If you have any care for humanity and all of Gods people please do not buy from this place. I placed a cake order 11/3 for 12/3 for my husbands surprise party. She took my order down and I was told to send an email of how I wanted the cake, which I did. Unfortunately the email didnt go through or I probably typed it in wrong. So for a whole month the email was not confirmed. I did not contact them during the months time because I trusted them to get the job done. They are a small bakery, and I go in there seldomly. So the day of pick up comes. I called the bakery at 9 asking can I come get it early or should I just wait until 12 which was discussed before. They tell me 12 is best. I said okay and proceed about my day. About an hour later I have 2 missed calls from two different numbers. I call the first number back and its the bakery. Its now 10 and they tell me they dont have my cake made because they dont have my email. You know I placed an order, if you cared about making my money then you would have called me in a months time. They said to just send them the picture and theyll do it. I sent the picture. I get another call back saying they cant do it although they told me they could when I first showed them the picture on my phone when I came in Nov. 3. I said well what am I suppose to do. They asked if I wanted a different cake. I told them that a cake shaped like a 25 would work in the shade blue. We hung up, I called back and asked if they were able to do the NBA golden state design on the cake. Sadly the decorator didnt know what that was. She told me to send an email. So I did that. I called back a few minutes later to see if she could do that. Her response was "yeah I could if I can get off the phone. Thanks" and then she hung up on me. I go up there around 1. Because they told me that they would still have it ready at 12. I sit and wait for them to finish. Its time for me to pay and they are still wanting to charge me $60 which was originally discussed. Might I add that the cake was poorly put together. I ask the young man at the counter if there was anyway I could get a discount because this wasnt what I want. He says he cant, they told me $60 in the beginning. Yeah $60 for what we discussed on 11/3. I said well can I speak with Becky because shes the person I placed the order with. He said "shes going to tell you the exact same thing. So he gets her and Becky is a sweetheart. She wanted to give me 10% off which I would have been happy with. I wasnt asking for much just a little compassion that they let my order sit for a month and then the day of tell me they dont have it. But Becky was hesitant on the 10% so the young man got the owner. The Bald Caucasian older male. I can already see through the window the owner telling the cashier no. So the owner comes out and asks me whats wrong. I explain to him the situation and he says well its the same price that you were going to pay. Yeah but not for a poorly made second hand choice. He says that Ive been calling up there all day (which is a lie) I replied saying I even got hung up on. He says because I called the decorators personal phone. But how did I get the decorators personal phone number obviously because she called me. Im calling someone back who called me. He also tried not to sell me the cake after I said I was going to leave a bad review. Why didnt I walk out at this time, Im not sure, I had no time to go find someone to make me a cake in a few hours. So I sit up here arguing with the man to let me purchase the cake. He tells Becky that he doesnt want to sell it to me because he doesnt need me to call my credit card company and cancel the transaction. After finally selling the cake to me. I told him to rot in hell. His response to me was to go back to the hood that I came from. I guess b/c Im black I come from the hood. Then he tells me to stop passing the crack pipe. Never have I been treated so horribly. Please dont go here.

All over #KingCake #MardiGras and the fact that #BestDangBakery is run by a belittling man who instead of offering good product at good prices with a smile, you get mediocre pastries, made in whatever recipe Ross decides to follow, in a shop that is well overdue for an update/makeover. All of that could be forgiven, however, if not for the fact that we were falsely accused of assault when we brought back 20 min old cakes made wrong to ask for a remake, store credit, apology, anything but what happened on Feb 28, 2017. My wife and I are proud, long standing members of this community and to be treated this way by a local business owner is unacceptable. Furthermore, I would hope that anyone hoping to enjoy a local pastry or have something custom made avoids this bakery that specialises in making memories sour. Our personal suggestion is the new bakery on Hwy 5 going towards Holly Springs called #AlpineBakery or even closer, the #DunkinDonuts or #Publix. As soon as you walk through their doors you feel and smell the difference. Not to mention the taste. In ten years, the only other place weve experienced this type of treatment is at McDonalds. I spent sixteen years in restaurants, from greasy spoons to black tie, from cleaning bathrooms to managing Fortune 100 dining. My wife spent her decade in this same area. Never would we allow a guest to leave our premises feeling like they just went through an emotional title bout. It is not easy being an #LGBT interracial married couple in todays world, but the level of disrespect we and the City of Woodstock received on that day will not allow me to ever, in good conscience, support #BestDangBakery ever again. As conscientious members of our community, I ask you: is a pastry worth supporting the mistreatment of upstanding members of our community? We are Woodstock.

Owner Ross doesnt even know how to deal with a customer. I ordered a cake which I was told at the time of ordering is going to be less than $100 and will not be $100 for sure. When I picked the cake I got twice the size of what I ordered and had layers that I didnt ask for. The lady who delivered answered "I was told to prepare a cake for the whole $100 and I did it to bring it to $100". Really??? You guys bake a cake for customers preference or customers money? I myself is a returning customer and I have many of my friends as your customer. Now you lose not just one, but a set of customers for sure. Finally, just because I am an immigrant, you talk rude to me and comment on my country?! I want to give 0* for your attitude. I am giving 1* for the sake of posting my feedback on you and your store. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY people.
