I was visiting my grandkids from out of town with my husband. We had a taste for some Italian food and pizza and heard that this was a good place to eat. We noticed that they had some awesome reviews. We arrived and was told it would be about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later and after several others went ahead of us we notified the hostess that we were still waiting. I have to rate this a 1 star for the customer service. We were never able to get into the restaurant to eat because the hostess forgot about us and start seating other families ahead of us. I would like to think she honestly forgot about us instead of not seating us because of what we look like since the people she seated ahead of us looked different than us.

Our favorite restaurant in the area! Been a fan since they were located in the Best Western in Stockbridge. Great food, great service! My wife and I have probably dined here 40 times over the years, and Ive never had a bad experience. Best lasagna ever! Fresh seafood! Unbelievably good garlic rolls! I should have left this review years ago, but honestly, I kinda wanted to keep it a secret. Apparently the cats out of the bag now...more than once weve shown up around 7pm on a Wednesday or Thursday night, only to find a large crowd waiting outside for a table. My only complaint is that they dont take reservations (I hate to wait!).

First time at Pasta Max and will be our last time. One of us ordered the chicken Alfredo and got an unpleasant surprise. Have seen restaurants use linguine pasta with Chicken Alfredo but have never seen egg noodles used.....dish had no seasoning and was flavorless! The rest of us had the lasagna based on the recommendation of the waitress. Again disappointment! Flavor was good but there was only one layer, barely any meat and who makes lasagna without any ricotta cheese? As you can see from the picture it doesnt even look like lasagna. Grand total for 3 entrees, 2 desserts and 3 sodas $70 + $10 tip!!

Where do I start!! We had to wait an hour outside in the cold. Was it worth it? 100%. The garlic bread was amazing, we had calamari and it was probably the freshest Ive ever had. My husband had pizza and I had the risotto special and they were delicious. We topped it with dessert and again no disappointments. The server was prompt and courteous and our food kept coming without having to wait too long in between entrees. I barely ever give restaurants five stars but this was great. I would ask the owner to expand the place is small and cozy but he can definitely grow his business. Is all about the food!!

Was looking for a place for my friend and I to meet for dinner between Alpharetta and Macon. Found the Pasta Max Cafe and we were not disappointed. It was a Tuesday night and the place was full but not crowded. Service was very friendly and the wine list was better than I expected for such a small place. My friend had the Eggplant Parmesan and I had the Black Pepper Pappardelle. Both were excellent although I must say that the Black Pepper Pappardelle was the best. Great dessert menu included home made Tiramisu. We will be making a return visit.

Visiting and someone suggested this restaurant. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fried green tomatoes. It was actual steak meat and seasoned well with melted Swiss. I enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, fried crispy with thin breaking. I had the "Special" burger of the day. It had fried onion strings, A1 steak sauce and blue cheese crumbles and I ordered a side of fried okra. Everything was delicious. Beautiful painted walls and great service.

We accidentally happened upon this restaurant because we thought we were going to try the Seasons Bistro across the street. Alas, twas out of business! Instead, PastaMax was right there across the street. A party of 8 (locals!) was waiting, but we were seated right away because there were just two of us. :-). Boy! Were we happy! Some of the people waiting in line told us the food was really good, and they were right! When we come this way again, we will definitely go back to PastaMax!!!

Found this restaurant this week and was delighted to have food this good so close to us. Everything about this place is great. We love the pizza and salads. Highly recommended. When you think that this place has a rating of 27 and the world famous French Laundry in Napa, CA has a 29 you can understand what caliber of food we are talking about. The whole downtown McDonough is also just very cool. I think we are going to eat here at least a few times each week. R

Definitely overpriced, I went for dinner with my husband he ordered fettuccine Alfredo which he said was so bland, the ceasar salad tasted so fishy:/ the bruschetta was warm & on thick soggy bread. I had stuffed eggplant which too didnt have much flavor I was expecting a lil crispness to the breaded eggplant...nope! We both agree this was a one & done! So mad I wasted $50. I would not recommend this restaurant.

in the area with great food. I was with a large party and the bill had gratuity added on which is normal, but it was 18% of the overall bill, including tax. Also, one of the members in the party spilled their water and the waiter did not help with cleanup and continued right on with the rest of the group, filling orders. First bad experience we have had here, but again the food was very good.

The waitress was friendly. The place was clean with a great atmosphere. We had the crispy eggplant, which was amazing! Wasnt that crazy for the Caesar salad though. The rainbow pasta the waitress recommended was the best pasta dish weve had! We live 2 hours away but have an appointment again in May. We fully intend to return. Definitely recommend.

Great place to EAT. 1st time experience, the atmosphere is really nice and the staff are super friendly. Ordered the lasagna. Really good. There rolls are to die for. If we are in the area again we will stop by, we only hated we drove around 20 looking for free parking. So bring change fo lr the meter!!!

Service was fast. I had the Fetucine with shrimp, my wife had lasagna both were fantastic. For dessert we had chocolate chip cheesecake which was just rich enough to fill your palate with its flavor but not overwhelm. Cozy, intimate atmosphere, crowded when we went and after eating there is easy to know why.

Ive been eating here for years, and Ive never had a bad experience. The food is freshly made, and it is AWESOME, and the service is top notch. I love the location, too - right off the square in downtown McDonough. If you come at peak dinner hour, you might have to wait... but its worth it.

Great food, great romantic atmosphere. The calamari, shrimp alfredo and tiramisu were all wonderful. The service was stellar. The ingredients were high in quality. Their food tastes better than Olive Garden. I highly recommend this place for special events and catering.

I am in love with this place! The food is awesome, location is quaint, and the service was great. I enjoyed our waitress (im sorry i cant remember her name but she is a blondie). My first time definitely wont be my last. My seafood was fresh and the pasta was too.
