I dont know what James experienced. My family and I ate there for dinner our salads were not wilted matter of fact they were Ice could and very crisp. My father ordered the Ham Steak dinner and we are pretty sure it was half the hog along with Hash browns and corn. My mom ordered the Finger steak dinner along with a baked potatoes and corn (the vegetable of the day). I ordered Chicken Stripes Dinner and their cheesy fries along with the vegetable. We all ended up taking what was left of our meals home with us. We did not get a chance to try their pies but their peach cobbler is delicious. Their dinner rolls that come with the dinner meals are amazing they melt in your mouth. You dont need to add butter to these either. Our waitress was very kind and funny. She was great. We will defiantly be giving them our business if we are in the area again.

I got charged fifty cents for my to-go water, and the woman acted like it was a favor because she didnt also charge me for the small container for bacon. The more I thought about this, the more absurd I realized it was. Ive taken both food and drink in to-go containers in the past, and NEVER been charged. The only difference this time was that it was to-go from the start. So... theres a fee because they DIDNT have to wash dishes or wipe down the counter? Ive eaten there numerous times, but apparently my business is less appreciated than it would be at a chain restaurant - so thats where Ill go the next time Im in the area and want some breakfast food. The suddenly strict styrofoam policy just cost the Wayside a customer.

I just had the worst experience here. My son was sitting in his chair playing, he wasnt overly loud as loud as any 5 year old. One of the waitresses without any provocation comes to my 5 year old and tells him he needs to be quiet because people are trying to have conversations. He got embarassed and stopped talking for a bit, when he started talking again she gave him a dirty look the whole time. Apparently this isnt a family friendly restaurant. I have been coming here for somewhere around 20 years and I will NEVER come back. Mind you this whole time not one person said anything about my son being too loud, she took it upon herself to embarrass a 5 year old and shame him in public. Shame on you lady.

This place rocks! Its been in business longer than I have been alive!! Lori the manager and co-owner is a wonderful and caring person, I could bet that u could walk in those doors and do a silent survey about her and u might just retract your rude comments!! I personally worked there throughout high school and I have never been told by anyone in those 4 years that Lori was anything than amazing!! The crew and the owners make sure that everyone enjoys there meal and time there!! Im guessing you (angry) customer must just be a hard person to please. Lori is right she has earned the awards she has been given, and there is a list!! Along with the Wayside so buck up and retract your more than rude review!!

The service was quite personable and ultimately enjoyable. The food was authentic and down-home in the highest degree. I had the daily special (a classic and favorite of mine) - Chicken Fried Steak - and I am pleased to report that the food felt as if it was cooked by a chef straight from the 40s. I found it wonderfully authentic with a flavor that spoke to "Grandmas cooking back on the ranch." The dessert that came with my meal (a blueberry cake with some sort of buttercream frosting) held itself to the same standard and was delightful as well. Note: if you plan on eating here, it will most likely be a "lets put some meat on those bones" experience.

Wow do stop here. Food just so good melts in your mounth. Local hang out, they know were the good food is. OPEN 24/7. TruckerS welcome with lots of parking. Sexy waitresses. Deserts just to die for. Daily specials full menu along with kids menu. Drown you with coffee. Your lost if you do not stop. Prices VERY good give you lots of food. Plan for nap after you eat. Should of named the resturant mum mum good. BETTER THAN YOUR OWN MOMS COOKING.

Sat at table for 20 min waiting to be served. Worst place to stop on the interstate. Ended up just walking out. Every One to worried about socialising then taking care of customers. Will move on down the road to better places. Not recommending this place to any one !!! Not even worth stopping to take a dump. Go to the loves across the way to interstate. Giving this place a zero!!

Went for Sunday Prime Rib The Salad was wilted. No bake potatos at 4:30pm Prime Rib over Cooked ordered it rare came Med Well In the Horseradish Sauce there was hair not just one or two but lots in both mine and my wifes. Didnt even eat 1/8 of meal still was charged after showing the waitress We will not be back (Called Health Department)

The service is not very good. My order is always taken 20 minutes after I get there and I end up waiting for my food for another 20-30 minutes. Lori Bird is a bad manager why anybody would give her best waitress in the mini cassia area is beyond me. But the owners are very nice people who deserve better employees than what they have.

Its okay depending on which cook or waitress u get its a truck stop,coffee price was $3 for 2cups of coffee with our meal meal prices around $10..great chicken fried steaks and homemade fries, biscuits and gravey good some days if u get there before all the sausage is gone...Its a truckstop open 24/7 so I can always get a meal

That guy that is bad mouthing Lori is just a jerk and dont know what he is talking about. Lori bird thank you for everything u have done for me.. I love you

Exactly what I was looking for, a roadside diner. The crowd inside looked a bit odd but who cares. The food was soooo good. I got the chicked fried steak and my buddy got the veal. Two huge portions that were werent able to finish for $18, cant beat that. I will be coming back to this place forsure.

Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The diner was very clean and welcoming. The portions were huge and I believe that they were underpriced to be honest. The food was amazing. We could not have asked for better service or a better breakfast. Kudos to this place.

Salad was a boring bowl of old lettuce, no cheese, no tomatoes or rolls.....Texas Roadhouse is better. Prime rib overcooked, but not overseasoned. Pineapple cake tasted good, however was covered with over sweet, gritty with sugar frosting. Waitress was prompt and polite.

I could write a book on my visit to this restaurant. I will instead use exclamation marks. Do not pass this place up!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 stars on freshness, portion size, flavor, menu selections and the nicest waitress ever. You will not leave hungry.
