I purchased $45 worth of gas here on my debit card, I payed at the pump and they charged my card $100. I know that sometimes it takes about 24 hours to get the hold on your money back, but it has been 3 days and I still have not received the $55 into my account. I called the customer service number and they bounced me back and forth between several numbers and no one seemed to know how to help and were very rude. Customer service at this place is a complete waste of time. Unfriendly and very unhelpful. I even contacted the corporate office and they were NO HELP AT ALL. I will not be revisiting this store again!

I go here frequently, and for the most part I like shopping here. However it can be really difficult to get a cashiers attention, even if youre standing right in front of them because theyre often having conversations which continue while their next customer is there. Similar if you check yourself out and wind up with something that doesnt scan. Ive waited minutes before when I was the only person using self check out because the attendant was having a detailed conversation that apparently they couldnt stop.

I hope after the coming crash & burn these idiots get bought out by a well managed bunch, like Hy Vee. The management is so poor that during the Bush crash, when nobody has money, they have way too much inventory and keep adding to it. Then during recovery, when people have a little money, Meijer has empty shelves and jacked up prices. I walked around the store today and purchased absolutely nothing, because they had virtually none of the items I used to normally buy.

I happened to be standing in one of the famously long Meijer checkout lines, so I figured Id post a review. The prices are second to none, and the selection is more than sufficient. Despite how big the store is, I dont mind coming g here for grocery shopping. The biggest complaint would be the aforementioned checkout lines. Management lacks either the staff or the proactiveness to add more lines when they start to get long. Come at an off-peak time.

Cashiers are terrible at making sure customers get all their items/bags. They will hold some items on the spinning-bag-thing until your card goes through, at which point they spin the remainder of your items to you. Well multiple times they havent give me all my bags! Wen youre shopping for the week, its hard to keep track of everything... It should not be my job to make sure I have everything before I leave the store. Train the cashiers better.

Prices are good shopping wz fine but as with most stores there wz not enough cashiers. People got discussed with the extremely LONG they left carts n carts of to be purchased items and left them in the check out lanes then a lot of employees had to spend the time of sorting them out and putting them back more of this then checkout help available its a shame to have this problem when it could be avoided

I really enjoy shopping at the Meijer - all of the interactions Ive had with staff/asking for help have been extremely positive and they have pretty competitive prices. The only reason that I am giving the store 4 stars is that I have made the mistake of not checking expiration dates and have purchased expired food - so MORAL OF THE STORY is make sure that you check your expiration dates!

Extremely incompetent deli area. You stand around for ten minutes while employees talk to each other and make you wait. Then when they finally want to pretend to help you, they claim they cant because their machine is busy when no one had been using it for the whole time they were chatting. Lost a customer here on the first visit. Wont be trying this place again.

A pretty nice place to shop. I go here to do all my shopping. Everything is within reasonable price, and the place is well organized and clean. The only thing that could change is the employees could be a little more helpful. It may also be a little understaffed as well because its always hard to find an employee, forcing you to go to the registers.

They dont honor their posted return policy. The "customer service" person has absolutely no personal skill set, cant make a decision, cant even look you in the eye. Maybe an OK place to shop for consumables, but if they sell defective items and wont take them back for an exchange, dont ever buy anything there that you might want to actually use.

I get tired of signing up for various cards at different grocery stores in order to get the sale price, so its very refreshing to find a store that doesnt waste my time! If I have to complain about something, their checkout lines can be slow... But compared to other stores, its neither better or worse for checkout speed.

Make sure to count (on the spot) the change or refund money that they give you; they may be able to count to three, but they can not count up to thirty-three. Also, if they are wrong, they will not admit it--evidence and facts means nothing--them being, in their minds, correct, is what is most important.

The staff was really friendly and the place seemed clean. The only problem was that the lines seemed to take forever because (it seemed) that the cashiers were not very good at what they were doing. I am guessing this goes back to proper training. Long lines, otherwise it is an okay place to go.

5 oclock on a work night and only two cashiers working out of 18 lanes. Yeah, self scan lanes are open, but the last thing I want to do after working all day is scan and bag a cart full of groceries. I get that you are cutting back on labor, but then give me a discount to cover my labor!!!

They have fair prices. I find the produce to be underwhelming in terms of freshness usually. The Meijers bucks or points that you receive with almost every purchase arent really useful ($1 off a $20 produce purchase? Oh boy.) But it is convenient and the selection is nice.

Usually well stocked compared to other stores. Always have great sales going on. Often not enough check outs open, aisles are frequently narrowed by large carts used by employees stocking shelves making them hard to get down. Still prefer here more than other large stores.

Meh, its just Walmart with a different name. There are never enough manned checkout stations running so we wound up using the barely functioning self-checkout kiosks a couple times in a row. For the price, Ill stay closer to home and go to Schnucks for my grocery shopping.

Why does this Meijer have the weirdest layout ever? Seriously, you have to crisscross the entire store to find what you need. Oreos? Probably near the tires. Cereal? Over by crafts and paint. Seriously, theres no rhyme or reason to the location of stuff here.

The mobility carts were not charged and only one available. I had to leave because I could not trust it to continue. I could have spent much more money. Meijer....old people who cant walk mega stores can only shop if you have carts to assist us.
