Excellent food, true Mexican comfort food. Very much like my food experiences in Old Mexico. I think some people will expect a lot more spice, but that is more southwest than Mexican. Most dishes have a cheese, chicken, pork or beef option and the sauces are all savory without being loaded down with capsicum just to cover the Mexican claim. Those that dont like it because they claim it isnt authentic are probably mixing this kind of food with southwest style, or some American cannibalized style of Mexican, which is no more authentic than Taco Bell. The wait staff is always very efficient and friendly, maybe even a little more friendly than I personally like, but that goes with the small town setting where youll find this eatery. The location itself is on older building, I think it was a drive in hamburger joint in its previous life, so it is small and crowded, but not overly so. Overall good food, good service. Worth checking out if your in the neighborhood.

Love it! All the fresh chips and salsa you can eat. Generously portioned meals. Everything is cooked perfectly every time and all custom changes or omissions to any plate are done right. Side orders and extras and drinks are all served right. Its priced right and is good comforting food just like a grandmas home made style of yummy food. I have been eating here regularly since I moved to the area about a year ago. I have always been happy with the food and service. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, and bathrooms are always clean. Every one of the servers is always excellent.

My first time eating here was a little over a week ago. I have had it twice sense then. It has become my go to pregnancy craving obsession. Their carne asada tacos are my favorite. And their chips and salsa is soooo yummy! I want to get food from there right now and tomorrow and the next day and the day after that......

Small town restaurant. A bit cramped, but they have good food and excellent management. The building is old but they have done a lot to clean and renovate as best they can. Love love the Gringas, Alambres, and salsa. Some of the young staff could use a bit more training.

Showed up 20 minutes to close with what was supposed to be 10 people. Only 7 came. They opened the banquet room and were fantastic. Our server even made our son his own specialty ketchup/ranch frysauce (5 year olds are weird) thank you again! Food was amazing!

Its a dive but the food is ok. Some people recommended this place to me saying "it looked like a dive but the food was great". Well, after eating there, Id say it looks like a dive and the food is eatable at best. Id Recomend Costa Vida by a mile over this place.

We were recomended to this restaurant bu a friend and we will be back to try other items. Waitress was nervous (new) but did a good job keeping our drinks and check. Food was fast, chips were fresh when they came to us. The best in the area so far.

Very bland make sure you ask if meat comes in your food items. Youd assume a enchilada would come with meat...it didnt. Def gringo. Stop at mavericks grab a snack and head to slc.

I wish their dishes were cheesier. More cheese would bring me in here more often. Even asking for extra cheese doesnt work. For Mexican food, it is uncustomarily cheese free.
