About 5 months ago, this wouldve been a 5-star rating, but we went on a Saturday night and didnt have the best experience. The food has always been superb along with the service. But, on a Saturday night, things were less than stellar. We had reservations (for 4) for 8. We were there at 7:50, watched others seated before us, and werent seated until 8:15. Our waitress was friendly, but not very attentive (which is unusual). We had to get her attention to order drinks, food, get bread, etc. (again, very unusual for here), and at the end of the night, we were charged for every seltzer water we had ($3/ fill). I know it sounds cheap, but it was the principle of it. Disappointed, but well be going back during the week when we normally do so that we can (hopefully) fall in love again.

It was very good and the service was friendly. My only reasons for marking it down a bit were: 1) The escargot and steak and frites were heavy on the garlic for my taste. Yes, those are both garlic dishes but I thought they overdid it a bit. 2) The service was a bit slow, especially for the restaurant being fairly light on customers while we were there. (Admittedly, the restaurant may have adjusted staffing accordingly.) That was not terrible and a leisurely meal is in the spirit of the restaurant. However, the "bottomless" mussels special effectively was not because by the time the server came over for a possible refill, we had lost interest.

I love this bistro for its atmosphere and location as much as for its food and drink! It is quaint and unassuming. And Lincoln Square is a great hood, known for its eclectic residents and openness to all. Just cannot go wrong with anything here. Plus you have Old Town Folk, a branch of the library and the Brown Line to get you anywhere!! And Wells Park, where you can watch the kiddies play b-ball and pick up a Snow Cone--LOVE IT!!

Having been raised in France, I sometimes crave classic bistro fare. However, this place confuses classics with cliches. There is absolutely nothing creative to the menu: sort of a Bennigans with a French twist. Most boorish was the cattiness of the pseudo-hipster manager (even the crankiest of French waiters would not comment on the age of a customer). If you are easily impressed, this may be the place for you.

Once or twice a year, when the weather is fine and the outdoor space has room, this is the spot I drink French cider out of a teacup and eat pesto Escargot with fresh baguettes. It transports me away from this busy Lincoln Ave. neighborhood to a rustic café in Paris... well possibly, Im not sure, Ive never been to France. But it makes me feel like I could be that cultured which is well worth the price tag.

Consistent traditional French food. The chicken is always done perfectly. Adorable outdoor patio but the indoor spot is also nice. Get the mussels and frites, very underappreciated, may be the best in the city. My brother got a second order after we just shared one. Good place for a semi-casual dinner or a romantic special occasion. Active friendly staff.

Very good authentic french restaurant thats located in the heart of lincoln square. The food especially the duck is excellent. The price is reasonable and you pay for what you get. : Very good food, great decor and great service. To top all that they have a wide variety if craft beers from all the over world. Cant get better than that !. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to have a lovely meal with friends or on a date. I especially love Bistro Campagne for Brunch. If the weather is fair and you can sit outside, it is especially beautiful. Their garden space is beautiful and hidden from Lincoln. Every detail is interior is beautiful! Id add an extra star if I could for Mussels Tuesdays!

An elegant atmosphere joins a solid selection of French classics utilizing local ingredients. Rustic touches like bread served right on the table with a generous pat of butter and accompanying cocktails for the variety of dishes makes this neighborhood bistro a city destination.

Best brunch in the city, and I dont say that lightly. The steak and eggs is to die for and I order it every time, never disappoints. Great outdoor patio, very nice and quiet, even when a street festival was going on. Attentive and friendly staff.

Very nice ambience and great food. Their prix fixe menu has amazing selections and the portions were enormous! Steak tar tar was also very good. Would come again, especially with the prix fixe menu and the quality of the food.

Love the atmosphere, especially in the summer when you can sit in the concealed courtyard. The food is decent to very good...not the best French restaurant in town.
