OK. Let me start by the environment. Its crowded and congested seating arrangement and very warm temperature of the restaurant. But its worth it once you see the fast and efficient service and extremely tasty breakfast. I ordered Portobello Benedict. It was one of the best breakfast I had. Will definitely come again.

Fantastic unassuming diner just south of downtown Barrington. Food is great made to order with large portions. Excellent coffee. I found the wait staff to be extremely enjoyable and very attentive. Sit at the counter if youre there alone.

I love a unique breakfast! The Mayan Chicken Tikka Benedict on a crisoy tostada with mango salsa and balsamic drizzle was phenomenal. Also, like that there was nothing pretentious about the place. Typical, authentic diner joint.

We had a catered dinner at our home for 50 people. Pulled pork, salads, mac and cheese, desserts, and fruit. It was fantastic. Visiting family from all around the country raved about the food. We cant say enough about the Canteen.

One of the best breakfast places Ive been to in my entire life! The food and the service was outstanding! Might be a little pricey but is well worth it. The staff are superb and very welcoming. My wife and I really enjoyed it.

Just plain old good, stick to your ribs food! They have lighter options too! Be sure to check out the slow smoked brisket. Yes, I said smoked brisket. My favorite in the area. Their breakfast menu is a notable mention also!
