So disappointing! We love the original and so were excited that this one was convenient to our route. The first indication that it would be a bumpy ride was when we signed in with the hostess and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait (despite many tables being unused, but also not bussed). Customers waiting for tables were seated on the window ledge behind counter seating. It was snug, but not ridiculously so. There was a woman eating at the bar who was very bothered by our sitting there. She kept turning around to look at us and eventually packed up her food in a to-go box. She turned to us and asked us to move down the ledge, as we were making her uncomfortable, so much so that she was getting her food to go! So, this was not the restaurants problem, but just added to our overall negative experience. As she was leaving, she told my husband how rude he was to have been standing over her shoulder while she was trying to eat. He was standing several feet behind her and off to the side watching the soccer game on the tv over the bar. My advice: Dont sit at the counter in the bar area if you have an issue with people standing behind or near you. In the meantime, a couple who came in after us was seated at a four top. So we had to keep waiting. Behind the woman at the counter. Once seated, in the back room (even though tables were available in the front room), the service was fine. The food was ok, nothing special. There were a few snafus with the order. Overall, we were underwhelmed by the food, ok with the waitstaff, disappointed by the hostess/seating experience, and puzzled and offended by The Woman at the Counter.

This restaurant boasts southern cuisine. The fried green tomatoes were the worse Ive ever had. My daughter ordered the vegan BBQ wrap and was brought out the chicken, and the waiter told her she didnt say vegan. My daughter clearly said vegan when she ordered her wrap. The rest of the food was just ok, Nothing that I would return to. The trip was ruined when the bill came. We were charged for the food that was sent back, but the waiter was quick to apologize for his mistake. When the bill came back out there was a $10 service charge. The waiter said it was automatic since our party was over 6 people. But everyone else had a service charge of $1-$2, and no one could explain the $10 service charge on our bill. When we tried to get an explanation, our waiter avoided us altogether. My husband had to go find him. He laughed when he saw we were getting upset and said he charged us for gratuity since we had 7 in our party, then said he couldnt bring the receipts. My husband and son went to the bathroom. They said it looked as if it hadnt been cleaned all week. In the end the manager ended up taking the whole bill. While I appreciate that, I will never return to this restaurant and I will not recommend it and I have to give a 1 star review.

This was my first visit to any of the Flying Biscuit locations. My son from Austin, Texas was in town and enjoys eclectic and local fare rather than the big chain restaurants. He had the Fried Green Tomato Salad and really enjoyed it, telling me that I had made a good choice of restaurants (a high compliment from him). Others in our party had the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich and the BBQ Chicken Wrap...and enjoyed them (although my teenage son would have preferred the wrap without the collard greens). I HAD to sample one of your breakfast items. I tried the signature biscuits topped with scrambled eggs and turkey sausage gravy...with dusted potatoes. Good...but the biscuits were not as fluffy and overwhelmingly scrumptious as I hoped would be. The personable server tried to talk us into having grits, but we non-Atlantans are just not grits-eaters. The location was pretty empty on a rainy Thursday night .... And the atmosphere was lacking a bit......BUT if we lived closer, we would definitely return to the Flying Biscuit.....and who knows.....I might even sample the grits!

This was our first time here and as a server at a five star restaurant, there are certain things I look for and expect when I go out to eat. We were greeted warmly and promptly upon our arrival. The lady with the accent (Caribbean I think), was so nice. Jeremiah was our server and he was so nice, accommodating and patient. The food? The food was AMAZING!!! I had the plate with chicken sausage, grits, eggs and a biscuit. I was flabbergasted. It was just like a breakfast I would have made at home except my grits and biscuits dont compare!!! I am in love with this place and will be back twice a month!!! The entire service staff was kind and warm. Counts for so much with me! God job guys, keep up the good work! Love, Karima

Having been a frequent visitor to the downtown locations, Both Candler Park and Midtown I thought this location to be a safe bet for late lunch brunch choice.. Boy was I wrong!!! Got my normal favorite the "Eggstravaganza" Man was I dissapointed!! Barely cooked potatoes dried out lukewarm chicken sausage and half cooked turkey Bacon!!! The french toast was very dry. The waitress was running around trying to service the whole restaurant!! The other issue, understaffed!! Restaurant nice and open nice music as earlier reviewer stated. I definitely Would Not recommended going to this location!!

I completely do not understand why the other reviews are so terrible. I come to this location at least once a month. The food here is fantastic, I have never been disapointed with anything I have ordered. The service isnt the fastest in the world but the servers do take care of you and will work with you if you want substitutions or extras of anything. I have seen people get ... upset because they didnt understand what came on/with what they ordered. If youre a picky eater just make sure to read the description of what you order, as you should anyway.

This is the best place for breakfast in town. I just went for the first time today and cant praise the place enough. Firstly I need to say that Matthew is the greatest, he was our greeter, server, and entertainment in-between with witty jokes and warm personality. The food was great quality too, I keep trying to decide what my favorite part of the meal was but very time I start to write one down I change my mind again because it was all sooooo good. Do yourself a favor, give them a try and start your day off with the best breakfast place in town.

Ive been here a few times, as well as the original & other "corporate" locations. The food is usually pretty decent, but not close to the original, which tastes like home. However, the service is hit or miss. Ive had great servers, but mostly mediocre. Today I was NOT impressed with the attitude of the 2 young and one elderly hostesses! I felt like they were doing me a favor. I guess the name brings in enough business. From now on I will be going to J Christophers! The grits are not worth it here.

First time eating at this restaurant. What a great place!! The food was delicious and the service even better!!! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Our server Lauren was very efficient and courteous. It was a very busy time while we were there but she took excellent care of us & was so personable!! Ill definitely be back and will request her section. I loved the biscuits with raspberry spread!! Looking forward to trying other things on the menu!!
