Update 7-26-17: Changed rating from 3 stars to 1 star. This location has gone so far downhill in the last 4 years. It has changed owners and I think all the regular customers were hopefully it would bring improvements. Instead it has done the complete opposite. Food and drinks are rarely made correctly. The manager will immediately snap at you when you have an issue with you food or drink. The carhop walk around in filthy dirty ice cream coated shirts that are disgusting enough to turn your stomach. They dont give refunds on incorrect orders. Only store credits. Please fire the entire staff and start over! Original Review:The service is very inconsistent. The food is generally very good. The carhops are mostly friendly but the nearly naked booty shorts they wear are way to provocative for a teenage girl. I only frequent this location if I have NO other options. This isnt Hooters, so please put some clothes on girls. $8 an hour is not worth demeaning yourself.

This hurts to say but my trip to this Sonic location was an utmost disappointment. My brother ordered a number 2 combo as well as an order of mozzarella sticks. It says on their menu that their combos include an entree, a side of fries or tots with a soft drink. When we received our order my brother had his cheeseburger, soft drink and mozzarella stick but no fries. Assuming this wouldnt be an issue we pushed the button to call inside and tell them that the fries were missing. When we spoke to the manager inside he said that we had never ordered fries and only mozzarella sticks and refused to give them to us despite the fact that a combo comes with fries and we had paid for them as well as paying for mozzarella sticks. Not only had they been rude, belittling and had a lack of customer service but we never did got our fries. This management staff needs to really rethink their attitudes towards their customers and how they operate this location.

Ive only done Sonic a handful of times and its because its only okay at best. I think theres much better burgers out there.... especially for the prices. Midday Sunday @ lunchtime, the place was not busy.... service was fast, fries were Luke warm. Would prefer fresh which for the money we pay for junk food they should be.... how to move fast food joint on the planet that doesnt send you cold fries once in a while. Burger was fresh, flavored frozen lemonade was good. I give them 3 stars just because its basically average. Didnt have bad service other than the disappointment in the fries. There is a slight bonus for the drive-up service cuz I do like that if I want to continue to listen to a game or something like that...

GROSS. Went to Sonic in Algonquin tonight. The guy working the drive thru used his bare hands to put nuts and cherries on our ice cream sundaes and proceeded to wipe his hands on his shirt before handling the money. Even if other employees there have better food safety habits, at least we know the nuts and cherries are contaminated. I hope its not a common practice there, but I know I will probably never go there again.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Their drive thru is ridiculously slow. Definitely not "fast" food!! I keep going back thinking maybe things have improved, and every time I am disappointed. If you feel like waiting 20 minutes for food then Sonic is the place for you! If not, theres Wendys, Panera, Burger King, and McDonalds less than 2 minutes away. Save yourself the headache and go to one of those instead.

As the other reviews state, this place is ridiculously slow. I rarely come here; however, I come back every once and awhile thinking that things improved. For being fast food, this is a joke. Could have gone to a sit down restaurant. Got a ticket for a free drink this time for the wait... will not be coming back to use it.

Go here for the beverages! They have great happy hour deals usually going on. Their limeaids are fantastic and you can mix them with any other flavors you want. And they have the BEST ice! For my fellow ice lovers, you know good ice when you see it and this is it. (And you can buy it in 5 pound bags to take home too) :)

Disappointed this is the only location near us. Service is usually always poor, I feel like the employees are busier goofing around with each other than working. Orders are usually either missing an item or the food seems like it has been sitting out for a while. Not worth the money at this particular location

My husband and I have literally sat in the drive through line for coming up on 30min. The people parked are getting food out faster than the drive through is going. Seriously?! We ended up waiting until we could leave out of the line and went to McDonalds! What a terrible system they have here!

It is Sonic, just like every other Sonic. Decent burgers, chicken fingers, etc. tater tots are pretty good as well as ice cream treats. Favorite is the pineapple cream slush. Try it. Service is ok. Sometimes a little slow.

The food wad great, the server could have had a bit more of a smiley attitude but hay if I was working outside in 100 degree weather I guess I would be the same. Overall: GREAT PLACE.

I drove into one of the car hop spots. You order through a speaker and they bring the food to your car. Just like the old car hope places from the 50s.The foot long dog was great.

Ordered a Dr. Pepper w/ a cherry, and it usually doesnt come with a cherry, so I asked for one, and was told that it comes with one. Got my Dr. Pepper... With no damn cherry!!!!!!!

My wife and I love the chili cheese tater tots. The shakes/malts are great and I also really enjoy the lime-aids. Staff has always been friendly and I like the new menu displays.

My wife and I are Dog N Suds drive in fans. We went to the Algonquin Sonic and I really liked their Chicago Dog. The roller skate thing is cool.

If it wasnt the only Sonic in the area, it would not be as popular. Definitely better quality food from Sonics in the south.
