Well...Not sure why Im compelled to leave a review, but here it goes. First visit was satisfactory at best. Service was fair and the atmosphere was ok. Pableno peppers had seeds all in it and made it almost uneatable even for someone that enjoys some heat. No mild salsa for my wife who is not a spicy kinda gal. Selection was limited but limited selection is not necessarily a bad thing. The Mex Grits are off the chain good. Next few visits: Honestly the only reason for our return was from convenience. However the service had picked up and the peppers got better. My biggest complaint was that My wife ordered a Mex salad and it was really small portion for $ 8+. The folks there are nice but dont give off a warm "glad to see you back" feeling. After several visits I do feel they are getting better service and perfecting some of their food. They still need to give alternative to their hot salsa. My wife is not to crazy about visiting there, but I have to say the Pableno Peppers are great now that they stopped leaving the seeds in them. In fact the last few visits, I would say the best P.peppers around. Overall these guys have improved since opening. Im a big support of small business and hope these guys find their nitch in the competitive Mexican restaurant Business. Its worth trying them out.

I dont know what all the hullabaloo is about this place (people always rate new places off the charts because they are just excited to have something finally close to home). We placed a "To Go" order for (2) California Burrito dinners and were completely disappointed. First of all, I had to call like 7 times because no one answers the phone over there. Anyway, my steak tasted rotten, like when raw meat is left out for a couple of nights soaking in blood, then someone fries it up, seasons it and serves it to you. Seriously!! I stopped eating after the second bite. When I called the Manager, he told me they get meat delivered fresh daily, which is comforting, however, something was wrong with the steak that day. He told me to come back for another burrito but, once again, when I called to place a "To Go" order, no one ever answered the phone. This went on for a week. It has been months and I still havent been back to claim my $9 burrito. I guess its not even worth the gas. Now thats sad...

Overpriced for the (low) quality of food. New to the area we stopped by Sticky Cactus on a whim for Sunday lunch in hopes of finding a nearby quality Mexican restaurant. The service was very speedy however nearly all the food at the table, from the Mexican grits to the tacos, was bland. The one type of salsa available suffered from the same under seasoning. Plating of each entree was odd to say the least; a taco salad shell set atop a smear of re-fried beans was outdone only by tacos served in an aluminum foil pouch which served only to weaken the taco shell to the point of disintegration when attempting to lift them. For those that remain interested the restaurant itself is kept clean and welcoming and there are weekly specials with $0.99 tacos on Mondays and $0.49 wings on Wednesdays.

Very unhappy tonight with the service. We waited for a long time for them to argue over who our waiter was, then, I had a coupon for a free cheese dip on my phone that I showed to the waiter before we ordered and he brought it out and after we started eating it then said the coupon had to be printed, (it is not written anywhere on the coupon that it had to be.), we handed it back to him and said never mind. After the slow service and then this and having to listen to loud music which never finished a song one after the other we were finished. After working hard all day long we dont need to be stressed out and pay for sorry customer service. If this had been our first visit, we would NOT be going back and as it is, not sure we are going to anyway.

I love this place - friendly people and good food. A few more spicy options or a hotter salsa would be nice. The Sticky Grits are great. It is a smaller place so it can get packed, as can the parking lot. People get creative in their parking after the other two businesses at the site are closed. They had a few issues after they first opened years ago, but overcame them and have been a favorite for years. While we like the food, a large reason they are a favorite is for the people working there.

My server had never had any of the items we asked about. She actually told me to not order one item. She was nice and polite but lacking in training. Seems management (maybe ownership?) was more interested in their friends at the bar. Never saw anyone in a position of leadership walking around asking if everything was okay. You may be a small business with a local following but growing that following is important. The 4 of us had never been here and will never return. Disappointing to say the least.

The food is ok, just make sure the waiter repeats the order back to you. when our food came out wrong they agreed to fix it. So when the waitress came back with our food she said that we had to send back the wrong order so I had to scrap it onto a empty plate she brought with her. I was embarrassed. I would have paid for the wrong food also but the situation caught me off guard ( although I offered to pay when the tab came). So ask to repeat the order and save yourself from embarrassment.

Sucky Gringo Bland Grill. Horrible service and bland food. How can you have a Mexican restaurant and not have salsa verde? I tried the carnitas. They were very bland and I had to ask for corn tortillas three times while my waitress looked confused about the question. When I finally got my " not flour tortillas " they tasted like and had the consistency of a corn flavored condom. Taco bell is more authentic than this place.

The food was very good. We had some particular eaters in our group, two vegetarians, one diabetic and one just particular. The waitress was top notch. She did not let any of our requests faze her. She was very helpful. It was wonderful to experience a restaurant that allows you to change anything on the menu to how you prefer it. No attitude as if it were too much trouble. Wish we lived closer, we would visit more often.

Weve always liked eating at the Sticky Cactus, but we wont be going back after our last visit. The food has always been good, but the service was atrocious enough to make me not want to return. The server closed the door on our 3 year old hard enough to knock her off her feet, then just laughed and said "sorry!". The waitress just flat our never came to take our order so we left after 15 minutes.
