I am for the first time in many years very disappointed. The burgers the guys ordered were fine, but the Patty Melt my mother and I ordered was not what we expected. We have eaten at your restaurant for many years (all of them, the egg factories are or were great too) I have never in my life ordered a patty melt and had it made of beef, cheddar and thousand island dressing on Rye. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress and that we wanted the traditional patty melt with grilled onions, swiss chz on Rye bread, instead of just fixing the issue she argued with us and said that all melts have thousand island dressing (since when I ask you?) Then as she was walking away and taking the sandwiches away to fix the issue, she turned in the middle of the front area to hollar at us "For future reference all melts come with thousand Island dressing!" In front of four tables of customers. She was highly disrspectful and very rude. I have been in the restaurant business for many years. This young lady was inappropriately rude and her name according to the other waitress (as they do not wear name tags) is Dani as it followed on the reciept. If she wonders why she wasnt tipped, she did not deserve it. In case you are unsure of who she is, she had red hair, green glasses and a tatooed sleave on her right arm and multiple piercings on her face. The date was 5/2/2014 and it took place at about 6:30 pm in the front lounge. We will be looking for a new family restaurant to go to from now on.

We went there for the 1st time this morning and our server, Amy, was AWESOME! The timing was perfect. No waiting around for coffee or food and she was patient with us when we were trying to decide what to eat. There were so many delicious sounding items on the menu and I couldnt wait to try any of them. I had the Sausage Lovers Special which was great! It came with a Sausage Scramble, 2 links of sausage and a sausage patty. Included was our choice of bread (I had the pancakes) and it also came with a nice serving of hash browns covered with a sausage gravy. Mmmmmm My girlfriend had the California Scramble. She loved it and it was alot of food, so she took half of it home. She loves coffee annd she mentioned that the coffee their was really good and it was a healthy first serving in their big blue coffee cups smile emoticon All in all, very enjoyable. We will definitely be going again to try other items on the menu smile emoticon Thanks for your great service, Amy!

We came in at dinner time. The food was terrible. The waitress was neglectful. Never bringing drink refills, we saw her maybe twice the entire time we were there. When the manager finally came to apologize about the whole experience, he offered us a dessert "Next time we come in" Um. WHY would we be in AGAIN when this experience was so awful???? I barely touched my food cuz it was soooo sub-par(how can you screw up breakfast?!?) They took a woppin two bucks off of our Forty dollar bill!! Nope. Nope. Nope. Dont waste your money!!! (Ps. Sad, cuz the first time we went, in the morning, it was good) Will NOT be returning.

Years ago when I lived in this area this was the place to go for really tasty food made fresh. Today on my visit I was sad to see that the menus recipe had been changed. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The breaded meat pattie was not made fresh..It was a prepackaged processed blend not freshly prepared unfortunatey I was not aware that the food is not freshly made here anymore shame shame bring back the quality.. .

My husband & I have eaten at the Sunrise many times over the years & to this date we have NO complaints. The people there work their butts off & are always so friendly & attentive. Maybe the ones complaining are the ones that feel theyre so special & need special treatment! I challenge any of you naysayers to step up for a week or two & put yourselves in the shoes of these hardworkers!

If cold food is what you are looking for and staff that is too righteous to fix a problem, then this is the restaurant for you. Horrible experience and whats worse is they still made me pay for the unconsumable food they brought me. I will not be going here anytime soon. Sad because it USED to be my favorite place to dine at!!!

This place is a great substitute for the Middleton Sunrise that has gone way downhill the last few years. They have good comfort food at good prices. I really love it there. The broasted chicked is awesome. We go there at least once a week and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I have been coming here for years..This is our favorite please to eat whether its breakfast lunch or dinner..The staff are great and friendly..They make us feel like home and the food is delicious especially my favorite Pancakes and Banana French Toast with whipped cream..

As close to home cooked as you can find at a restaurant. The Caldwell Sunrise is better than others. Try rib night or have chicken fried chicken. Top it off with mashed potatoes and gravy. Youll be full for 10 bucks. You may have to wait for service cuz its busy but its worth it.

Excellent food, great service, awesome prices! You cant beat the taco omelette or the fresh jam. Coffee was hot & strong, my cup was never empty, my kids were happy with pancakes & fruit bowls. Smiles all around - this place is fantastic!

Good food and great service. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt. The ruben was great. The steak fingers were greasy and had a weird seasoning on them. I would recommend the sandwiches but not the steak.

My favorite breakfast place. Large portions, great servers. Because its always paced, the wait is a little longer but well worth it, plus gives you time to visit with the people you are,aith. Love this place!

The Caldwell sunrise is the best of the sunrise restaurants by far. The service is always good, not always real fast but that would be due to how busy they get. Overall a great dining experience.

Sunrise Cafe is a great place to go for lunch or breakfast. Their food is great, there staff are nice, and its in a convenient location. I dont eat there often, but I always enjoy it when I do.
