Went to Soul Delious in Morrow on A Sunday after work. I gad been wanting anVeggie Plate of Soul Food fir some time. I work two jobs and dont really have time to cook and get prepared for my next job on Sunday. I went to This Is It first, but they were closed. So I decieded to go on to Soul Delusous, after I was previously told that they were no good, but deciede to see for myself. I bought two dinners fory self and daughter. I also bought a salad. My daughter wanted Greens ,Tilapia, Mac & Chez, & Potatoe Salad. I got a Salad, Greens, Black Eyed Peas, Butter Beans & Okra, & Fried Okra. The Salad & Fried Okra were good. But was full on that, but wanted to try the other veggies before I laid down to have a nap before my other job. The Greens were TOOOOOOOOOOO SWEET & the Black Eyed Peas were UNDER COOKED. I BIT INTO THEM AND THEY WERE CHRUNCHY. This happend about 3months ago. I called them back to tell them about it, she told me I could come back and get more food. I told her I decied not to. I am this type of person, I try you once and I am not satisfied, I font give you a second chance. First impression is always the best impression with me. I waist a lot of money on things like this. Till this day I have yet to get my money back. I called them a second time, she is still trying to send me a gift card. I told her I am not coming back to visit this business so why are you still trying send me a gift card. She keep talking about her Corporate office. I spent $25 dollars on food that me and my daughter did not eat, I still had the food in the fridge weeks after. I told her I could bring tyem back and show her, she said no, you can duscared them and that they will send me my money back still nothing!

We checked out this restaurant based on a passionate argument between 2 hairstylists. The lead stylist was bragging about the place and how a client was going to take her there for lunch. She was so excited. The younger stylist said she wanted to come along with them. The lead said, "Oooh no, Honey! Shes going to take ME only and the rest of you are just going to have to imagine how good the food is. And Im NOT bringing anything back. Its my turn to get treated! " The back and forth banter, while hilarious did make me curious.... Upon entering the restaurant, my husband and I were warmly greeted by a friendly hostess. Plus, my husband received a military discount for his service. The overall prices are excellent! Our server JT was awesome and anxious to please. The food....THE BEST on the south side of ATL!!! The Mac N Cheese, collards greens and candied yams were *TO LIVE FOR*!!! My husband went nuts for the Walnut Raisin and fresh Apple Salad. They have great vegetarian options. A few days later we went back to get takeout for the entire family! All the kids were silenced by the wonderful flavors. If we didnt have to open our own shop on Sundays, we would be right there for their Sunday Brunch events, which feature LIVE MUSIC and GOSPEL or JAZZ. The south side was in need of a great home style buffet with flair... and *SOUL DELICIOUS* as its name states is it!!!!!!

Its Fathers Day, so its busy. I understand that. No problem. HOWEVER, theres no reason why we were seated at a dirty table. Im talking a ranch dressing puddle, cups, and napkins still trying to be cleared upon arrival. There is a terrible lack of communication amongst the staff. They were snippy and rude to each other, and half seemed to be running around like chickens without a head. My table didnt seem to have an official waiter, so after waiting and waiting, we grabbed someones attention. Mind you, we were all done with our first plates by the time we could get someone to wait our table and take our drink orders. Everyone got The drinks they ordered except for me. I ordered a pink lemonade and was brought a cup of water. Overall, the food was decent, the atmosphere was nice, and the band was okay, but they need a bigger facility and more staff.

I didnt like the place at all. The food was nasty. The food tasted like no one seasoned it. Some of the food was cold. Not a great selection of food. They had a great live gospel band. The customer serve was ok. But i really didnt care for the food. We had a group of 5 people (2 adults and 3 kids) they tried sitting us in the overflow room. It felt like 100° in there and when we tried to actully sit back in the restaurant, they truly did not want to accommodate us. The kids didnt really like their food. To sum it up we really didnt eat there but had to pay alot of money. Only to go home and still cook Sunday dinner. It was a waste of time and my money. Sorry but i wasnt impressed.

The food at this restaurant is excellent! Buffet line is clean and the food is hot and looks good. However, customer service is something entirely different. Upon walking through the door we barely got an acknowledgment. Stood for about two minutes before staff said anything. We were almost done with our first plate of food before we had drinks or napkins. After tipping no one offered a closing greeting as we were leaving, only stares. You could have the greatest food/product on the planet but it wont matter in the long run if you dont have at least decent customer service. This restaurant has great potential but poor service is far more memorable than great food!

My friends and I decided to try Soul Delicious on a Sunday after church. This is a buffet style restaurant and paid about $12 per person. We left very disappointed! Cons: They had basic rice, basic fried chicken, and a few sides to choose from. Ive seen church potlucks with better presentation and quality of food! The fruit bar, left much to be desired as there was only one fruit to choose from. In addition, The restaurant itself is not very updated (you can tell it was a Chinese food restaurant prior). Also, the band was extremely loud. Pros: My Arnold Palmer (sweet tea lemonade mix) was pretty good. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Im not sure if its because of the time of day I went, but I was totally dissatisfied! Everyone has told me how phenomenal the food was here so I was eager to try it. I order two smothered pork chop plates to go and it was bland. The mac and cheese wasnt seasoned and taste exactly like half way melted velveta cheese. The collard greens were seasoned fine but werent cooked enough. The price of one plate was $7.35 which wasnt bad for home cooking. I just think my expectations were high and they didnt live up to the hype

This was our first experience...maybe my husband and I went too late... but the food was cold...ice cold...they offer to warm my plate... (where?..microwave in the back)...hmmm... there was not much of a selection of food.... for a Sunday dinner and the price to be 11.50...no deserts... oh yeah..muffins???...like really??.. the sweet tea was good... I mean the food wasnt bad, but I expected a little more for the price... oh...the live band was pretty good!
