Stopped in here for a treat after lunch. I had a scoop of stracciatella gelato and an espresso. Loved the atmosphere, check out the ceiling! The barista was kind and helpful. When I was there, there were a couple guys with laptops at different tables, a mother with a group of kids, a woman in a suit, and a couple in the window...basically this place is popular with everyone. The gelato was fantastic, the espresso was good. But its gelato and espresso, so hey Im not complaining! Ill remember this next time Im in Evanston.

Its hard to find a really good independent coffee shop in the northern suburbs. Linz and Vail makes a good effort, but they ultimately fall short. While they serve excellent Intelligentsia coffee, Ive had cappuccinos with the milk overfoamed. The gelato is quite like the old country, either. Its a nice place on the Central St. corridor, but like most establishments there, its not something you would make a priority in visiting.

A nice addition to the collection of the stores on Central Street. The quality of the beans server here are top notch, but I dont think the baristas give it the care they deserve at times. The Gelato is good and a great quick dessert for a Friday/Saturday dinner with the family or at a friends house.

Great little coffee shop in northern Evanston. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good selection of intelligentsia coffee, as well as other hot drinks. Their seasonal specials are something to look out for too. They also have a selection of gelato, which are usually very good. Highly recommend.

This shop serves the renowned Intelligentsia Coffee, and they brew it up surprisingly well. My cup was fresh, and flavorful. Nice semi-grungy / sheek decor. A great independent shop...possibly underestimated.

Oh well. I love their gelato and to me it tastes just fantastic. Its always a destination on the weekend for our family. I have recommended Linz and Vail and will do so in the future. Great gelato!

Just what you hope an independent espresso bar would be. High quality Intelligencia coffee, great pastries, sandwiches and the bed gelato in town. Relaxed atmosphere and great service.

Good coffee thats not too expensive with several vegan offerings. Kind of noisy for doing homework, but a nice vibe/aesthetic and interesting menu options like cardamom rose latte.

By far, this the best espresso I had in Evanston. They are proffessionals both in teh coffee selection and teh preparation. I haev never had a better coffee in USA.
