never again if I can give negative 5 Stars I would. And not to mention the place is run-down and absolute grease pit.GARBAGE!

Compared to modern grill on Belmont and Halsted... The Belmont Snack Shop is a palace! Friendly, polite and nice service with food thats cooked to order the way I asked for it to be cooked... just cant be beat! Tasty and awesome! I love it!

This place is off the chain! I cannot just walk past this place with an empty stomach! Meatloaf sandwich or the Reuben is the go to! awesome breakfast as well. Awesome hospitality! Gotta try the brownies!!

Patty melt and mashed potatoes!! Open 24 hours which is a plus. Only take cash but they have an ATM. Also have parking in rear. Great affordable prices and you get to see how your food is cooked.

Great place to enjoy coffee and homemade pie while getting my stereo installer at Best Buy. Open 24/7 with typical breakfast and dinner meals on the menu. They do take Visa/MC now.
