Heres a story for you. One day my family wanted hamburgers. Were from here. A few of us are enemies from across the river but we accept that rivalry makes life interesting; this day happened to be the Burley Minico game and the tension was high. So we decided on Ediths for hamburgers (to go because we were listening to the game on the radio). The issue came when a Bobcat and a Spartan got in the car to go get the burgers. The Bobcat went crazy as Burley scored a goal and the Spartan decided it would be best to just leave the Bobcat at Ediths instead of having to suffer the hoots and hollers that come along with home team touchdowns. By the time they reached Ediths restaurant, they were mortal enemies. The Spartan was swearing to disown all of the family from the wrong side of the Snake. The Bobcat was smack talking like crazy. It would go down in history as The Great Divide in my family. Until they smelled the burgers. That delicious smell of a correctly grilled patty and fresh buttery bun removed any untoward emotion from their beings. Suddenly they were family again about to enjoy the down right tastiness hamburger the state of Idaho has to offer. Do I believe that the food from Ediths averted a civil war within my family? You bet your buns I do. Its that good.

You Had One Job . . . There is something to be said about specializing. Edith’s Café in Burley does one thing. They make burgers and fries. Not a variety of burgers and fries; just one burger, topped how you like it, and fries; Idaho potatoes, cut, and deep-fried. That’s it. I just described the entire menu at this eclectic little restaurant. Oh, I should mention. Everything on their menu is awesome; and when I say awesome, I mean awesome when awesome meant something—Awesome, as in big, beautiful, golden, respectfully juicy, and eyes-rolling-into-the-back-of-my-head best burger in town.

My Husband and I had heard about Ediths and decided to try it. We were surprised at the menu. H ambers and fries. When we got out fries they were very crisp. (more like potato chips) we asked if we could get some that were less crispy. The waitress took them. Soon a man came from he back with a hat and apron on. He got very nasty with us about wanting new fries. I guess we insulted his cooking. He told us that how all the fries are cook and we need to ask before hand if we want them different. I told him it was our first time at the restaurant and likely our last!!!

This is one of my favorite hamburger restaurants in Burley. You can get frys and a burger or burger and frys. The new building is really nice and the burger sauce is great. The only problem is the limited hours. You have to catch them when they are open for lunch and more than once I have craved some Ediths and showed up to find out they were closed. Definitely worth a visit!

One of the best burger joints in Burley. Great traditional food. Simple menu, simply great. Just remember that they do have weird hours for a restaurant so make sure you call before to see if they are open. If you want some good food and a chill atmosphere, take some time to try Ediths Cafe.

One of the best hamburgers in Burley! Its a clean restaurant with friendly staff. Its also great to be able to find good food that is made when you order rather than sitting in a warmer waiting to be ordered. If you havent tried their burgers you should! Yum!

This is the best food place in Burley! They do have great burgers, but most people dont know about the amazing grilled cheese sandwiches they make. Making grilled cheese seems simple but no one can make it like them. I recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Loved the cleanliness. But the BEST thing is the burgers & fries!!! ♡ pretty much the only things on the menu, but they do it RIGHT!!! We will be back Everytime we pass thru on our way to Boise!!!

This is local a local In-N-Out in that they have a very limited menu. What they do offer is excellent. This is easily the best place for burgers in Burley.
