The first thing you see when you walk into Dappers is the wonderful dessert case. Its like seeing a trailer for the Empire Strikes Back before you even watch A New Hope. You kind of have to ignore it or else youll be staring at it like Hypnotoad is embedded in the tiramisu. Dappers has been around for a while. When I lived in Addison it was one of the go-to places in order to avoid hanging with chain smoking goths at Dennys. Back then it was a greasy family restaurant, but after it was made over it looks pretty classy. The menu is pretty huge. I only ever used to go to Dappers for breakfast. They have great french toast and the coffee is of the Kona blend. A great way to start the day. Admittedly Ive only been here for anything but breakfast once. I ordered a BLT, which came with some some fat cut french fries and a bowl of potato soup. You cant really screw up a BLT... actually yes you can. But Dappers doesnt, which earns it an endorsement from myself. Theres no dessert menu at Dappers. Instead you just mosy on over to the case and take a look at the large selection of pie and cake and pastries. Last time I was here on Pi-day so I had to go with the pie. I went with coconut cream and got another slice to go (i.e. dessert for my girlfriend).

The food is awesome. Salmon with vegetables, and baked potato, with sour cream and salt is really good. It is healthy for kids and adults. Appetizer bread and butter. Dessert is included with the meal. For adults cake and for kids ice-cream. The salmon is well cooked, medium cooked, or however you want it. The meal either comes with rice soup or salad. The potato is hot and delicious with sour cream and salt. The vegetables are cooked or either raw but not bad. Try the cake choose which ever you want. Chocolate Cake is the best of all of them but you could get Jello. For kids is ice-cream not cake but possibly Jello. I really recommend going there. It is better than other restaurants. They clean it well enough and have good service. They include the dessert which is the best. I will really return back here.

A good brunch locale which has a lengthy menu. Eggs Benedict were whelming, yet the hollandaise sauce was far too. Lox and Bagel were quite good, but the loads of raw veggies made me feel as if I ordered a large salad. Anyway, Dappers is a good eatery. I would return, but wouldnt go out of my way to make reservations. Dappers East 3/5 stars. Revisited Dappers to give a second chance. Unfortunately did not change my expectations. This time around my order was severed piping on the outside but cold at the center. There is only one piece of equipment that does such a thing and I only use it for left overs. At least the service was Outstanding! 2.5/5

I love Dappers. It is within easy walking distance from my home and we eat there with great regularity. The staff is WONDERFUL and the food is very good at reasonable prices. I am quite disturbed that they are changing their hours (new hours 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.). I realize times are tough, but to completely cut out the evening dinner hour is going to make a large difference in personel and less convenience for patrons. Although most of my meals there are breakfast and lunch I do enjoy being able to enjoy and occasional quick dinner there. Anyone reading this, please let your feelings become known to the owner - Deno Sradopoulos.

I went here specifically for their Cabage soup but when we sat down to eat I soon found out they were all out. Yari the waitress went to the back and got the little bit that was left and brought it out not to mention they did not charge me for it (which I would have not mind at all if they did.) the point here is the waitress made the effort to satisfy her customer and did a fantastic job doing so. You have to recognize good service when it is due.

Its a Wonderful restaurant, the owner and staff are Excellent in what they do. What do they do you ask, they treat you like family, all the people that come to eat here may not know each other but its the same people all the time just like one big happy family. Its a diner restaurant out of the seventies, excellent food, polite staff and prices are reasonable. If you get a chance you should stop in if you dont well thats your loss.

Dappers is the best dinner I have ever been to in my life. I walked in with only 5 bucks and the owner told me dont worry about it and when I got my chicken parm with a free dessert and side salad she didnt even make me pay for it. The are the most loving people you could ever meet in a lifetime. I gave the 5 stars because of the excellent service that was given to me and I am truly grateful for what they did for me.

Great Diner atmosphere, Good music and Food. Generous portions, friendly hostess and great waitresses. Ive been coming here for over 20yrs. And I have Never had a bad meal. Most of the time, theres too much food. And dont forget desert from the desert case. A throwback to when diners were diners........ If you havent been there You should try it. ....youll like It......

Not the best experience. Cod had weird texture. Salad served with it was not the freshest. Service could be better. Definetly stay away from "big dumpling soup" called mata or something. I went to location in Addison for breakfast many times which was great. This lunch in Chicago location was definetly a poor choice.

The omlett was raw, the waitress was mad I sent it back and I had to argue with the owner who took only four dollars off my check. By the time my replacement food came which I also was charged for, my family was done and I was too shy to make them wait. Really...ewww

Classic Greek Family restaurant. Pages full of delicious entrees and enough to fill up the hungriest of your group. Hospitable service and short wait times for your food. Of course, a picturesque dessert display greets you on the way in. Parking was ample.

Been coming here since it opened so many years ago. Same owners, same good food. Great shopping area, lots of parking, has been this way for many years, my grandchildren always want to eat here, even tho they moved from the area years ago.

I enjoy going to Dappers for lunch. The staff is great. Id really be impressed if they finally installed a baby changing table in the mens room. Occassionally, I do take the kids with me for breakfast when my wife isnt able to come with.

The food is always fresh and the waiters are so polite and friendly . We return often for great food and nice friendly people. I would highly recommend this place often. Good location and easy parking in the parking lot. Enjoy .
