I went into Hughes around 7:30 pm on Valentines day with my girlfriend. We had a reservation so upon our arrival we were seated immediately(in the corner of a room, with barely enough room to sit) by a polite young hostess. The room is about the size of a standard bedroom except it is crammed with 4 chairs to each of the 4 tables in the room. We began this calamity with a couple appetizers, mozzarella sticks and wings. Both unusually warm, but very good. Next was the main course. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine Alfredo pasta which was delicious. I ordered a medium sirloin, mash potatoes, and the soup of the day. My mash potatoes were luke warm, and the soup of the day is best compared to the highly watered down cabbage stew in “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory”. The steak was extremely bland, when I say “extremely”, I am not exaggerating. It had no smell, no taste, and was awfully tough. The though that immediately proceeded the first bite of my steak was “They must have a bunch of teenagers working in the kitchen”. However, the Lime Ricky I ordered was sharp and refreshing. Background music was modern, that equivalent to 97.1 or 99.5. Environment was modern as well. A cross between a sports bar and a updated Rickenbackers. Our table was sticky, wet and wobbly. 2nd time weve been there and it was the same both times. First time we went was right after they opened. We sat outside and i think they forgot about us. The food was ok, but the whole dinner experience took forever and it was only 2 of us. We thought we would give it a second chance. Today, The place was not busy and we were completely ignored. We were seated and waited 15 minutes and no one came to give us water or talk to us. So we left.

Chic decor. Nice staff. But when the food comes out I find myself questioning the meaning of life. Or at least, whats happening in the kitchen. Examples; Had really super crispy salmon and the potatoes had sat out and hardened on the top. It was okay-ish. Went again and the mozzarella sticks were mashed into one giant breaded cheese rectangle. They tasted good, but even Arbys can do this right...?

Amazing drinks! I especially like the complimentary beer batter bread before dinner arrived. Lots of delicious food, been here several times and still feel like I get to try new Dishes. Its a neighborhood favorite so I recommend making a reservation. Kind of funky decor, but a home style feel. Very comfortable and fun with attentive servers. Recommend coming here often.

Dinner portion on the fish was weak. Taste was off a bit. My 2nd time there. Bread a plus and cookies. Disappointed in service. Water was only filled once. Vegies were good but chopped way too small. Not something i would love taking a family member from out of state too. They need more help. Fine dinning wanna be but in wrong market.

"This cafe is poorly manager I dont even give them to the end of the year before they close their doors. Food is terrible and customer service is a joke. Getting too busy which had caused quality to suffer. Not one to send things back but food had a few issues. Kind of turned off from this place for now. Strike 2, or maybe 3, for me. But.. love the location in Ogden...never had an issue with food or otherwise. Eat at the Ogden location frequently.

Really nice place and good atmosphere. The boneless ribs were very plain though. It tasted like the only seasoning was the bbq sauce. The sandwiches looked very good though. The server seemed like he was very new and was unsure whether to refill out glasses or take used plates away or not.

The place is clean, nice and the service was good. The food on the other hand, was a let down. I expected a home made type menu but its actually more of a pre packaged sysco food service menu. 5 out of 5 people at our table hated their food. Bummer, we wanted to like this place too.

Was pretty impressed with this place. Service was pretty slow and not too great, but the food was great. I ordered the wings as an entree and thought it was good. The others with me enjoyed their meals as well. I was surprised by how expensive it was, but I would probably return.

Great food! Especially their burgers and bread! We had a mix up with payment and a little misunderstanding but they were quick to respond and fix the error. They were cool about the whole thing. Even sent us a gift card for the trouble. Good customer service Thank you!

The food is Fantastic especially the warm potpourri salad its been a family favorite for several years. So happy to have one in Syracuse & for the new items. The staff is always kind & helpful. Only had one semi negative experience with a forgetful waitress.

Food is great. ...service not so much. The waitress dumped my husbands fries into his lap while handing him his lunch and didnt apologize or anything. Just said "slippery plates huh"? Not a big deal just unprofessional

Hug-Hes Summer Salad is a favorite of ours (my wife and I share it, just ask for double the chicken-at a small extra cost-and youll be impressed!). When the weather allows, eat on their patio for a special treat!
