C.C. Ferns is essentially a near carbon copy of Hogsalts other coffee joints with a retro interior, old fashioned doughnuts by Doughnut Vault. Its a decent space, with a steady stream of customers. Good quality espressos and artful pours per the usual experience. They also sell cigars, but sadly, theres no cigar lounge (unless its there and secret and Im not cool enough to be in the know). They accept mobile wallets like Android Pay and Apple Pay, making it extra convenient.

I prefer regular coffee and their strong drip coffee was very good without a very bitter taste that some small coffee shops tend to have. My wife had their iced Chai (which only comes in 16oz) and said it was probably the best one she has ever tasted. Its a very relaxing atmosphere and comforting place! We only had an interaction with 2 baristas and both were friendly.

Ive been to most every coffee house in the city, and a decent house in almost every city I visit. C.C. Ferns has consistently the best straight latte Ive had anywhere. A little pricey, but Ill take a 15% premium every time in exchange for knowing that perfection is in the cup Im holding.

One of the best coffee experience Ive had in recent memory. Beautiful attention to details, great floor, old tin ceiling. Best vibe without Edison bulbs and IKEA. The coffee was amazing - I had a Cuban cortado it was excellent. I dont normally go for sweet but it was perfect.

A gem in Humboldt Park. An absolute slice of hipster chic in the Humboldt hood. You gotta go a bit far out but youre rewarded with some nice espresso drinks, boozy steamed milk if you please, cigars, and donuts from the Doughnut Vault. Hard to beat such a hip hangout.

Interesting coffee shop near Humboldt Park. Old school atmosphere with some fancy boozy cocktails and your staples. They serve up doughnut vault old fashioned donuts so make sure to grab one to enjoy alongside your cocktail, or coffee! ;) Friendly staff.
