I came here because my florist recommend for me to check out this bakery for my wedding. What an AWFUL and RUDE experience. I will NEVER go here again. The manager was speaking with a couple already about their wedding, which was okay. While I was waiting, I decided to get a cup cake to check it out. First off, the cup cake was dry and there was something in my cupcake! EW! I am not sure what it was, but it did not belong in there. Then, when the manager is done speaking with the couple she completely IGNORES me and doesnt even come over to say hi. The nice gentleman that was working, came over and took my information down because in order for me to meet with the manager to discuss my wedding I had to make an appointment. Make an appointment?! All I wanted was for you to tell me about your wedding cakes and cup cakes. So I gave my phone number and the manager did not call until TWO WEEKS later! The phone call was very unprofessional and she did not seem interested in me being a potential client. I will NEVER step foot into this bakery again.

While I have always loved the Sweet Indulgence Bakery and bought many baked goods from this establishment, I must share that my family and I were very, very disappointed in the recent fruit pie we purchased for Thanksgiving. When we cut into the peach crumb pie, there literally was an extremely thin layer of fruit filling, not even enough to call it a pie. Even guests eating the pie complained and wanted to know where this was purchased and how much we had paid for it. We decided to contact the owner thinking she might be interested in the feedback, even though it was negative (but polite in doing so). Much to our dismay, when we called and shared our experience and dissatisfaction, the owner was extremely defensive, not receptive to the comments about the pie which we had paid $20 for, and told me I could go back to the Curtis Apple Orchard to buy my future pies! Definitely not good business practice!

I have enjoyed many of the baked goods from Sweet Indulgence. All stupid good. But today I stopped for lunch and I just had the best roast beef sandwich of my life. Fresh baked bread, with a side of home made slaw. Also fruit and cookies. For the $US 10 that I might have spent for drive-thru regret, instead I savored a wonderful lunch. Served up by smiling, pleasant staff. Ok, it doesnt hurt that the staff were pretty women. To date, I have dined on five continents; lunchwise, this is in my top ten.

Tried this place for a 2nd time today. Unfortunately I wont be back. The cupcakes were "made fresh" but dry & crumbly. And the customer service was equally dry-lets upsale the products, please. I love cupcakes & treating my Staff & co-workers but for now, I dont mind ordering them online from Sprinkles. Sorry Sweet Indulgence, your customer service & cupcakes are way too stale & dry. Definitely not the best in central illinois.

Ive enjoyed most things Ive bought from here. But I purchased a 3 layer carrot cake that by the way was really expensive and the cake had no cake in it. Imagine my surprise to see 3-4 layers of thick cream cheese icing with slivers of cake so thin, it was like a pancake. Why would anyone do that and then charge almost $40 for that cake? Very, very disappointed in Sweet Indulgence.

Poor customer service. The price on the item I purchased differed from the price the employee rang up. Noticed this after I paid. When I asked for the difference back, the employee insisted that the posted price was wrong, and wouldnt be told otherwise. After we went back and forth a few times, she gave me a dirty look and refunded the difference out of the "tip jar".

Usually I am not a fan of fancy sugar cookies with boiled icing because they typically are hard and dont taste but this was NOT the case! Their sugar cookies were not only adorable but delicious. They are a little on the high price side but have deals on a dozen. I bought them for my class and they were a hit! I will defiantly go back!
