Let me tell you why this place deserves 1 star. I decided to wait before I write this review in case I "cooled" off but I feel the same as I did the first day of my incident. I went here about 2-3 times a week and ordered at least $60 worth of sushi every time. Their sushi is just okay, more on the lower level but at $3 a roll you cant expect quality. I always got it Togo since their service is a disaster. The first issue was they gave me the wrong Togo order. My house is 10 mins away. By the time I got home they called me and said "YOU TOOK THE WRONG BOX" well I was only handed a box. Not my fault. So I had to go back and switch for the other order which they had the other poor guy wait for me. Well the second time I had a huge issue. I ordered 12 rolls. When I got home they had only given us 8. So 1/3 of my order was missing. I had guests from out of town over and I did not want to drive back another 10 mins. I called them to tell them and see what solution they had. The guy on the phone was not cooperative. I asked them if they can have someone drop the sushi off for me and he laughed and said "we are not your driver". A simple "no" wouldve worked. Then they questioned me asking me how do we know youre not lying. Our chefs dont remember if they made it or not. At this point I was offended and not happy. They put me on hold for 25 minutes. By that point I was in my car driving there very upset. The guy said "I dont get it what do you want me to do for you" I said just give me my sushi. He was mad at me! The lady manager came up and also told me, how do we know youre not lying. The worst part is they all know me...I go there at least 3 times a week (used to anyways). This was the most pathetic attempt Ive ever seen towards a loyal customer. They called me a liar, all employees at that point were in the front staring at me. Lets just say I dropped a couple of F bombs and have never been back. You decide if this is where you want to eat.

I traveled from Henry county, about an hour drive, with a friend to come shopping up here but first, we stopped to eat some sushi. Well we ate and then we paid and Im sitting waiting and its taking forever so I look at my bank account to see if I had enough money or what was the hold up turns out they charged my card three times and then made an imprint of my card as well and tell me the machine wasnt accepting my payment and I was like "it sure did, you charged me three times" I asked to see a manager and get it voided and there was no manager on duty and I had to wait another 30 minutes to speak to him that he was on his way. Well he gets there and basically tells me it will not charge me its just holding the money until the end of the night. Well I came here to shop and now am out $130 because they are "holding" my money and then the next day I check its still pending and so two days after I ate there the payment is no longer pending it was posted. They never voided anything. So I call back and speak to a different manager that says she will call me back...never did...its 5 days later today and they never refunded me or even called to make it right!! I called my bank and my bank handled it but I still dont have the money and wont for another 7 days...ridiculous.

Kuroshio is a revamp of the former restaurant Blusushi. It shares tight quarters with a number of businesses in this mini mall complex and so parking can be difficult to find in the immediate vicinity. While the dinning room is small it is nicely done, however the flat screens and ball games can make it seem like a sports bar at times and the ghetto "trap" rap music blaring club level loud will spoil the freshest sushi and definitely must go. However, Kuroshios offerings are bountiful, the menu is magazine thick and list everything from salad, soup, tempura, yakitori, nigiri, poki, sashimi, ramen and udon, a variety of specialty rolls and lemongrass dinners which are their vegetarian offerings. The food is very good, prepared and presented well, aside from the annoying music other irritations are the spotty service, which is mostly good yet at times can be unacceptably obnoxious and rude. Additionally, the place is small so there could be an extended wait for a table or service once seated, and there are petty fees for take out orders and request for extra sauces. Beyond those few inconveniences Kuroshio is very good a sushi bar and certainly worth a visit, however sushi snobs and purest should stay away and save everyone their pretentious assessment.

Sorry, but this was a disappointing place. Maybe I set my expectations too high, but I consider Japanese a specialty food that requires care and finesse. The pork katsu was ok, but still subpar. The breading had a nice crunch, but the meat inside was dry. It came with a thousand island dressing (why?) and dark dipping sauce that was too intense for a katsu dish. The rice was also dry. We also had a dish of rainbow rolls, but the freshness of the fish was questionable. One good part of the meal was the miso soup. Good balance in taste and a great appetizer. My suggestion when looking for a Japanese place to eat would be to be knowledgeable in the freshness of the fish, because that will make all the difference. If the fish is very fresh and the place can pull off a great and simple sushi, it reflects their dedication to quality in everything else.

The service and management here is very poor. After rushing me thru my order on phone of course my order was WRONG. Was told I would have to wait again for correction. Young man had a big attitude when I explained that I wanted what I ordered and the long wait was unfair. The young man whom I was told was the manager became even more unpleasent. During my wait I noticed signs posted about their customers being important and blah blah blah. That was not the case during my visit the food was fair but I would not suggest that you eat Here! Barrett Pwy. location is much much better. Food, service, the whole experience

I have not always felt this way about this restaurant but in more recent days (2015-now) the service has been absolutely horrible. I have received the WORST customer service EVER no matter how genuinely I present myself. Ive ordered the same items for almost three years and its like, the only place that can get it right is the Canton location. I called the Cobb Parkway location today with hopes of finally resolving this issue. I was told there was no manager on duty at the time. This explained a lot considering my food not only looked terrible it tasted even worst! I will not be returning to this location, ever.

Love the location in Kennesaw. Hate the location at Cumberland. The matre d station was too close to the door and too close to the bar which was too small. Until youre actually seated, you’re just in everyones way. Even the host had trouble maneuvering around departing patrons. I ordered Cajun roll and got a rice roll with a smidgeon of something in the middle. It was tasteless and not a bit spicy. Even the wasabi was mild. One time visit for me. Im going back to Kennesaw where I can count on the quality and the comfort.
